Komm und genieße unser kleines Gehöft – wir bauen den Großteil unserer Lebensmittel selbst an und verarbeiten sie für den Winter. Gäste dürfen gerne aus den Gärten pflücken, um sich ihre Mahlzeiten zuzubereiten (die Gärten werden biologisch bewirtschaftet). Entspanne dich direkt am Meer und verbringe deinen nächsten unvergesslichen Urlaub auf unserem 9,5 Acres großen Grundstück. Setzt euch an den Süßwasserwasserfall, spaziert am Meeresufer entlang, sammelt Muscheln und beobachtet die Meeresfauna. Entspannt euch in den Hängematten, während euch die Ruhe des Baches verzaubert. Schlaft im klimatisierten Carriage House mit seiner warmen und einladenden Atmosphäre. Erkundet die nahegelegenen Wanderwege oder fahrt mit dem Kajak direkt vom Grundstück aus los. The rental unit is on the second floor, and has a private entrance accessed by stairs on the outside of the building. The rental is located within easy driving distance of St Andrew’s by the Sea and Minister’s Island. There is a nice access to the shore on site, and a vegetable garden available. The caretaker was on site and was willing to share info about the area. No problems with the rooms-very spacious and well furnished. Lots of high quality pots and pans and cooking utensils. Thanks!

Karen and Keith are excellent hosts! It was very easy to communicate before our trip to help us be prepared. The suite is brand-new and decorated perfectly. Comfy bed! Extra touches like supplying coffee beans and a grinder was just great. The 2nd floor suite has two porches that overlook gardens that we could pick from! A short walk brought us to the ocean with two awaiting kayaks. Even got to see one of the two resident Eagles. Jolly whale watch was great. Discount tickets at the visitor center. Enjoy!

We arrived at this beautiful oasis using simple directions from the host. They greeted us, showed us around the farm, and treated us with kindness the entire stay. The apartment was spotless, well appointed, and beautiful. We were in New Brunswick on a genealogy quest and the internet was strong. We are game players and there was a stunning carved wooden Cribbage board and Domino case. It was obvious they had taken great care decorating. After settling in we, including our dog, walked down to two chairs overlooking the bay whose tides rose and fell over 20 feet. I wish we could have stayed longer....

Overall, our stay was about what we expected based on the listing. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained. The cabin was clean, the appliances were newer, and the bed was very comfortable. The owner was friendly and easy to communicate with. We did not have pets but it is a pet friendly environment with lots of room to enjoy the beautiful gardens and yard. We did not make it down to the river but it was very inviting and if we had more time would have been nice to check out. The only unexpected issues were that the cabin had a noticeable smoke odor, and the owners were living on the property in what appeared to be a makeshift plywood tent. While neither of these prevented us from enjoying our stay, they were surprising and worth mentioning for future guests.Overall, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the beautiful setting and the owner’s hospitality.

The property is above the owner's residence. It was an absolutely beautiful place with everything done in beautiful detail. The sad and extremely annoying thing was the absolute strong odor of cigarette smoke as soon as you opened the door. Unfortunately, the entire place is saturated in cigarette smoke. We tried airing the place out, for hours, but that didn't work. We were looking forward to having a beautiful place to relax and enjoy being around for a couple of days. The cigarette smoke ruined that for us. Apparently, the "smoking is allowed in designated areas" meant the house as well. It should be posted that the house has been smoked in. We would not have stayed there if we had known that. We've never stayed in a VRBO that has been smoked in. Unfortunately, it ruined our stay for us and we didn't enjoy everything smelling heavily like smoke, even our clothes. There was a video camera outside the deck of the bedroom, as well as at the bottom of the stairs which gave us an uneasy feeling. It's a beautiful place but the cigarette smoke is more than strong.

It was immaculate, fully equipped, beautiful & relaxing with a private quiet spot on the water. The owners are wonderful, caring, generous and available. An extra bonus was Ziggy, a playmate for our boxer. We loved the St Andrews area with lots of history, hiking and seafood restaurants.

Absolutely lovely homestead! The owners were super kind and were available any time we needed them. The apartment was well appointed with everything. Our old dog was really happy and enjoyed his new friend, Ziggy. Nice walk to the water to sit and relax. Very special place and people. We'll definitely be back.

Karen and Keith, who live below the apartment, were very hospitable offering fresh muffins and berries! The unit has everything you need for a comfortable stay but it did have a smell of cigarette smoke. It is a beautiful property and we enjoyed exploring the ocean, creek and waterfall. Lovely, comfortable place to stay

The Carriage House is just as it looks in the pictures, modern, clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hosts, Karen and Keith, did everything to make our stay enjoyable and even provided some delicious homemade treats.The Carriage House was a perfect spot to come home to after a day of touring around the St. Andrews area. Things that made it extra special included picking and eating vegetables from the large garden, relaxing on the upper deck, and kayaking. We definitely want to come back and will recommend it to family and friends!

