Welcome to a charming Cottage just steps from the sea.

Explore 100ft of gorgeous beachfront after taking a single step off the deck. Immediately, you stand on the beach--the waves just a pace away from your feet.

Enjoy panoramic oceans views to fill and replenish all of your senses from almost all the rooms the Cottage offers. Walk up the Cottage's few short steps and into the open-concept, airy design. The living room/kitchen/dining room is designed for ease and comfort. The couch in this space pulls out into a double bed for your convenience.

Through the glass-pane doors find the first bedroom, with king-sized bed and gorgeous ocean views. Beside this room is the common bathroom with shower. Through the French doors, exit the Cottage and enjoy the best of outdoor living on your private deck. Just steps beyond the edge of the deck, watch the waves crash against the beach. When the chill sets in at night, light the fire table and enjoy.

On the other end of the Cottage is the primary bedroom suite. With a king-size bed, a couch that folds into another double bed, and its own private ensuite bathroom with soaker tub, this bedroom is both indulgent and adaptable for larger groups.

This Cottage is located just an hour from Victoria and in the heart of the town of Sooke. For vacation, work-from-home, or filling a gap between moving-out and moving-in, this home has everything you're looking for.

We really enjoyed watching the wildlife - swans, herons, seagulls, and geese - and the view was stunning. Cabin was very clean and well stocked.

Nice quiet location

5 min drive from Sooke , eat at “route 14” very good restaurant. Fun crabbing along shore ( with licence of course) great view Only knock, sleeps 6, loads of utensils but barley enough glasses and plates.

Wonderful waterfront escape

This property was exactly as pictured. After a long cross country drive this was a welcome haven for us to rest, enjoy the ocean and nature and have some creature comforts. The space was clean and we really appreciated the little things like laundry detergent and soap etc being available already along with a selection of coffee and teas. Sooke was a beautiful area to explore and this was a perfect quiet place to enjoy.

Amazing location!

Location was just fantastic, we spent a lot of time sitting outside and watching all the wildlife - hot tub was an added bonus. Property exactly as listed but cleaning could definitely be improved especially as the fee is so high. Kitchen supplies also still a bit lacking (not enough bowls, no trays for oven etc).

Great beachfront cottage

We really enjoyed our few days relaxing in the cottage. It had superb views and was very clean and comfortable inside. The hot tub was a bonus and the property managers were really helpful and responsive. I let them know that there wasn’t a hairdryer and one was delivered straight away. The road to the property was a bit rundown but once we got there it was great. The local supermarket Village foods was really good and we ate at Route 14. We would stay again if we had chance in future.

Beautiful location

This home is a very cute little cottage located right on the beach. Beautiful location, great set up with two bedrooms on opposite sides of the home. Beds were very comfortable. There wasn’t enough dishes for the 6 of us and there were no wine glasses. So if you want to enjoy that view with a nice glass of wine, bring your own. Also no body soap, shampoo or hair dryer provided and we also ran out of hand soap. So make sure you come prepared. Outdoor seat cushions were not all there and were very dirty and full of cobwebs and the deck was quite dirty. But when at the beach …. That’s to be expected. Some dusting off of the cushions and we made do. Overall the location is what it was all about and it definitely met expectations.

Short story buyers beware

On the good news front the view and location is fabulous. That is where it ends. Although the cozy cabin pictures do reflect how the property is laid out … they don’t show how small and dysfunctional the space is. The bedroom shower is in a tiny bathtub ( under 40 inches) with curtains that leak water. The Microwave is so high you need to be over 5’4” tall to reach it or risk getting scalded pulling anything hot out. The oversized glass table has four chairs but you can not sit 4 people at it because it needs to be against the wall to fit the room. Also, the condition of the fixtures and appliances were not up to normal VRBO standards. The BBQ didn’t work and needs to be serviced or replaced, the fire bowl was out of propane, the bathroom fixtures were falling off of the wall, and the tap in the sink was loose and leaked, the bedroom door won’t close properly, there is no central heating , only two wall mounted portable heaters only one of which had controls. The patio cushions were filthy. To top it off the patio table looked as if had never been cleaned and was black with mildew and dirt. The hostess Colleen did her best to compensate but the property manager, Stacey , (Stacey’s short stays) was very confrontational when we tried to point out issues. She, said her cleaners inspected every property on departure. Because we were from the prairies we did not understand the challenges. Do not use stacey or staceys short stays ever

We check in every guests to make sure our properties are in good standing each and every time. We checked these guest in early at 11am not the usual 4pm to accommodate their travel time and them wanting to go food shopping the hostess brought the propane tanks shortly after they were never out of propane. Our pictures are not altered and reflect exactly how the Beachfront Cottage looks these are the first guest that have ever complaint about the lay-out of the Cottage. We strive to have happy guests and my hostess was called back several times to try and help the guest settle in and watched them pull and slam on our fixtures. We responded to every complaint and I asked them what compensation I could offer to make them happy and we agree on a amount that I forwarded them right away. I should of charged them for the damage they did and not compensated them at all.
