Our spacious 3 bedroom apartment is located in the centre of Meaford on the shores of Georgian Bay. Plenty of "walk to" culinary options, 2 blocks to the beach, theatre/music at Meaford Hall, golf, ski, swim, hike & more!

The Dam Crofter offers loads of amenities 1 King bed, 1 Queen bed and 2 Twin beds, 2 full bathrooms, dining room, full kitchen with breakfast bar, dishwasher, microwave, stove, fridge with icemaker. Mudroom with washer & dryer and a large living room with flat screen TV.

It is important to review our house policies prior to booking. Maximum guests is 6. Maximum children is 2 and they must be at least 13 years of age. This property is not suitable for young children.

This property worked beautifully for us. Although there were only two of us, it is a very large apartment and would be perfect for multiple guests. Very clean and comfortable. The location is great
downtown Meaford with very quiet pub downstairs, and several other restaurants/coffee shops on the street, and a short walk the harbour and marina. Stephanie is easy to reach and very responsive. You do need to climb stairs to access the apartment.

two nights in Meaford to attend a memorial for a friend who died

Very, very good. Unusually well-stocked kitchen for this type of property. Otherwise very good kitchen. Very spacious. Wonderful, bright living room and great deck. Roomy. Pillows in the bedroom I stayed too thick and unyielding--suggest bringing your own pillow(s) if you have neck/shoulder issues. Blinds in bedrooms facing Sykes could be better if you like a dark room.

Beautiful Place and Location

Myself and 2 others played in a golf tournament in August and stayed here as it was close to the golf course. It is a beautiful place and well maintained. The pub below is only open from Wed - Sun but we did not find it loud on the Wed night. The host was great to deal with and we did not have any issues getting in touch with her. The location is very nice with a lot of restaurants within walking distance. We also ate at the pub below and the food was good. Note - a lot of the restaurants are not open on Mon & Tues but Thornbury is close and we found most restaurants were open. We would definitely stay here again if we were going to be in the area. Clean and restful

My sisters, aunt, and I really enjoyed this second story rental. This place is so clean-- by far the best we've been to. The kitchen is clean and tidy, including the cupboards and dishes. The place is spacious, with 3 bedrooms, a large dining area, and a full size living room with super comfortable couches. It was a very hot August long weekend, but the ACs kept it very comfortable inside. Yes, it is situated above a bar, but we heard only faint music from time to time. The front entrance is next to the bar entrance, but there is also a very convenient back entrance, which is where we parked our cars anyway. Stephanie responds to questions in a very timely manner, even supplying a few ingredients we failed to bring for a pie. The place is in town surrounded by many restaurants if you choose not cook your own meals. The beach is a short walk away. Our only regret was that we didn't have the option for backyard campfires. Other than that, this place is tops. It was a relaxing, restful weekend in the cleanest rental ever. Thank you so much Stephanie!

Dad's 100th birthday at Meaford Hall

Perfect location for us. Could go out back door for breakfast and front door for hall. Only complaint is the showers - need to put in shower heads that you can take off since the shower is so small.

An Ideal Place to stay

The Dam Crofter is a beautiful home away from home in a beautiful town. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Meaford and loved coming back to our roomy lodgings. It is furnished and decorated beautifully, and has everything we needed.

Excellent stay in downtown Meaford

This was a fantastic find. The host Stephanie greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of the place. The place was very clean and incredibly spacious. The amenities were great! Bonus points for being above a fantastic gastropub as it took the guess work out of dinner decisions and the food was fantastic! Regrettably we only were in town for a night but now are looking at coming back to the area in the fall for a longer period. This is in a large part due to finding this property and it’s location. Highly recommend this rental.

I was surprised that the apartment was above a bar in downtown Meaford. This wasn't mentioned in the listing. However, it was a beautiful clean apartment, and the bar was closed on Mondays, so it was also quiet.
