Overall, the property was just ok. The property was definitely spacious enough for 8 adults to stay. There was actually a coffee pot/pod maker so we didnt need to bring our coffee maker after all. There was a broom but no where was a dustpan. The floors seemed dirty and there were dusty baseboards and air vents. The beds and pillows were not great but they did the job. The fire pit was nice. I've stayed in way better vrbos for less money. We paid a lot per night and I wouldn't do it again. The pictures look exactly like the house but you dont get the dated vibe until you enter the home. There are almost no additional amenities other than some kitchen supplies like bags and foil and they did leave us a bag of ice. There is no hair dryer but there is an iron and an ironing board. We feel like the ice maker may be leaking a little water. The oven, stove top, dishwasher, washer, dryer, showers all worked as expected. The king bed is not in a room with a bathroom and that could very easily be addressed by moving the beds and should be. There are no additional tvs in the home except for the living room. Couches were not comfy but there were two recliner chairs which helped. I would not call this a luxury rental with the exception of the price. I do understand the location and spaciousness being additional cost. The cleaning fee was considerable. Buyer beware.

Will stay again

We had a lovely stay with my husband, kids and grandparents. The home was lovely, updated (except some bathrooms), well appointed and comfortable. We would stay again in the future. Close to oval beach and short drive to town. Loved the screened in porch and fire pit.

Perfect for a family gathering

The house was very comfortable for our family of 4 adult couples and 4 children. We especially enjoyed the screened porch as a quiet get away and second dining area. Trips to the beach, dune buggy rides and boat rentals and the town of Saugatuck were minutes away. Lots to keep our gang busy. Management was very responsive and resolve a couple of issues quickly.

Roomy & great location

Plenty of room to spread out. Enjoyed the firepit & screen porch (after some cleaning). Lots of room for 2 families to spread out. Easy walk to chain ferry & Mt Baldi. Oval beach & Douglas beach are very close, but Laketown Beach (8 miles north) had a nice dune, great sand (no rocks) & Clear water!

Great Lake house

A group of 12 friends came to stay and just enjoy Saugatuck! We loved the house which had plenty of room and seating, great fire pit outside, and comfortable temperature throughout the stay. It was quiet and peaceful! Loved the screened in wrap around porch. We enjoyed taking a boat ride and going to the beach while we stayed. Thank you!

The property is great for a group. Big rooms and communal space, and the outdoor area is very nice and well kept. My only major complaint is that the floors are very dirty. We all had to keep our shoes on inside because if you didn't your feet/socks would be black. The floors desperately need a deep clean.

House was an excellent spot for a girls trip! It was very cute and perfect for what we needed. I would definitely recommend and stay again. The hosts were great, check in was smooth, the house had mostly everything we need.The only comment I have reflected via four stars instead of five stars under "property accurate as described" is that there is absolutely no way 6 cars can park at the house (garage driveway) as advertised. A maximum of 4 cars is more accurate. We had 2 cars in the garage (crossover and sedan) and 2 in the driveway (crossover and SUV). Even if there were 2 crossovers in the driveway instead of the SUV you could maybe (a strong maybe) only fit 1 more car horizontally across the end of the drive blocking the others in. Luckily, we had a friend with a residence near by and ended up parking some cars there as some girls needed to drive themselves for logistic purposes (arriving late and leaving early over the weekend). There was general AC for the downstairs and individual AC units in the bedrooms upstairs. The AC units upstairs function more like fans, I'm not sure how cooling they would be on a super hot summer day. They worked okay for us!We had a fabulous time! Saugatuck is a great place to visit!

Lovely space for a family vacation

We appreciated the spaciousness of the house for our 12-person family vacation. With the separate den, large living room, screened porch, and circle of lawn chairs around the firepit, we had plenty of spaces for quiet time and conversation. Property management was wonderfully responsive to an air-conditioning problem and got it fixed immediately. The location between the downtown of Saugatuck and the beaches of Lake Michigan was lovely.

Beautiful Saugatuck home in a fabulous location

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful home in Douglas/Saugatuck. The home was very roomy, and we enjoyed being able to eat meals at the large table in the dining area and also at the table in the screened in porch. Our grown kids loved being able to play video games in the spacious great room with its comfortable couch. The bedrooms were very nice with comfortable beds. The fire pit was a bonus and we had a nice evening outside roasting marshmallows. The house is in such a great location- easy walks to Douglas and Saugatuck. We all had a great time and really loved this beautiful home!

Spacious

Overall a clean spacious place. Some of the pots were a little dirty, downstairs bedroom is small. The website says close to beach, but doesn’t have direct access. Someone in the neighborhood was very rude & mean to my grandkids who were playing in front of the house, which ruined our family getaway.

We are deeply sorry to hear that someone from the neighborhood caused a disruption during your stay. We traveled as a group of 5 old friends to Saugatuck and I was in charge of finding us a place. Well, I got 5 stars too! This place was awesome! The location was perfect, close to both Douglas and Saugatuck. We visited in late September, so off season really. We were minutes away by car to both the small Douglas Beach and Oval Beach, and The Mount Bald head Steps. Easy drive into Saugatuck to shop and dine. Saugatuck Dunes State Park was just 15 minutes away. We loved using the fire pit and there were 3 bundles of wood there for us to use. The neighborhood was lovely too. The “check in letter”was very clear about what we needed to bring so we came ready. But there was extra TP, paper towels, glad wrap, zip lock bags, foil etc. laundry detergent and pods for the dishwasher. Tons of towels (nice towels too). Beach chairs in the garage. Loved having a garage with a remote. The house was very roomy with one bedroom on the first floor with a bathroom, and 4 bedrooms upstairs with 2 more bathrooms. There is a huge dining table that was comfortable and perfect for our meals together. It was comfortable and had good natural light. One of the best places I’ve stayed.

Overall, we had a great stay! The location was fantastic and incredibly convenient to both Oval Beach and Douglas Beach, which made it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer.There were just a few things that were a little disappointing. Based on the photos, we had assumed that the beach area shown beside the property was accessible through the side yard, but we learned that it was actually private property. It would be helpful if that was clarified in the listing so guests know what to expect.We also spent quite a bit of time at the beaches and, as you can imagine, brought plenty of sand back with us. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a broom or vacuum to clean the floors during our stay. Additionally, we went deep-sea fishing and came back with quite a bit of fish, but we had some trouble with the freezer not shutting properly and almost lost our catch.Those minor issues aside, we really enjoyed our stay and the location was excellent. With a few small improvements and some clarification in the listing, this would be an even better experience for future guests!

Comfortable bedding, nice property until the AC stopped functioning and the fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night with no fire. A very expensive price we paid for not being able to get any sleep.

We recognize how inconvenient the smake alarm beeping in the middle of the night was. It is difficult to predict when this may happen even though the batteries had been recently changed. We have resolved the a/c and smoke alarm issues. Once again our apologies for these circumstances...

We loved our stay at Park Point. The home was spacious enough to accommodate our family of 10 comfortably and we especially enjoyed the large screened porch with eating area and the beautiful side yard. We were there during the heat wave, so the upstairs bedrooms needed fans in addition to the mini-split air units. I don't know if it's possible to request those be turned on in advance of arrival, but wouldn't hurt if temps are high.Saugatuck and Oval Beach did not disappoint! We hope to visit again.
