Perfect family spot with an ocean view!

A hidden gem for sure. There was plenty of local shopping and eating but still felt low key and tucked away in a neighborhood. Would definitely stay again to make more memories with my family.

amazing views and location

The apt was nice and clean just as seen in the pictures with the amazing views. The location was so great there were restaurants in walking distance and paddle board and snorkel gear rentals right across the street. The parks and beaches are incredible and right in the back yard. Everything was just a short drive away for the restaurants on the water or day excursions. If we decided to stay in for a meal the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and a nice table and chairs on the balcony facing the ocean to eat at. It was an amazing vacation I would definitely go back and I would 100% recommend anyone staying at this location.

Beautiful view!

The view is amazing! We had plenty of towels, there were some beach chairs and an ice chest in the closet with an ice maker. It looks exactly like in the pictures. The bathrooms have no windows and there is no air conditioning but there are a total of 4 fans plus ceiling fans and good breezes. We would stay here again!

Family Vacay

At the end of the day this was a very good location and worked well for our family. We found the unit to be in need of some TLC. Curtains were torn and barely hanging, kitchen utensils/cookware were lacking and screen door broken and would not close or lock.

Maui beachfront condo

A great condo for two couples with two bedrooms and two baths. This condo has a beautiful ocean view from living room balcony and one of the bedrooms. The condo was very clean and supplied well with towels, kitchen supplies, etc. The building itself is older but again very well maintained. The beach is nice but the pool was small and shady and we ended up using friends pool at another location. This was the reason for 4 stars, all other aspects were 5 stars.

Peaceful getaway

We stayed in Valley Isle 403. Overall, the experience was wonderful. The only thing that was a negative and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that we arrived early and although our room was ready for quite some time, they did not allow us to check in until 4 pm. I understand this if the room was still being cleaned, but it wasn’t. I don’t understand the point of making a family wait in the lobby area for a long time when a room is ready. The view from our condo was amazing, the beach was quiet and tranquil. The location was perfect for outings. We saw sea turtles everyday. The waves were calm and easy for our children to play in. The area is safe for walking and/or running. The heated pool was never crowded. I would recommend this condo for anyone looking for a quiet destination with a beach that doesn’t get crowded.

Older unit but beautiful view

Older unit which we didn’t expect. Also when I searched for an AC unit this popped up. Needless to say we were shocked on arrival but with the winds and doors open it cooled it down. Beach is washed away from storm but you can walk to beach down the road. Grounds are also undergoing repair/Reno/construction. Also when we vacuumed there was so much sand in the carpets it was disgusting and no it wasn’t from our family. We’re meticulous about washing off the sand of everything before coming inside our room/home anywhere. My husband actually spent an hour just going back and forth over the rugs in the two bedrooms once we realized how much sand there was in the carpet.

Thanks for your review, Cass. We always pay attention to what we're doing right and where we can improve. We're sorry you ran into the rug situation. We wish you had let us know, as we would have had replacements out to you immediately. We are having those replaced now. I'm not sure about your AC reference. We don't advertise this unit having A/C. In regards to the beach, during our winter months, depending on the weather and high tides, sometimes we have less or no beach. Beach access may be closed from time to time due to safety reasons due to shoreline conditions. However in the event the beach access is closed from the Valley Isle, public beach access is just a short walk away. As of Jan 2018 there are sand bags that have been placed on the shoreline to protect the property.

Had Maintenance Issues but had a nice stay

When we arrived at night, we got locked in the condo-the front metal screen door was broken and we could not get out-luckily other people eventually were in the hall and helped us. The shower in the kids bath didn't work and it took until the last day to get it repaired, toaster caught on fire regularly. Maintenance came but communication was hard-they did not say specifically that a key needed to be in the lock box, only that we did not need to be home (we thought they had a key).Repair man knocked but my teens were there and did not hear the knocking. Having the five of us share one shower for 8 days was a hassle, getting locked in the unit upon arrival was alarming, and the toaster needs to be replaced. Otherwise, we enjoyed our 10 day stay at Valley Isle.

Prefect location

Condo is close to shopping, restaurants and beaches. The only negative is the construction going on onsite. We woke every morning to hammering but we didn’t stay in the condo most of the day so could live with the noise in the morning. It did get a little warm a few nights when the wind wasn’t blowing. The location to great food and beaches made up for no AC. Would recommend this condo.

