Mountain view from the cabin porch and loft bedroom was gorgeous. Very peaceful location. Cabin was very clean. Only issue was the cookware. Most was worn and scratched up a lot. Replacement pots and pans would go a long way. Really enjoyed the visit!

Beautiful Mountain Views

My family and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend get away. Our goal was to find a place to enjoy beautiful mountain views, and this cabin delivered. We were very happy with our stay and would happily recommend this place to others.

The cabin was well maintained and had everything you need for your stay. Loved sitting out on the deck every morning with coffee and every evening with a glass of wine. The hummingbirds were fun to watch. The downstairs bed was very comfy.

Wonderful Cabin

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. We thought the beds were very comfortable and were thankful to have all the necessities that we needed and the owner even came and refilled the propane tank for the outdoor fire pit when it was empty. My only suggestion is that there should be more bath clothes in each bathroom.

We will be back!

Beautiful property, perfect location. We went mining and played putt putt one day, it took us about 15 min to get there. The grocery store is about 15 min away and so is a wonderful restaurant named Julie’s. We highly recommend stopping by Julie’s and getting the fried green tomatoes. Our cabin was spotless, had tons of games for the kids. We had 6 adults and 5 kids and it was the perfect space for us.

Family Reunion

We had family from three different states meet up for a few days at the cabin. It was terrific for our needs as we had a wide range of ages. The home was clean upon arrival and stocked with most every kitchen gadget you could think of needing. Our only negative is that the arcade game downstairs only worked for about 40 minutes one afternoon, so my son was slightly disappointed. Other than that, everything was as pictured and described. Thanks for accommodating us!

Fantastic Home

My wife and I have rented many VRBO's over the last 10 years and usually they have some pros and cons. This property has only pros. The beds and living room furniture were extremely comfortable. The views from the deck are gorgeous and we especially enjoyed refilling the hummingbird feeders and watching them feed. WIFI is fast and there are Smart TV's in every room. Although we didn't use the lower level, it is set up for fun activities with a game machine, TV, foosball and table bowling. The road up to the house, although narrow is paved the entire distance. I can't say enough good things about this house. Great house, great views and easy access to town. Besides all this, there is a great restaurant 3 miles away, Julie's Place.

Wonderful Getaway

Our family of 6 booked a long weekend recently and we are still talking about what a wonderful time we had. We are very busy with 4 littles and it was so nice to have a slow time to relax and just be together. We enjoyed everything about the cabin. It was super clean, well equipped and even decorated for Christmas, which was a pleasant surprise. The views were spectacular and we could not get enough. We enjoyed both fireplaces outside as well as the blackstone. My only recommendation would be for some instructions about cleaning and seasoning the blackstone after use. It’s obvious that people are using it but it was in rough shape when we went to cook our first meal on it. I spent a good hour or more scraping it down, taking care of the rust and reseasoning it to a point that we could use it. Thank you so much for an incredible stay. We hope to be back one day!

Beautiful view

Property was very nice and beds were comfortable. We did find out after we booked the property that in order to use the firepot, we needed to bring our own starter wood. That was not listed on the post. Also, we wanted to use the fire table as well, and apparently there wasnt any gas left in the tank, nor was there any flickers to light it. Owner stated there were flickers in the kitchen, but we didnt find any and the ones left outside were empty. Overrall great weekend, but i expected more with the amenties listed that we couldnt use. Also, there was not a single packet of hummingbird mix to add to the feeders.

The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:-We're glad to hear you enjoyed the beautiful views, comfortable beds, and relaxing ambiance of the cabin.-Firewood is provided for the firepit, but guests should bring their own fire starter if needed, as kindling is not included. This hasn’t been a request in the past.-The gas fire pit was stocked with a full tank and a spare, though it seems the lighters in the cabin may have run out of fluid. As discussed, we were happy to reimburse you for purchasing a lighter.-Hummingbird feed isn’t provided during this season since hummingbirds aren’t typically around, but regular bird feed is available to attract local wildlife.We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. Thanks for taking the time to leave your review.

