Now With Hot Tub!

Located in the Sunset Shores community of New Buffalo stands this newly remodeled charmer. The Traveler is the perfect home for your next getaway. Just steps from New Buffalo's Marina and several restaurants as well as downtown New Buffalo. A new heated private pool (Open May 1st to October 31st) will be yours to kick back and relax in. Now featuring a brand new outdoor hot tub as well (open year round)! Your group will have access to New Buffalo's public beach about a mile from the property. All the amenities you come to expect in a quality rental including, central heat/air, internet, cable, washer/dryer, private heated pool, hot tub, gas grill, gas fireplace and more.

**All Guests required to sign a Guest Occupancy Agreement.

**Sunset shores beached have been impacted by storms and a couple of years of harsh winters. We hope they will be back to normal by the time of your rental. This has always been a smaller beach, there may be some, but we are hoping for more of the beach to come back by this Spring and early Summer. New Buffalo public beach is half a mile from house and has parking.

**Maximum four car parking.

**Maximum two dogs allowed.

Very well-equipped, cozy and well-located place. Spend a week here in August 2025. My only complaint was the only tv in the place was also located next to the AC intake vent, which is quite loud making it hard to relax and watch tv at night because it turns on and off. Beds were so comfy, had everything we needed, pool and hot tub were great.

Great home for a family trip!

The property was perfect for a family vacation and comfortably accommodated 4 adults, 3 children under 4, and a dog. The house was clean and well taken care of. We had everything we needed and more! It is a short walk to restaurants and shops and the neighborhood was very quiet. The owner of the home was responsive and very helpful - we would definitely book again!

A good time

New hot-tub was a nice add. Good to see the owners investing in their property elsewhere, beyond the hot-tub. Had an issue with bathroom plumbing which was quickly resolved-no impact on the quality of our stay.

Outside grounds were a mess unkept dead grass lots of weeds and pool was dirty. Floors inside not clean. Damage in the kitchen from a small fire but appliances weren’t replaced. Looks like the property wasn’t cared for at all.Area was great close proximity to beach and shops.

The house & yard were clean. The kitchen was well equipped & there were plenty of bed, bath & kitchen linens. Liked the closeness to the beach & restaurants. We noticed in the site’s pictures that there was only 1 TV, so we brought one with us. 9 people are not going to agree on one program! Our ages ranged from 8 to 82 and we all had a good time.

This rating is really for Bluefish Vacations, the property owner. The pool’s pump was broken upon arrival and wasn’t fixed until the day before we left. There was no leaf skimmer or rake, so I had to purchase these items at a local hardware store - at least the property had the pole. I was not reimbursed, but they did offer to charge me 5 for sending a pair of air pods back to me. Regardless , I had to rake and skim the pool for 45 minutes every morning to combat the half-dead trees shedding leaves in the back. But Bluefish assured me that I wouldn’t get a staph infection, so it was fine to swim in. Won’t be staying at any property managed by these people again. House was very meh. Comfortable beds - that’s about it. The furnace was about as loud as a car wash. Outside, the grounds were in shambles - dead plants and trees all around, hoses strewn about haphazardly, lousy paint job, etc. Very disappointed in this year’s trip to New Buffalo.

Family get away

This is our 3rd time staying at this location and while the past 2 times were great and we made lots of memories, this trip was fantastic!!!! The upgrades to the house and decor were AMAZING!!! I did have to contact the rental agency and they were very quick to respond and even sent people to the house the next day… This was the best weekend we have spent here and CANNOT WAIT TO DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR

Weekend family getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the weekend! This property was close to everything. We took kids and grandkids. Everyone had a ball. This property is very spacious. Lots of room for everybody. Very clean when we got there. And great price. We will definitely be looking at this property again for future getaways.

Girls weekend

Wonderful place, clean and inviting! Had everything we needed for a group of 5 women! Bluefish rentals were great communicators as well for early check in. Will definitely be renting for my family of 5. Ideal location -walk to everything .

Fantastic

We loved the house. It was convenient for visiting the wineries. We were able to bring our own dinner Friday night and cook it there. We also enjoyed being able to just stay in and play games. The house was clean and adorable. We would definitely stay again.

Great spot with private pool!

This was the perfect spot for you girls weekend getaway. The house was big enough and a great location. The private pool made for a nice spot with lots of room for everyone to lounge. The outdoor dining was wonderful to soak up the last few nice weekends of summer. The house was nice, there wasn’t a ton of resources to do all the cooking we did at the house. The plates were chipped and in rough shape and there were Cob webs all over but that was a quick fix.

The Traveler New Buffalo Pool House

Nice surprise in New Buffalo. The house has been recently renovated and had nice furniture and quality appointments. Well stocked and family friendly spot. Short walk into town and good proximity to other attractions. A nice neighborhood park is just a few blocks away with swings and slides. The pool was heated and a great attraction for our grandchildren. Lots of games and pool floats provided. The beds, bedding, and towels were plentiful and good quality. The owners are thoughtful and even provided an ice cream gift card for our use while in town. This is our 7th year of renting for a full week in June this property was our best choice and most comfortable home yet.

Great location. Very peaceful. House needs updating. Pool needs a cover. Spent a lot of time cleaning bugs out of pool. Arrival time is too late in the day and check out times to early. Seems two days are wasted. Overall we throughly enjoyed our time.

Nice Summer Beach Cottage

This property is a great spot in New Buffalo! The heated pool was a great feature, especially with kids. The property was well maintained. I would note that two of the bedrooms adjoin, as that wasn’t clear from the listing. Also, the property said it had a DVD player but there wasn’t one in the house. The property manager did not return my call about that. Besides that, it was a great stay.

Loved the house, had so much fun with family and the pool.

All 3 toilets were rocky. Not solid. Spiders on the outside of the house. Take a hose and spray it off. My husband took a broom and wiped the front doors down. Other then that we loved it.

After a few things had to be repaired we had a great time

We were a little disappointed when we got there cause the pool wasn’t in working order. Heater had not been on and after my husband worked on it… he got the heater to work. The one bathroom shower did not work only faucet for babies to take a bath so we all had to share one shower. I do have to say they did try to fix everything to the best of their ability. Also the ice maker in freezer was not working

Best House Ever.

My 4 teenage kids walked in and couldn't stop raving, whole house is gorgeous, comfortable, so comfortable. It's definitely been the restorative break our family needed. Pool is great too! 10/10 definitely recommend, we will be back.
