Great Steamboat Mountain Rental

Rental unit lived up to description. Condo was clean and well appointed. Good location relative to mountain. Easy bus ride/walk to base. Great place for family.

Great Condo!

We had a very pleasant, Christmas week, stay here! The location is amazing! So close to the ski resort and close to town! Parking was so easy, we parked right in front of the condo every time. The keyless entry was convenient. The condo was very warm even though we were at garden level. The washer & dryer was a plus! The hot tub was nice. The condo was stocked with everything we needed. The master bathroom is a little small, but worked just fine with two adults and two children. The beds were clean and comfy. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Great place, angry neighbors

As advertised and nice hot tub. Was approached by an angry owner from another unit who threatened to have my truck towed because I have a camper on the back of it. This required multiple communications with mgmt company who were quite helpful. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The host and location of this area was ideal for getting on the bus to go to the mountain. And for the price, this place made sense. However, there were a few things I'd point out - just so you're not surprised! This is a first floor unit, and is half underground, so there's not much day light. On top of that, every other light bulb was burnt out, so it felt dark and depressing in the unit. If you are planning on cooking, the kitchen is relatively well stocked with utensils/pots and pans/etc., but be warned, there was no pepper, aluminum foil, oil of any kind, etc... so just know that if you are there to cook, to add in those other expenses. My last comment is that yes, you are on the first floor, and there's neighbors above, but there is no acoustic separation of units. We could hear every single foot step, toilet flush, shower running - to the point we wondered if they were wearing ski boots up there. It is LOUD. When they got up at 7:30 am, we didn't have a choice but to get up ourselves. All things that are livable, but we were a little surprised by. I'd also add that there is no longer a desk (that is shown in the photos).

We really appreciate the honest rundown! We are on it with the light bulbs and will be updating our photos to ensure the desk and lighting are accurately represented. While the "mountain acoustics" and lower-level layout are part of the building's original design, we're glad the price and location still made sense for your trip. For future reference, we do provide the primary cooking tools, but we leave the specialty pantry items like oils, foils, and spices to our guests. Safe travels!

Below average and disappointing

Let's start with the unforgiveable problem of running out of toilet paper. One extra roll for a week? The unit was superficially clean but there is mold in both bathroom ceilings. The master shower is virtually unusable. It was very small and the the soaps were on the floor and unreacheable due to the size of the stall. How about installing a shower caddy to hold soap and shampoo? Neither bathroom had a simple hook for a towel. There is virtually no kitchen cabinet space to put away food. The silverware provided was not clean. We had to ask for a sponge and dishwasher soap because they were not provided. The positives: The location was convenient and the unit layout was fine. Access to the mountain is easy with the shuttle bus that picks-up right at the property. Overall, this unit was well below average compared to other VRBO units we've rented.

Hi Gayle- We wish you had a better stay with us, we always want you to have a great time and enjoy your rental. This unit was recently renovated and those bathrooms are essentially brand new so I’m not sure why the shower gave you any issues. We really wish you had reported these while staying with us, we brought you extra sponges promptly and gladly would of brought any other supplies or looked at anything that needed attention. You had told us you were having a good stay or we would of looked into these items for you. This unit is very clean and many recent updates

What you see is not what you get.

Negatives: 1. The 3 Bedrooms apartment turned out to be a 2 bedroom apartment. 2. The apartment is not clean, the carpets are dirty and messy. 3. The furniture is in a poor condition - the bed in second bedroom has one broken leg. We propped it up with the first aid kit. 4. The Dining table has a broken leg and can not be moved. Definitely not a place for 7 people to have a meal. 5. The sleeper couch is extremely uncomfortable and my son had to sleep across the bed. It will be a very uncomfortable sleep for 2 people. 6. The kitchen is a mess. - 3 wine glasses for 7 people. - There are enough dinner plates but the breakfast bowls are plastic!!! and not even of a good quality. - 1 Teaspoon! Really - Many lids for pots and pans but only a few pots worthwhile to use. - The cutlery, nothing matches and there are not enough. 6. Christmas decorations in March? 7. No contact details to report or ask for assistance with the broken furniture. Positives: 1. The linen and towels were crisp and white. 2. Good location Summary: We were dissatisfied and disappointed. This is a place for people who only need a place to crash and does not mind their surroundings, does not cook and only dine out. The great location to the slopes got the 2 stars, the rest was sub standard. We feel robbed.

The kitchen was well stocked, washer and dryer in unit, we couldn’t find sheets for the couch bed, large table with bench seats.

Great Stay!

Wonderful location, great experience. Place was really clean & had everything we could have needed. Communication was great & they replied very quickly with the few questions we had. Definitely recommend! Would love to stay again!

Nice amenities!

The hot tub is a small walk away and the busses go one direction so it is sometimes a long return. The condo is small, but had everything we needed!
