About the home
“The Bight - Cape Woolamai” is a delightful double-storey family home in Cape Woolamai just a short drive or comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cape Woolamai. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs is the large 2nd Living/Rumpus room (with TV) which opens on to the rear deck and provides access to the laundry (with washing machine and clothes dryer). A central hallway leads from here to Bedrooms 3 & 4 (each with built in robes), the main bathroom (with bath & shower) plus a separate toilet. Upstairs is the huge light-filled open plan Kitchen (the walk in pantry is not accessible to guests) and Dining/Living Room (with TV), Bedroom 1 with a walk in robe and ensuite (with shower & toilet), Bedroom 2 (with built in robes) and another separate toilet. The first floor rear balcony is accessed from the Living/Dining room.
Outdoor Areas
The first floor semi-covered rear deck has a bar, as well as table and chairs for 8 people and a gas bbq and can be accessed internally from the Dining Room and also via a set of external stairs. The downstairs deck can be accessed internally from the 2nd Living Room and overlooks the delightful enclosed yard with an outdoor hot/cold shower. There is space to park up to 4 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the two driveways, but guests do not have access to the garage.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are three wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners in the home; one in the upstairs Kitchen/Dining room, one in the downstairs 2nd Living Room and one in Bedroom One. There are ceiling fans in all four bedrooms, and electric blankets for the beds in the two downstairs bedrooms.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 6 beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Double bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): Two Long Single beds (which can be converted into a King bed)
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): Two Single beds
Please note that if you want the Long Single beds to be converted into King beds prior to your arrival, we need at least one week's notice before checking in.
Long single mattress dimensions are approximately 91cm x 203cm and converted king bed dimensions are approximately 180cm x 203cm.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
