From the owner: We were sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our home. We would like to clarify the following; - The check-in instructions are very specific so that our guests know what the gated community requires. We have no control over this, and it's for the safety of our community, which includes our guests. - We had the property treated a few weeks before your check-in, and it is scheduled regularly; however, we are near the coast, and there is a small pond directly adjacent to the house. It has also been an unusually wet summer, and we can't prevent 100% of the bugs. Apparently, there is a type of bug in the area this summer that is resistant to regular treatments. As soon as we found out about this, we scheduled an additional treatment to take care of the problem. - All guests receive standard text reminders during their stay, including trash reminders and how to operate the hot tub cover, as well as other pertinent information about the property. These are the only reminders you received. If the trash is missed, it becomes a problem for the next guest who has to deal with it. We have also had guests misuse the hot tub cover, and it is costly to replace. - We do not watch the guests, but do periodically check the security footage when we receive alerts, for safety reasons. Our security cameras are fully disclosed in our listing. We are sorry for the inconvenience you felt. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have exceptional stays!
