You’ll be pleased with your lucky beach find when you book this versatile, contemporary home in Pacific City! With three bedrooms, including a queen suite, 2.5 baths, a game room (with ping-pong and foosball tables!) and a loft for upstairs TV-watching, Sand Dollar Find has all you and your family need for an excellent stay at the beach. The open, vaulted ceiling in the sunken living room brings in lots of Pacific light. The dining room has a lovely Craftsman-style oak table, and the bright, fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to pull together a feast for your guests. A sliding door leads to a large wood deck and backyard with a hot tub. Access to the deck is also available through the spacious queen bedroom suite. Upstairs, two bedrooms and a bath with a walk-in shower have access to a loft with a futon sofa sleeper that overlooks the sunken living room, so guests have their own private space to lounge. Located in a quiet neighborhood among the dunes, Sand Dollar Find gives you easy walking access to miles of gently sloping, sandy Pacific City beach, where you’ll enjoy both views of Haystack Rock and entry to the expansive Bob Straub State Park, a spit that reaches the estuary of the Nestucca River. After a day exploring the dunes, it’s easy to walk to the Pelican Pub or Meridian Restaurant for pub fare or fine dining. You’re also well positioned for day trips to Tillamook and the North Coast or Lincoln City and Newport to the south. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was great and the beach was easily accessible. If available, we would stay again on our next visit to Pacific City. A couple of notes: There was not enough bath towels, face towels, face clothes, and kitchen towels; also, several of the jets in the jacuzzi did not work.

Great stay in Pacific City

Property was large and accommodating with nice amenities. Able to our group of five with ease. Hot tub was inviting. The foosball and pingpong helped keep us entertained during the bouts of rain. Not too far from Pelican Brewery. Renting process was easy.

Great place to stay

Home was a great place to stay. We had 7 adults in our group with plenty of room. Didn't use the hot tub we ran out of time. The kitchen was well stocked and we found plenty of games to keep us entertained. Our only issue was the parking. We had four cars which the unit only allowed 3 to be parked. We ended up having to park the fourth vehicle outside of the community.

We were notified less than 10 mins before our 4pm available time (we were going to be there right at 4) that the property would not be ready for a few more hours. Ultimately was available at 7pm. Support from both the property management company and VRBO were very underwhelming. House itself was nice and met our expectations.

Everything you need for a great vacation

All went well. There is a water leak—hopefully that got fixed. We couldn’t use one of the bathrooms.

Decent House Close to the Beach

We had a good time here. The beds throughout the house were very comfortable. Plenty of gathering room. Close proximity to the beach. Loved that it's dog friendly. Biggest disappointment was that the hottub was kinda nasty. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite awhile, and since we were charged a hottub fee, I feel like it should have been in perfectly clean and sanitary.

Nice place with a GREAT floor plan!

We really enjoyed our stay at the house! It was more than accommodating for our needs! While there were only (6) of us total, it could easily accommodate(8)comfortably with the loft den futon serving as the fourth bedroom. Our two boys loved the loft, game room and hot tub especially! Easy to get to with lockbox access in a gated community. Only a short walk to the beach was nice as well! We would not hesitate to bring the family back here again! Hostess was very prompt on responding to any messages we sent their way! Thanks again for the wonderful stay!

Great home for making summer memories!

My family had a great time enjoying the Fourth of July. The house was filled filled with everything we needed to make our stay fun. Only issue was the hot tub wasn’t as cleaned as we hoped, there was a film around the sides. My daughter didn’t mention it to me or I would have called the office.

Family trip before returning to college

The location and neighborhood were great. The house worked fine but was pretty tired. Kitchen was well equipped except silverware . Some utensils were dirty. Had to run dishwasher 2x to get dished clean. Beds were not comfortable, some linens smelled bad. Multiple visible old cobwebs.

Not a great experience

The location is great but the house and management of it needs a lot of work. Sliding glass door was broken and partially open (safety hazard), upstairs bed smelled of urine and management ignored our repeated requests to bring new sheets, dirty utensils, failing caulk andgrout. Too many maintenance issues to list.

Disappointed

The interior walls of the house are filthy and stained. Linens are torn, towels were old and had a dingy odor. Cob webs throughout the house. Queen Mattresses were very uncomfortable. It was definitely over priced for the quality and lack of cleanliness. I was disappointed.

Fun and relaxing

Loved the high vaulted ceiling. The beds were clean and comfortable. Loved the log beds. The half bath needs some work. Toilet seat needs to be replaced or tightened. Paint is unfinished. Looks like it’s time for paint in many places like on the wall where the stairs are by the kitchen. Need coat hooks for when you come into the house. Would have been nice to have been able to use the fire place. The hot tub was fabulous and much appreciated. One of the reasons we booked that house in particular was because of the hot tub. Checking in and out tab was confusing so we didn’t check in or out. Just sent a text saying we are checking out. Thank you for letting us use the place.

In general, good.

We booked over Thanksgiving holiday and the hot tub was a selling point at the time. Two days before the trip I received an email stating the hot tub is not in service and that they will work on it ASAP. I never received an update after that email, I also did not request an update. I don’t know if the hot tub was or ever was functioning. Additionally, Meredith Lodging used language that threatened a neighbor would report us if we were too loud with the hot tub speakers, and fine us up to $150. It put out a bad vibe and is consistent with their use of language based on my experience from a separate stay in Lincoln City.

Great Location

We stayed here with my mom and adult siblings. Super great to be able to bring our dogs and be close to the beach. Really fun location and stay -- good set up for families. The only minuses for us were mostly cleanliness (the hot tub had little kid stick on nails at the bottom!) and the outdoor furniture was covered in moss and dirt. For some reason the finish on the kitchen table made everything stick to it... The beds/rooms were nice and clean and we all slept very comfortably. Also there was like one ping pong ball and a bunch of broken paddles which was kinda annoying since we were looking forward to family battles. We were notified after booking that the fireplace in the living room wouldn't be operational. This was fine but one of the reasons my mom liked this place was the fireplace in the listing. Overall it was a good spot but for the price I think it needs some modernizing and better cleaning.
