Whaler’s Rest is perfect for a romantic weekend or a vacation with another couple—both bedrooms have their own TVs and baths, so there’s plenty of space and privacy for up to four people. You can easily drive 20 minutes north to Lincoln City or 20 minutes south to Newport’s Bayfront, but there’s plenty of activity in Depoe Bay, with its scenic seawall, entertaining line of shops and its tiny harbor, where you can catch a whale-watching or fishing trip.
