Dies ist unser Zuhause in Brasilien, wo wir den kalten und feuchten Wintern in den USA entfliehen. Wir haben diese Wohnung vor kurzem gekauft und sie komplett renoviert und mit allen neuen Möbeln und Geräten ausgestattet. Wir haben es im November 2016 zum ersten Mal besetzt. Wenn Sie also ein sehr komfortables Wohnumfeld suchen, das einem sehr hohen Standard an Wartung und Sauberkeit entspricht und sich im besten Teil von Boa Viagem Beach befindet, ist dies die richtige Wohnung für Sie. Die 120 Quadratmeter Wohnfläche sorgen für viel Komfort.

Das attraktivste Merkmal der Wohnung ist das Wohnzimmer Veranda. Wir haben die Veranda-Tür und einen Teil der Wand entfernt und die Veranda zum Wohnzimmer gemacht. Um das Licht und den Meerblick zu maximieren, haben wir Akkordeonfenster (janelas cortinas) installiert, die im eingefahrenen Zustand den Außenbereich hereinbringen. Dann haben wir den Verandaboden um 26 cm erhöht, sodass Sie durch das 3 m breite Fenster einen herrlichen Blick auf den Strand haben. Durch die großen Fenster können Sie die kühle, sanfte Brise der allgegenwärtigen Passatwinde genießen.

Das Apartment befindet sich im 10. Stock des Apartmentgebäudes und bietet vom Wohnzimmer und von zwei Schlafzimmern aus eine hervorragende Aussicht auf den Strand. Der Strand befindet sich buchstäblich direkt gegenüber dem Apartmentgebäude. Das Wasser ist das ganze Jahr über warm und bei Ebbe sorgen schützende Korallenriffe für sicheres Schwimmen an diesem Strandabschnitt. Entlang des Boa Viagem Beach gibt es 4,8 km breite Bürgersteige und Fahrradwege. Jogger und Walker sind zu jeder Tageszeit und am frühen Abend beim täglichen Training zu sehen. Entlang der Avenida gibt es mehrere Trainingsstationen, die kostenlos für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich sind. Es gibt auch Tennisplätze, Fußballplätze, Basketball- und Volleyballplätze und einen Skatepark. Entlang der Avenida gibt es Fahrradverleihstationen sowie mehrere sehr schöne Spielplätze für Kinder. All diese Dinge sind nur 10-20 Minuten zu Fuß von unserer Wohnung entfernt.

In Gehweite finden Sie viele Restaurants, Supermärkte, Bäckereien, Banken, Apotheken, Hotels und vieles mehr. Das Bairro (Viertel) von Boa Viagem ist der nobelste Teil von Recife, der für seine hochwertigen Restaurants, beliebten Nachtclubs und großen Einkaufszentren bekannt ist.

Boa Viagem ist eindeutig das begehrteste Viertel der Stadt. Unsere Wohnung befindet sich im besten Strandabschnitt zum sicheren Baden und in der Nähe von Restaurants usw.

Ein unvergesslicher Urlaub

In diesem Sommer verbrachten wir mit unseren zwei erwachsenen Kindern einen dreiwöchigen Urlaub in Recife und wohnten im Apartment von Bob und Dalva Crites. Schon im Vorfeld hatte der Vermieter uns sehr nett kontaktiert und uns wichtige Informationen mitgeteilt. Im Apartment haben wir uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Es ist geräumig, komfortabel eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Nach unseren Ausflügen hatten wir immer das Gefühl, "nach Hause" zu kommen. Die Aussicht auf das Meer ist wundervoll und man muss nur eine Straße überqueren, um an den schönen Strand zu gelangen. Die wichtigsten Läden und einige Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Emilia - die Managerin, Reginaldo - der von Bob Crites empfohlene Taxifahrer sowie alle Bediensteten im Haus waren sehr nett und haben uns in jeder Situation geholfen. Sollten wir noch einmal Recife besuchen, würden wir dieses Apartment gern wieder buchen.

AN UNFORGETTABLE HOLIDAY. This summer we spent a three-week holiday with our two adult children in Recife and stayed in the apartment of Bob and Dalva Crites. Already in advance, the landlord had contacted us very nice and informed us of important information. In the apartamento we immediately felt comfortable. It is spacious, comfortable and very clean. After our excursions, we always felt like "coming home". The view of the sea is wonderful and you just have to cross a street to get to the beautiful beach. The main shops and some restaurants are within walking distance. Emilia - the manager, and Reginaldo - the taxi driver recommended by Bob Crites, as well as all the staff in the house were very nice and helped us in every situation. If we visit Recife again, we would like to book this apartment again. ///// FÉRIAS INESQUECÍVEIS. Este verão passamos nossas férias de três semanas com nossos filhos adultos no Recife e ficamos no apartamento de Bob e Dalva Crites. Já antecipadamente, o proprietário tinha comunicado muito agradavelmente, nos informando de informações importantes. No apartamento imediatamente nos sentimos confortáveis. É espaçoso, confortável e muito limpo. Depois de nossos passeios, sempre sentimos como se “estivéssemos voltando para nossa casa”. A vista do mar é formidável e você só tem que atravessar a rua para chegar na praia bonita. Se pode caminhar para as lojas principais e alguns restaurantes. Emília - a síndica, e Reginaldo - o taxista recomendado por Bob Crites, tanto quanto todos os funcionários no edifício, forem muito simpáticos e nos ajudaram em toda situação. C’était notre deuxième séjour dans cet appartement et tout était encore une fois parfait. "Nous avons passé un séjour absolument parfait dans cet appartement. La localisation est idéale, à proximité de tout ce que nous voulions explorer. L'appartement est spacieux, bien agencé, et offre une vue magnifique sur la mer. Malgré la chaleur brésilienne, l'appartement est très bien ventilé, ce qui a rendu notre séjour très agréable. Les chambres sont grandes et confortables, avec de la climatisation dans chacune d'elles, ce qui nous a permis de bien nous reposer. Les lits sont vraiment confortables. La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec tous les ustensiles nécessaires, nous n'avons manqué de rien. Un grand merci pour cette expérience inoubliable, nous recommandons vivement cet endroit !

