Welcome to The Denby Cabin on Pender Island. ***Prior to booking, please read through the description and rules to ensure that this property is suitable to what you're looking for, taking into consideration that this is a family home and we have put in a lot of hard work into making it a peaceful family retreat. We want you to have a great time enjoying all that the island has to offer while being respectful of your surroundings (we are in a protected area), our home and our neighbours.
Please respect our rules: Pet free - Sorry, we love pets but are not set up to accommodate. Please note that SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED on the property. Parties/events are strictly not allowed. No candles or open fires. Guests listed on the reservation are the only ones permitted in the home.
Here are some descriptive info about the property:
The Denby sits on a high bank overlooking the Swanson Channel, a major pathway for Orcas & Humpbacks that will often swim close to the bank as they pass by. You will definitely want to keep a look out!. Your views consists of the Olympic mountains, Moresby Island which lies straight ahead, while Vancouver Island is just beyond. Stuart Island and the San Juan Islands to the left. Salt Spring Island to the right. The property gets full picturesque sun rise and sunsets. The Island's ferry traffic are a dreamy sight all lit up at night. This beautiful scenery is visible from the open concept living room, the fully equipped kitchen, and continue on to a main deck and patio with BBQ & hottub. A separate TV room along with a laundry/pantry room & full bathroom with tub, completes the main floor.
The upper level leads to the master bedroom (king bed) with itâs own private deck. There are also two additional bedrooms, they each have one queen bed. There is one full bathroom on this floor.
Your space consists of a fully fenced yard and parking spots just outside of the main gate. Park by shop and follow the winding pathway to gate. From there, you will have full privacy of this gated section.
We are about twelve minutes from the ferry terminal. Minutes to Driftwood shopping centre, restaurants, public beach access, marinas including Thieves bay (whale watching), golf & disc course, & trails. The boat nook is a wonderful place to visit and is only a 12-15mins walk, or a few mins car ride.
There is a propane fire pit that is available for use providing that you fill the propane tank as needed. There may be instances where the option of a propane fire might not be available and we will communicate this to you. There is absolutely no candles or any other flammable items permitted on this property. Thank you for your understanding. Please reach out if you have any other questions. Hi! Welcome to our family home on Pender Island, located about twelve minutes from Otter Bay Ferry Terminal.
We are a family of five which consists of my husband and three kids. They all love fishing and everything outdoorsy, while I get to sight see (never gets old here) and relax with a good book :).
We love the convenience of resturants, coffee shops, the grocery store (my husband loves the hardware stores lol), and all the cute little stands by the side of the roads offering yummy home made treats. Some of the locals also offer deliveries!! Don't forget to visit the farmers market (seasonal) on Saturdays to get yourself some goodies. Bring your discs and visit the disc golf park, or take a stroll through the enchanted forest on your way to Poets Cove! Take a 12-15min walk (or a few mins car ride) from the cabin to the beautiful Boat Nook, you won't regret this visit it is stunning!.
