Welcome to "La Mer," a fantastic vacation rental in Crescent Head that has recently undergone an impressive top-level makeover, infusing a modern touch that might tug at your heartstrings when it's time to leave. This five-bedroom retreat reveals captivating ocean, lagoon, and mountain views, stretching from the Smokey Cape Lighthouse to Dulconghi Mountain.

Step into a gleaming, fully equipped Chef's kitchen adorned with a striking stone benchtop, a convenient breakfast bar, a dishwasher, and a pantry, along with a Nespresso pod coffee machine for that added touch of comfort.

Relax in the comfort of a revitalized lounge suite, coupled with a built-in flatscreen TV and stylish furnishings, making it perfect for relaxation and entertainment.

Indulge in a touch of luxury in the elegant bathroom, featuring a full-length bath, a ceiling shower head, and a double basin, creating a serene oasis.

Discover the outdoors through the grandeur of floor-to-ceiling stacker doors, unveiling an exceptional new deck that amplifies your connection with nature.

Outdoor gatherings are a delight with the built-in kitchen and BBQ on the deck, providing an ideal spot for get-togethers.

Convenience reigns supreme with two off-street parking spaces, ensuring seamless arrivals and departures.

This haven is an excellent choice for families to relish. The property comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests, thoughtfully arranged with 8 adults and 4 children. On-site and off-site parking is limited to a maximum of 4 vehicles. Please be aware that the property does not permit bucks parties, hens weekends, or large celebrations, and the minimum stay is 5 nights.

Please keep in mind that personal linen, including sheets, towels, and pillowcases, is not included. Guests are encouraged to bring their own, though arrangements for linen can be made for an additional fee.

Remember that the lower level of the property retains its original, unrenovated state. As for the bedding arrangement:

La mer retreat

Our stay was fabulous ! The view was unreal and the house was stocked well! Shame linen isn’t provided and beds aren’t made.. last thing you want to do on holiday is make 10 beds! Booking was confusing and Communication was difficult with agency but over all very good stay !

Hi Charlie, Thanks for your review, stoked you loved the house, but very frustrating after our staff replied to all your enquiries as they were sent in, the ad clearly notes linen is not included and that is common with a number of properties, which you agreed to pay BUT also beds WERE MADE for you AT NO EXTRA FEES charged - so make sure anyone reading understands this, you also have not understood the refund and bond process, which has been done. Picturesque views in a beautiful setting

As we opened the front door we were hit with an outstanding view. We had 8 adults and two small children that shared the house for a week without any issues of space. The BBQ area and fridge were perfect as was the children's area. The best asset for me was being able to open the sliding doors to their full capacity and just enjoy life. We didnt use Downstairs except for sleeping which will no doubt get a future facelift to pull it up to the same standard as upstairs. We will definitely return

La Mer, one of the best in Crescent Head

La Mer is one of the better equip homes we have stayed in. The top level is where all the WOW factor is; recently renovated with a beautiful open kitchen/living area, three bedrooms with built ins and a large bathroom. The views from the top level take in all of Crescent Head & beyond. There is a very handy undercover fully equip outdoor entertainment area. One negative is the uncleaned floors. It seems to be an issue with all Crescent Head's holiday homes we have stayed, always having to mop floors before enjoying our holiday or expect to live with black feet. The lower level we didn't use. It is the complete opposite, not renovated, looks unappealing & the old carpet has a strange odour. It has a large lounge room, multiple bedding configurations and a bathroom.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A week at Crescent for our group of 7 is always a joy when we stay at La Mer. When we walk in and see that spectacular view over the bay, the stress levels drop and the holidaying begins !The top level of this property has been fully renovated (in around 2019) - this includes 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining, deck and outdoor bbq area. The bedrooms are all set up with queen beds. Downstairs has not yet been renovated, still in fairly original set up from the 70s/80s - 1 large master style bedroom, bathroom and a bunk room with 3 sets of double bunks. Functional as sleep zones and as the second bathroom, but all the living while we visit is done upstairs in the newer zone. Great to see the ceiling fans added to the 3 upstairs bedrooms - really made a difference on hot summer nights in January. 10/10 !The kitchen remains a joy - sharp knives, plenty of everything. The bathroom is great, but do remember to bring a couple of bathmats so the floor doesn't get saturated and slipperySuggestions :- A bedside lamp for each side of each bedroom upstairs (currently one lamp per room)- Retractable Flyscreen doors across the big front glass doors would make a difference, keeping the mozzies out at night, but letting the breeze in- the queen beds in beds 2 & 3 could do with a review/replace - one has a broken base, the other is a slat bed format that could do with some TLC.We have rebooked and will return in 2024 :)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Second January holiday at La Mer, after 12 years previosuly at Beau Soleil. La Mer is a 2 storey house. The top level has had a full renovation 2 years ago, modernising, opening up the brilliant view with a fantastic deck and BBQ zone. The lower floor remains in original condition from the 70s/80s - while spacious and functional, very little time spent in those spaces except for sleepingPositives :- Best view in Crescent Head from the top deck- great modern kitchen - plentifully stocked. Sharp quality knives a bonus - thank you !- Upstairs bathroom - a terrific renovation, modern and sleek. Worthy of a magazine shoot !- lounge zone - very comfortable for up to 6 people. TV works well, wifi available and works well- BBQ - large and with bar fridge for frosty beverages. Excellent. Outdoor table seats 6, not quite large enough if the house is at full capacityTo make the upstairs perfect :- Fly screens across the large glass doors - on still evenings, insects are an issue, the large doors must be closed, restricting airflow- Bedrooms - a bedisde lamp on each side of the double beds (currently one per room) would be ideal- Bedrooms - can get stuffy in hot weather. Fans provided are ok, but the rooms do get hot/sticky- Bedrooms - Bed 2 (broken base), Bed 3 (slat bed base) - could do with an update. Bed 1 - top mattress did not agree with my back.- our week had quite a bit of damp weather - a dryer would have helped (washer only in laundry)- our rental includes a clean fee of $250 - frankly I don't believe the cleaners did a great job (for that fee) ahead of our visit.As we were max 6 people at the property this week, we did not use the lower area. If the current owners were to do an update to this level, La Mer would elevate to another level as a large capacity 10-12 person property.This is certainly a step up from our previous Crescent Head holiday venue (Beausoleil)