Spectacular views

Our family traveled a long way to visit Recife, and we were a little nervous about whether this home was “too good to be true”. Upon arrival, our concerns disappeared. It’s a wonderful, spacious home. I say home because it isn’t just a rental. We felt at home, comfortable and inspired by the daily views of the ocean and easy access to everything that we could have wanted to see or do. Plus the hosts were very responsive.

Beautiful Apartment

This apartment is beautiful. It is very open, clean, and has a fantastic view of the beach. You are on the beach, just steps away from the water. The kitchen is nice and has everything you need. The entire place is well kept, and is very clean, and comfortable. The views from the windows, of the other buildings and of the beach makes you want to gaze all day and night at the view. I found myself waking up in the middle of the night and eagerly getting up just to gaze at the view. You can clearly hear the waves crashing on the beach. From the blue green view of the ocean, and blue skies, to the glorious sunrise, or moon rise, you will find yourself falling in love with this place. It is centrally located, close to markets and shopping. In my opinion, this part of the beach is nicest on the main stretch of Boa Viagem. I enjoyed walking along the ocean in the early morning as the magnificent sun would rise. The building has security, and the staff is friendly. There are patio chairs and tables on the floor level in front if you wish to relax and enjoy the view of the beach and action on the walkway and street. We spent many days just walking out to the beach and lounging on the beach chairs, under the large umbrellas where you can order drinks or food to be brought to you. A beach bums paradise. From fresh cut delicious coconut water, to Caparinha or soda, you will find it hard to remove yourself from the beach. Not to mention the beautiful emerald green to blue ocean right in front of you. The views make you take many deep sighs of comfort. My fiancé and I admired how the people servicing you at the umbrella chairs , at your request, will bring you a kids pool and fill it up with ocean water so your child or children can have their own private pool to play in. The owners of the property are very, very kind. My fiancé and I had the most amazing time, we could not be happier with the comfort and experience we had at this beautiful apartment. Thank you Bob and Dalva for everything!

Bob grew up in a small town near Eugene, Oregon, USA. Dalva, his wife, was born and raised in Recife, Brazil, where she has a large extended family. Attracted to adventure and foreign lands, Bob first came to know Brazil as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Later, he served as an Associate Peace Corps Director in Guatemala. His love of people led him to a career in school counseling, during which time he founded a small nonprofit organization that provided academic scholarships to impoverished Brazilian and Tanzania children.

He has degrees from the University of Washington and the University of Oregon. For 16 years he was a member of the Metropolitan Rotary Club of Eugene, Oregon.
He published a memoir in 2021 - "No Ghosts in the Graveyard, The Lifetime Adventures of a Small-Town Oregon Boy", by Bob Crites. It is available on amazon.com in ebook and print versions.

Dalva is a living encyclopedia of Brazilian music and northeast Brazilian culture. She is renowned among family and friends for her delicious, traditional regional cuisine. As a quintessential northeasterner, she is passionate about her northeastern culture and its traditions. To know Dalva is to love her. She is an unofficial Brazilian ambassador par excellence. Interestingly, she is a citizen of Brazil, Italy (her grandfather immigrated to Brazil), and the United States. She thinks that three passports are enough. In retirement, Bob and Dalva split their time between living in Eugene, Oregon, and Recife, Brazil.

Location, Location, Location.

Avenida Boa Viagem is the most prestigious address in Recife. This is because the avenue runs the length of Boa Viagem Beach, which is the most beautiful beach in Recife; and the city government maintains the sidewalks and bike/jogging paths in excellent condition. The beach itself is kept very clean.

The apartment attracted us because of the size of its living space and the fact that the apartment throughout is well lit and well ventilated by the cooling ocean breezes. It is located on the 10th floor with a good view of the ocean.

An important feature to us was the close proximity to restaurants, bars, pharmacies, bakeries, supermarkets and other businesses and services, including a hospital.

I sold my Brazilian automobile because everything is so close. From the apartment, I can either walk to my destination, or take a short taxi ride to whereever I want to go.

"We spent nearly a month at the beachfront VRBO property owned by Bob and Dalva, and it continually surpassed our expectations. The owners seem to have thought of everything. For example, they have raised the main living space that looks out over the ocean higher to allow for spectacular views when seated. The kitchen connects to the main living space--another nice touch. The main room was well-ventilated without AC (even in the summer month we were there) and the bedroom AC worked wonderfully. All the appliances and internet worked extremely well.

We found the location to be ideal for our needs. The stretch of beach that is in front of the apartment building is really ideal for kids to swim and for adults to run, walk or socialize. The owners are responsive to all details. In short, we can't imagine a better place for a couple or family who want to spend time in Recife / Boa Viagem!"
