Dieses Haus am See bietet die perfekte Kulisse für eine Familie oder mehrere Paare, um die erlebnisreichen Tage zu genießen, entspannte Abende am Lagerfeuer zu genießen, den Sonnenuntergang zu beobachten oder in einem der besten Restaurants der Gegend zu speisen, die nur wenige Minuten entfernt sind. Gehen Sie 25 Fuß zum Dock hinunter und genießen Sie den wunderschönen Sandstrand, der zum Schwimmen und Spielen einlädt.

Das Haus besteht aus einem ursprünglichen roten Zedernblockhaus mit Küche, Bad, Schlafzimmer, großem Wohn- / Esszimmer und einem gemütlichen Loft mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten für entspannte Zusammenkünfte. 2009 wurde ein zusätzlicher Anbau errichtet, der eine komplette Wäscherei, ein Foyer, ein Hauptschlafzimmer mit Gaskamin und Flachbildfernseher, eine begehbare Dusche und 2 Gästezimmer mit einem Jack- und Jill-Badezimmer im Obergeschoss umfasst.

Das Haus beherbergt 8 bis 10 Personen sehr komfortabel. Sie werden Northwoods-Dekor, Ledermöbel und das Ambiente und die Annehmlichkeiten finden, die Sie in erstklassigem "Up North" Haus erwarten würden.

Die Lage ist perfekt. Ein kurzer Spaziergang und Sie sind auf dem Wegesystem. 5 Kilometer von den Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Walker und nur 5 Minuten von Boulders entfernt. Sie werden viel zu tun in der Stadt Walker mit dem historischen und wunderschön umgebauten Hotel Chase on the Lake, Reeds Sporting Goods, Restaurants und Spezialitätenläden für alle zu finden.

Das Haus befindet sich in einzigartiger Lage, nur wenige Meter von der Küste der schönen Bucht von Kebekona entfernt. Zugang zu Walker Bay und Leech Lake ist eine schnelle 2 oder 3 Minuten Fahrt nach Osten über die Bucht. Verpassen Sie nicht eine Erfahrung, die Sie nicht vergessen werden!

Das Haus ist nur 1,5 km von über 100 km Wanderwegen zum Schneemobilfahren entfernt. Stellen Sie Ihr Fischhaus (Vermietung in der Nähe) aus der Hütte in der Kabekona-Bucht heraus, wo der Zander auf Sie wartet!

Perfect Ice Fishing Weekend

We had a great weekend in this cabin, it was equipped with everything we needed!!! Monica was fast to respond to all messages I sent her before, during, and after the trip. There was plenty of room for 8 adults for a long weekend getaway. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone.

Old Crony Annual Golf Outing

We have stayed at VRBO listed properties all over northern Mn lake country for years. There is finally unanimous consensus amongst 8-70 something Yr old dudes that we have found our "go to" for future events. The pics and description of this beauty are spot on. It is a majestic place. The "extras" as far as provisions provided however are above and beyond anything I have ever experienced in 35 yrs of renting vacation spots. Finally, Monica is professional, responsive and a delight to do business with.

We loved the beautiful north woods cabin right on the shoreline with amazing sunsets. Our 2 English setters also had a blast. The kitchen was very well stocked, with everything you can imagine. Hope to be back another time!

Second year in a row - love it!

Our second annual Labor Day gathering for our family. We just love this place. Gorgeous point on a lovely bay of Leech Lake which is perfect for relaxing, swimming, playing bocce ball & Frisbee, and just hanging out. The lake house is beautifully appointed with everything you need. Highly recommended!

Lovely Family Weekend

We had a wonderful long weekend with my family. There were 4 couples and each family was comfortable in their own room. The kitchen was easy to use and had all the tools and equip. that we needed so our meals were really nice too. There were good hang-out spaces for folks to take a break when the hustle and bustle of the larger group was tiring. It was a lovely family weekend and the location and house were just right for us. AMAZING! BETTER THAN THE PICTURES!

This is truly a very special place, perfect for any and all interests. Location is perfect. Fishing, biking, walking, shopping, eating, kayaking, reading, games, puzzles, movies, smores by the fire! We stayed there the month of September & would not hesitate to book again! It will be our 1st choice. Great communication with Monica! We cannot say enough good about this home. Snowmobile get away

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! We had 2 families with 4 adults and 5 teenagers. The cabin was spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed the close proximity to the snowmobile trail. It was a little tight getting the snowmobile trailers turned around in the yard. The owner was very quick to respond when we had trouble with the door lock and reset the code for us. Overall great experience and would definitely stay here again!

