Newer Executive 1 bedroom lower apartment in Elora. A quick walk to downtown, The Elora Mill, Dining, Shopping, The Elora Centre for the Arts and Bissel Park. A self sufficient unit just bring your personal items. Full size appliances if you would like to do some cooking, and even a Washer and Dryer should you need to do some laundry. A basement apartment with private coded entrance, shallow stairs, and huge windows - this doesn't feel like a basement. Almost all carpet free - just the bedroom and walk-in closet to be comfy for sleeping. Check-in 3pm, Check-out 11am

Consistent quality

This was a repeat stay and the quality of the property has been very consistent. We keep returning to enjoy the spacious, comfortable, and very well-equipped apartment that is head and shoulders better than a hotel.

Lovely Place

A lovely property, well supplied with everything you could need from toothbrushes (in case you've forgotten yours) to a fully equipped kitchen (it even has a crock pot!). The property was clean and very quiet, just a short walk to the main strip and the river. Highly recommend!

Comfort in Elora

This was our third stay at this very comfortable and quiet suite. It is well-located in a residential area close to downtown Elora. The suite is spacious, the kitchen is well-equipped with great appliances, and everything in the suite is top quality, from the furniture to the linens. We will definitely be back again.

Fully equipment apartment in Elora

This was our second stay in the suite. The kitchen is fully equipped cooking with excellent equipment and new appliances. The suite is quiet, close to downtown Elora, and well-furnished. The TV includes streaming services.

Truth in advertising - easily met expectations

This was my first VRBO experience and I was a bit nervous. There was no need. The property was exactly what I expected - which was a lovely, clean, well appointed spaced within easy walking distance of Elora's shopping and dining area. And it was so easy and simple! Kudos to our hostess!!

Exceptional apartment in Elora

The apartment exceeded my expectations. It is wonderfully equipped with a full kitchen and full bathroom, walk-in closet and a living room. All are very comfortable in immaculate. The apartment is slightly below grade requiring walking down a set of stairs to access it, but it is filled with light. It is within walking distance of downtown Elora in a new residential neighbourhood.

My sister and I were very disappointed. Angela did not introduce herself and was very unwelcoming. Nor did she show us the space. We were not offered breakfast although the ad says it is available. The refrigerator was empty and so there was no cream or milk available for coffee. The TV did not work. Although the ad says that the space accommodates four people, we had to use a blow up mattress which we had to find in a closet and then figure out how it worked. We were grateful that the home was next to a park so we could sit on a bench to be outdoors. I have a dear friend who is planning to travel to Elora with her sister in the next few months. I will not be making a recommendation.

Terrible Experience with the Property Owner but liked the room

The room itself was great but dealing with the property manager was a nightmare. She was cold through texts, did not answer messages and phone calls half the time (I stayed for three weeks so I needed to touch base on a occasion), and after my stay, she accused me of ruining her entire countertop when there was one tiny mark. There was indeed a mark on the counter because I couldn't find the hot pads when cooking. I used coasters instead in an effort to treat the place as best as possible rather than putting the pot directly on the counter. Importantly, the countertop is marbled so I didn’t even see the tiny brown spot amongst the pattern – also tells you how small the spot was. I know because after I left, she texted me a photo. Without much further communication, she sent me a 4000 charge. I went through VRBO customer service and they waved the charge because the claim was unfounded and ridiculous. I have rented out many places before for travels and have never had any issues. My family runs an VRBO so I know what is expected of guests. I treat places with respect and do my best to leave the place better than I found it. I did leave a small mark on Angela’s countertop which I didn't even realize was there before I left, but her claiming she has to redo her entire countertop, trying to justify a 4000 charge is manipulative and wrong. This was a terrible experience dealing with Angela and I would not rent from her again.

Jordan, I was so upset after your stay and the damaged I have only just read your review. I must say I was more than responsive to any inquiries you made and have proof on my phone. The damage to the counter is not just 1 mark, it is a ring of damage. Yes hard to see in an image as the brown blends in but you can feel the bubbling all the way around. I have had the kitchen company that installed the kitchen in to evaluate and the only solution is to replace that entire section of counter. The cost to do so is 1264 hst. I have not done it yet as I would also have to pay to have the sink un installed and reinstalled with the new counter. If you pay for the counter itself I will cover the rest of the costs. Angela

The Perfect 5-Star Getaway For An Individual or Couple

Coming from the US and having rented short-term places to stay in the past, I was a little nervous about booking this location so far in advance of my trip. However, I am so glad I did. The photographs are good but don't do the place justice. The basement apartment is immaculate and quiet and welcoming. After a long day on the road getting to Elora, it was the perfect refuge for me. I truly fell in love with the place. Plus, Angela is a terrific host, responsive as I was booking the place, a few weeks before my trip and even during my stay. She and her family live upstairs and other than a few footsteps, I barely heard them. As my flight was delayed and my day was long, I had to find a place to eat and Angela had maps and suggestions on the countertop when I entered the apartment. Plus, she very thoughtfully had a decanter full of cream in the refrigerator, for my morning coffee. Super helpful! While I was in town for a workshop, I was able to unwind a bit catching up with either Netflix or Amazon Prime movies. The living room area, kitchen, and bathroom were all tastefully decorated and I truly felt more at home here. When I did finally meet Angela, only because I felt that I had to thank her for making it so comfortable, she and I had a nice chat about the community, the restaurants, and her kids. Angela is extremely kind and generous and I'll always remember that about her. I do hope to attend more workshops in the future and yes, I will be staying here again.