Killer View

The view from the covered deck was wonderful. The cabin was very clean had everything we needed. It advertised a outdoor grill (griddle) but when we got there the instructions not to use or use with your own gas.The biggest issue was the lack of clothes storage in the bedrooms. Only one closet available on main floor for all three bedrooms. The loft bedroom had a chest and a large closet that was locked for owner storage. The lower level had no closet or chest.The road to the cabin was a winding newly paved single lane road. Fortunately during our weeks stay we did not meet another vehicle.There was a lot of humming birds to enjoy and the game room was great.

From the owner: "Thank you for your stay, Howard. Your feedback is much appreciated. I would note, if you ever come back, that the grill is attached to the main gas line directly and that there is a timer next to the grill that you turn on before using the grill. It certainly works and we actually do not want anyone needing to bring their own gas. Thanks!"

Beautiful View

We enjoyed a 4 week stay by 4 adults. The drive up to the house is a narrow winding road, but we became more comfortable with it after a few days. The view from the deck is wonderful and we enjoyed many sunsets. We also enjoyed watching from our tree top perspective the song birds and hummingbirds visit the feeders on the porch. The house had great wifi service and smart TVs in every room. We often listened to Apple Music on the Sonos speaker in the living room . We cooked many meals on the black stone grill on the porch and the compact well equipped kitchen. We frequently utilized the full sized stacked washer and dryer. The property representative was responsive to several urgent requests during our stay. We played Pickleball in Murphy, Hayesville, and Hiawasse. We caught brown and rainbow trout in July in Bryson City and the Upper Nantahala. We rafted the Nantahala Gorge. We visited Franklin, Cherokee, Bryson City, Brasstown Bald, Blairsville, Hayesville, Fires Creek Falls, Lake Chatuge, Elijay, and Murphy. Summer weather was comfortable.

Details are important

Although the property and setting are beautiful, the lack of attention to some details detracted from our stay; things such as the code to enter the house didn't work. It took about an hour of additional phone calls just to get into the house, initially. It was also difficult to find at night. The house number was very difficult to find. On the positive side, the house and the games are very kid friendly, which we appreciated. We did have some problems with the internet connection and programs were interrupted because of this. The house was well stocked with needed items; towels, dishes; appliances, etc. I would be willing to provide additional information to the hosts regarding other minor details that were overlooked. If these minor changes were done, then I would highly recommend the location to anyone.

Homeowner's Response: "We are sorry about the batteries being dead on the keypad for the door. We are glad that within five minutes of your call, we were able to get you in via the manual key. We're also sorry for the huge storm that came through and took down a tree that disabled the internet. We, unfortunately, do not have the luxury of our telecommunication lines being buried up so high in the mountains, so we are susceptible to downed trees and high winds from time to time. Sorry, the numbers weren't bright enough for you, this is the first time we've had this feedback, so we will put eyes on it and see if it is an issue."

Not as advertised

Cabin was clean, decks were dirty. Looked like they had not been cleaned at all. The fire pit had no gas so couldn’t be used unless you take the tank to get refilled. The grill was very dirty. When I spoke to seller he said we had to heat the grill and put water on it and scrub it. Not good. The chairs were dirty with dirty cushions. Also when we went inside the cabin there were only 3 clothes hangers. When I called the owner right away to let him know only 3 hangers and his reply was “I had about 40 there. I don’t know what year that was but there were only 3 in the main floor bedroom closet and I did find 2 more down in the bottom of closet which made a total of 5. I thought someone would get more hangers to us but never heard from him again. We just didn’t unpack. Also the closet upstairs in master bedroom the closet was locked and couldn’t be used. Only closet was on main floor. Very inconvenient. Pictures of both decks were not as advertised. We really didn’t use either. Not very inviting. I would not stay here again. The skillets in kitchen were not usable.