Perfect location

Loved the location in the building. Since there is no air conditioning in the building this unit stays shaded from the afternoon sun and you still have great views of the water. Appreciated all the extras such as beach chairs, ice cooler, beach towels, and the ice maker! The location of the building is within walking distance to Maui Brewing, Village Coffee Shop, general stores, as well as Dollies bar and Miso Phat Sushi. There is also a pool eatery in the condos next door. Its not far from Lahaina shops or from Napili shopping center to the north where you can find great beaches and plenty of beautiful scenery.

Perfect Place to Relax

This was our third time visiting Maui. The previous two times we stayed at hotels in the popular resort areas. While we enjoyed the experience, we wanted to try something different this time. And this place did not disappoint. This condo was spacious, had a nice balcony that was perfect for whale watching, easy ocean access (to a beach that was not heavily populated), and was within walking distance to many great restaurants and other beaches/activities. The condo was fully stocked with everything we needed and the lack of AC did not bother us. We would happily stay here again, however I would recommend four people max or it will be crowded.

Clean updated unit, well equipped

The property and surrounding area had a comfortable and very friendly feel. The unit was very clean, spacious, well-equipped and nicely updated. Just a short drive to Lahaina for plenty of dining, shopping, whale watching/snorkeling charters. Closer still was Kapalua and walking along coastal trails and beaches. During our stay the winds were strong which created a strong cross draft through the unit. This was helpful due to the lack of AC but required sliders to remain open while in the unit. Made sleep a challenge when surf was strong....a nice problem to have. The master bedroom would benefit from blackout curtains as those in the living room. We felt little to no privacy in the master. Note: beaches in the area were washed away. I'm not sure if this is seasonal.

In regards to the beach access, the main beach near Valley Isle may become closed from time to time due to safety reasons to to shoreline conditions, however, in this event there is additional beach access a short walk away from the condo. Great Location & View

Great location and plenty of parking. Building is kind of old and photos don't show that to the right you actually have a view of not only the ocean, but the front doors of 4-6 other condos.. Despite the old building, this unit is updated. Kitchen isn't very well stocked for cooking, but really nice/super clean. The fridge is really wedged into a little space so the freezer cannot open all the way - made it hard to get ice out as the ice was not dispensing from the door of the fridge.. The fridge also didn't seem cold enough for the first couple of days. Beds are comfortable and the two bathrooms were a must for our group of 5. Plenty of space in the unit. The bedroom not facing the water is really dark but it didn't matter much as we spent most of our time outside. The pool is great - used the BBQs down there almost every night and they even have a little herb garden! The condo provides beach towels and also some boogie boards. Overall an awesome stay.

Thank you for your view Colby. We always are paying attention to what we're getting right and where we can improve. We try to include as many shots as possible to not only best represent the unit but also the property. We'll try to include more in the future. As well, we take a look at that fridge and make sure it's functioning properly. We're glad it sounds like these items didn't dissuade you from a great experience and vacation. Very clean, non cluttered and functional

We enjoyed the view and easy beach access from the condo. It was decorated nicely without being cluttered, had comfortable clean furniture and the kitchen was well stocked. The linens were nice and plenty of them. We were able to spend time hiking in Kapalua, shopping and dining in Lahaina and Kaanapali with easy access to all. There were plenty of walkable eateries as well. The beach access was fabulous and there were sand chairs and boards to enjoy the water. The internet access allowed us to stream our Blazer and Seahawks games with our laptop. We travel quite a bit and this unit was one that I would recommend!

Thank you for your glowing review, Karen. The easy beach access is really a unique hallmark of this property. And being sports fans, we know, no one wants to miss the game, even on vacation! We're so glad you had such a great stay, and we hope you do return again!

Great unit in a great location

I forgot how relaxing Kahana is. We normally stay down in Kaanapali but it can be too crowded for us. It was nice to have a pool and beach that are not overcrowded. The beach and surf were ideal for relaxing or floating with the sea turtles. As a golfer, it was nice to have Jimmy's golf rentals nearby as well as the fine golf courses. In walking distance is Maui Brewing Co., a great place for food and drink. A short drive away are the shops and restaurants in Lahaina and Whaler's Village. The unit was very comfortable for the 5 of us. The orientation of the unit allows a wonderful cross breeze through the front and out the lanais. We tend to eat in for breakfast and occasional lunches so it was nice to have a kitchen large enough to cook in. A very nice unit and I would highly recommend it!

Kahana is definitely one of the most relaxing places on Earth! Thanks for your kind review, Greg! Maui Brew is also, definitely a favorite of ours as well, with two locations on the island, tasty food, and a great atmosphere. Excellently crafted beer. A must visit when on island. It was our pleasure having you as a guest, and we hope you do consider returning soon!
