About the home
âThompson's Retreatâ is a delightful double-storey townhouse in central Cowes just a short walk from the beach and only a stone's throw from all the supermarkets, restaurants & cafĂ©s of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs, the large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with tv, fire tv stick & bluetooth speaker) provides access out to the rear courtyard. The laundry (with washing machine & dryer) and a powder room are also on this level as well as the double garage. Upstairs are Bedrooms 1 and 2 (with built in robes), Bedroom 3, the bathroom (with bath & shower), a separate toilet and a covered balcony.
Outdoor Areas
The fully enclosed rear courtyard provides a quiet space to enjoy the outside and has table & chairs for 6 people and a gas bbq, plus there is an upstairs covered balcony (accessible from Bedrooms 2 & 3). The double garage provides parking space for 2 cars.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and gas cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are three wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners; one in the downstairs Living/Kitchen/Dining room and one each in Bedrooms 1 & 2. There is also one stand-alone heater and one stand-alone fan which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 5 beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Tri-bunk and one Single Trundle bed
Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.
The bunk in Bedroom 3 is recommended for children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
