Thank you, Miguel, for your feedback. We’re glad you found the cottage clean on arrival, communication responsive, and enjoyed the sauna, hot tub, deck, kitchen, and location. We’re especially happy the cottage helped make your birthday weekend memorable. We appreciate your comments regarding the mattresses, pullout sofa, and linens. Comfort is personal, but we take this feedback seriously and will review these items for future upgrades. Firewood is provided as a starter supply, so guests planning multiple or longer fires may need to purchase additional wood. We would also like to clarify the comments about garbage and additional charges. Our house rules and possible charges are provided in advance and are intended to protect the property, not penalize guests for minor issues. Your group was reminded several times to move the garbage to the designated roadside pickup area. After checkout, garbage was still left behind, so we contacted you and gave you the opportunity to return and remove it instead of immediately applying a charge. The cottage was also left requiring considerably more cleaning than a normal turnover. The kitchen was very dirty, furniture had been moved, floors were sticky, and the hot tub had to be completely drained, cleaned, and refilled. We appreciate your positive comments and constructive feedback and will continue improving the experience for future guests.
