The Space:
Located directly on famous Skaket Beach this cozy condo sleeps 7 and is the perfect choice for a true beachside getaway. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck directly overlooking beautiful Cape Cod Bay. Step right out onto the beach to soak in some sunshine and go for a refreshing swim, stroll over to Ardath’s Snack Shack for lunch, and return to the home’s deck to sip a cocktail as you watch the ruby and peach colored sun set into the waves.

Walking into “On The Beach” you will find a comfortable living room on the left and a dining area on the right. Both are framed with large picture windows featuring the amazing ocean view you would expect from a home directly on the beach. Down the hall is the bathroom and three bedrooms–one with a queen size bed, one with a twin bunk bed and one with a twin/full bunk bed.



Downtown Orleans is a very short drive away and is full of many options for great boutique shopping, delicious restaurants, bars, bowling, and farmer’s market! Other amenities include WiFi, cable TV, gas grill, outdoor shower, window A/C units, washer/dryer. Fresh sheets and bath towels are provided free of charge.



The convenience of being located directly on the beach, and the memories of the ocean views from our home’s large picture windows will have you wanting to return year after year!

If location to the beach is the most important requirement of your stay, this is perfect! Out your door and down your path - the tide changes make this a massive playground and uncrowded. Unit tends toward small, and could use some updating; but fine for 4 adults on girls weekend with lots of little perks and good use of space! Minutes from shopping for staples, or short drives to many wonderful adventures. Would stay again . Sunsets were amazing.PS and a good place to spot mermaids

Perfect spot for families

Stay was great, only issue was the unit listing in the check-in emails was incorrect! 2 spots available for parking which would be nice to add to listing. Overall great spot, had pretty much everything we needed!

Condo on the beach

We have been coming to Skaket Beach to stay in this condo for years.We love the experience of literally living at the beach. The space can be a little tight but you can’t beat having great sunsets every night right outside your door. The beach is on the bay side so is great for kids when tide is out. All in all it is our family’s favorite place

Amazing location

Our family of 4 had the best time in this unit. Clean, spacious and right on the beach for sunsets every night and playing in the water all day. We had the best time! Only thing to note was that the listing was not super clear that this is one of four units and is not a standalone house.

Great location.

Nicely decorated. Great to be on the water. Cleanliness is top notch. Exterior appears to be more updated than the interior. Kitchen was easy to cook in. Plenty of pans, utensils, dishes. It would have been great to have some seasonings in the cupboards. Overall, a great rental.

Location!

This is the perfect place to stay to enjoy the beach and the sunsets! 6 of us stayed for a week and the house was the best location in cape cod. We were able to walk off the deck straight onto the private beach. The bay side is perfect for anyone who wants to poke around in tide pools and wade in ankle deep water while the tide is low or swim steps from the door during high tide. The house had everything we needed. It was easy to get to Provincetown for whale watching and to rock harbor for deep sea fishing.

Beach was great, property not so much

When we first arrived the fire department was there checking for a gas leak. Fortunately there wasn’t one, but they found that there weren’t any Co2 detectors in the unit even though there was a gas appliance. He fire department supplied us with working detectors. Several hours before check-in I received a call letting us know that the stove/oven wasn’t functioning but they we’re going to have someone looking at it. It was not fixed the whole week we were there and had to eat out for every meal. An expense we didn’t expect. Del Mar said they were going to reimburse us $100 a day but we haven’t seen any money. The cleanliness of the unit was also lacking. The dust build up on the ceiling fan and dead bugs under things and on the walls was gross. The place also smelled damp and mildewy. The sleeping conditions were also less than desirable. Each bedroom had a window air conditioner at the head of the bed which rattled and blew cold air in your head. I woke up with a headache every morning. All of the mattresses were also at least 20 years old, you could feel the springs. The only saving grace was that the beach was great, but we will not be back to this property of any Del Mar’s.

Hi Sharon, Thank you for staying with us this past August! I am sorry to hear your stay did not go as seamlessly planned and I can appreciate your disappointment, especially since you took the extra steps to ensure your vacation home fit your needs! That being said, the safety of our guests is most important to us!! Any suspicion of a gas leak is taken very seriously! The fire department was dispatched to the home when our cleaning team reported a possible gas smell. I understand your concern when you are greeted by the fire department upon arrival. I am glad the fire department was able to determine there was no gas leak and that the home was safe to enter. In regards to the Co2 detector, the home had been equipped with one during the home opening and must have been removed and/or disabled without our knowledge. I offer my sincerest apologies we did not catch this during turnover service. Since your departure, we have replaced the loaner Co2 detector from the fire department with a permanent combo Smoke & CO Alarm unit. Regrettably, we were unable to resolve the stove issues during your stay however a hot plate was delivered to the home, and compensation for the inconvenience was allocated as promised. I am happy to report, the stove issues have been addressed. Our cleaning team works diligently to ensure all of our homes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Although our team responded quickly to your concerns, I apologize the ceiling fan was missed prior to check-in. The window air conditioning units are accurately described in the listing and your feedback on the beds has been passed along for review. The home is directly on the beach, hence the name, and may pertain to the dampness you experienced. One of the major draws of this home is its location as it offers some of the best breathtaking views of Cape Cod Bay!!