The Point Cabin, a perfect vacation spot!

We loved our recent stay here! The house is so well equipped, beautifully appointed, actually couldn't have been better. Everyone loved the comfy beds, huge windows and ceiling fans (we rarely needed the a/c). The screened porch may have been our favorite spot, a great place for 'happy hour' and the sunset views from there were unbeatable. Beautifully clean lake with sandy bottom for swimming and we appreciated the boat lift and large dock. The yard was perfect for croquet and we had a fire for s'mores. The owner was very helpful with all the arrangements and responded quickly to questions. Thanks for such a wonderful vacation spot!

All was wonderful at the home.

We had a great winter escape. Home was cozy and spacious, very comfortable. All nice amenities but I think it advertised as queen beds and they were double beds in all but the master. So cozier than expected. Down side was the check out time of 10:00 am and the door code stopped working at 8:30am. Found this out when my husband was loading the car and could not get back in the house, luckily I could let him back in. Be wary of this if you have smaller children, you could get locked out and have to call the owner to get back in to continue packing. I recommend the door code not be changed until actual check out time at 10:00 am please. Overall a great stay!!

Wonderful Cabin and great location

We just got back from a wonderful week at The Point Cabin. The lake was beautiful, the yard and lakeshore area was perfect for relaxing and playing, and the cabin was perfect! The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, utensils, and appliances, the beds are comfortable and the cabin is very large to accommodate a larger group. It is a perfect mix of new and old and has a very comfy up-north feel while still having all the conveniences of home and is very clean. Our group ranged in ages from 1 to 76 years old, the accommodations were great for every age. There is a boat launch very close and we even had great fishing off the dock! Ensure if you are here in the summer and have a boat you explore the channel between Kabekona Bay and Lake Benedict as it was very beautiful and fun to explore! The owners were some of the best I have worked with in terms of homes I have rented before. They were very friendly and helpful in answering any questions we had. I have a few tips for those with young children...do not forget a baby monitor and consider bringing a baby gate! We did not bring a baby monitor and it would have been helpful as the kids (1 and 3 years old) slept in the upstairs bedrooms in the very back of the house and it was hard to hear them if we were downstairs. Also there are 2 sets of stairs to the 2nd story and the front set of stairs is not very kid friendly (and of course our kids loved playing on it). I'd consider bringing a baby gate to put between the front and back sections of the loft and something for the bottom of the wooden stairs.

Great Place for a Winter Getaway

Perfect family lake getaway

After having our own lake place for 20 years we had to give it up about 10 years ago as our parents aged. This was a chance to get our family together again for Labor Day at a gorgeous Minnesota lake and it exceeded all our expectations. A magical stay at a wonderful lake home.

The Point Cabin was purchased by our parents in 2000 after more than 15 years of staying at resorts on Leech Lake. Our parents restored the cabin to like-new condition and added on in 2008. Sadly, our mother passed away in 2010 and life took our father in a different direction. In 2018 we had the opportunity to purchase the family cabin. We look forward to not only our family continuing to make memories in our beloved home, but for your family to make lifelong memories here as well!

After vacationing in the Walker / Leech Lake area for many years, falling in love with the area and making many friends we decided we wanted to own a property here so that we could spend more time enjoying all that we had come to love. After much looking we chose a charming red cedar log “cabin”. It was a private refuge with a secluded, calm “up-north” feeling. Over the years we remodeled and finally added on in 2009 creating an amazing retreat. Life then took us in a different direction and we didn’t have the time to spend at the lake that we once had. We decided to maintain our family cabin and make it available to others as a remarkable rental property.

The Point Cabin, as we call it, is uniquely situated on a small point of Kabekona Bay affording incredible, panoramic views of this beautiful Northern Minnesota lake. You will enjoy a 180 degree view of the bay. A mere 25 feet from the water the cabin provides an intimacy with the lake that few other properties can. Less than 10 steps and you are on the dock. There is also a beautiful lawn to enjoy lawn games, a fire ring for the marshmallow roast or relaxing and telling your favorite Minnesota ghost stories. Cast a line from the dock, take a swim in the sand bottom swim area or read a book in the hammock. A short walk and you can access the area's trail system or rent a boat/jet ski and enjoy fishing or water sports on this protected bay. Prefer shopping or dining? The Point Cabin is located about 3 miles from downtown Walker and even closer to one of the area’s finest restaurants, Boulders (Reservations recommended!). Whatever you decide to do on your vacation, this is the place to do it.