Karen & Keith are the most gracious hosts! The apartment Is clean, modern with comfy bed and most well-stocked kitchen ever! A Dream Retreat in St Croix/ St Andrew

What a stunning find. This exquisite carriage house is located on a bay with stunning views and a trail to a waterfall. The owners live onsite and with an extensive working garden, we were treated with fresh strawberries every morning. The apartment was elegantly decorated with all the amenities including a soaking tub and deck. A quick drive to St Andrew’s and Minister Island made this an ideal location for a peaceful stay. And of course dog friendly

Best 4 nights ever

It is a beautiful property and Karen & Keith are excellent hosts. Our boys 14 & 9 felt as if they were visiting their grand parents. Karen is pretty hands on with kids - spending time teaching them different stuff from fruits picking to driving RTV. We spent time kayaking, hiking, swimming and chatting over bone fire every night. Wonderful place for kids and pets. Definitely recommend for stay in NB if looking for quite time with family.

Having Seema and her family staying with us was nothing short of a gift. Seema reminds me of my daughter, loves her quiet walks in the woods early in the morning and when the family wakes up is totally devoted to them. Her husband Sundeep, never stops admiring his family (so nice to watch), but don’t let him chop firewood, needs a bit more practice. As for their two wonderful sons, all I can say is I will miss the wit of the little one that wants to experience everything to its fullest and the older more reserved boy (a little shy) but a pleasure to have around ( he is becoming a wonderful young man). We hope to have them stay with us again someday To anyone checking to rent their place to this family, don’t hesitate. They are wonderful quests Karen and Keith

Exceptional experience!

This was an amazing week! The appartement was super clean, fully equipped and comfortable. Best part though was the hosts, Karen &Keith… So nice, easy going always available for us, and our baby dog! (Thanks again a Karen for the lessons and your patience with Bacchus!) Also had a few extras that were delicious ;-) A must if you like a place to relax while visiting NB!

The Perfect Homestead and Hosts

Karen and Keith’s place is such a wonderful hidden gem to relax and reset. Between the wonderful hospitality from Karen and Keith (including tour of the property, helping us get our paddle boards down to the water, building us a bonfire and making us fresh home made muffins in the morning) and the beautiful scenery (including waterfront access, waterfall and pick your own fruit and veggie farm), I don’t think we could’ve asked for more! The places is a short drive to St Andrews for lunch or dinner! And being able to bring my pups was just the icing on the cake. We will for sure try to come back to visit- if not just to hang out with K&K!

This property is for nature lovers wishing to experience beautiful scenery, comfortable accommodation and a place that feels like coming back home to your friends every evening. Of course, you may not want to leave in the morning. When you do, all tourist sites are close and easy to get to. You will taste home made muffins and bring home ideas for preserving summer bounty. We spent evenings with owners by the campfire and enjoyed our mornings on a lovely patio. This is your place for a quiet getaway, will be back.

Fabulous Getaway!

This is absolutely the best stay we ever had. This place goes way beyond charming. Turning into the most endearing homestead. The inside of the home is immaculate, with all the comforts of a home and then some. The grounds of the property is set back and secluded, giving way to a relaxing, calming and serene feeling. Having morning coffee and juice on the back terrace, which opens out from the bedroom, with all the hummingbirds at the feeder is a must. Sitting watching the many birds at the feeder and listening to the waterfall alleviates any stress one might have. We took several walks a day on the property and relaxed at our own private water's edge, enjoying the views. Hammocks and kayaks readily available for our own use. We had a magnificent time. The owner's, Karen and Keith, who are onsite, are simply wonderful, going beyond to make sure our stay and needs were met. It is easy to see that they take pride and care in what they do. They made sure we were comfortable and invited us to pick from their gardens. I cannot believe how hard they work on their property and took the time out to chat whenever we interrupted :) Our time, 4 nights, went by fast, too fast in fact. Not only did we thoroughly enjoy ourselves but our two little dogs did as well. Our little Nixi, chihuahua, would invite herself into Karen's place to sit on her lap. Dogs have an instinct for human kindness. We loved our stay and I want to give a big THANK YOU to Karen and Keith for our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. It had everything we needed. It was the most peaceful place we have ever stayed. Karen and Keith were exceptional hosts. They were on the property but were very respectful of your private time. One of the best vacation spots we have ever stayed. Thank you for letting us enjoy your property.

This property is just beautiful. Our only regret was we didn’t have more time to spend at the property. Karen and Keith were so easy to visit with and made us feel at home. Karen has thought of everything one would need in a home away from home. We did giggle about the tall counter tops! We both had great sleep in the very comfortable bed. The water front access is soothing for the soul. Definitely an incredible property!

My husband and I were thrilled with the accommodations. Very clean, comfortable, affordable, great location and very private. The gardens were filled with veggies and strawberries, we could pick what we wanted. Fresh eggs in the am, delicious! Karen and Keith were the best hosts we have had, we'll definitely be back!
