The Shad Street Beach Access with public parking is about a 5 block walk or 2-minute drive or take advantage of the free trolley to the oceanfront pool.

As part of Corolla Light, guests have 12 armbands that give you access to the community amenities including four community pools, 10 tennis courts, two piers, a sports center, and the only oceanfront restaurant in Corolla - Ocean Front Grille. Don't forget, Corolla Light Resort guests receive preferred golf rates at The Currituck Club in Corolla and The Seascape Golf Club in Kitty Hawk!

Family time in Outer Banks

This was our first family vacation in Corolla, NC. Bea Content was the perfect house for our first visit. It had everything that we needed, and the pool was a bonus. The beach was beautiful, but it was very hot. It was great to get in the pool at the house or go to the Corolla Light resort. We rented bikes, and had a great meal from Outer Banks Boil Company. We mostly cooked in and stayed in the area. We did venture out to the Wright Brothers Museum and had lunch at Hurrican Moes. The house was located close to shopping and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. When we arrived one of the airconditioners was out on the main floor of the house, and Village Realty responded promptly and had a service technician out on a Sunday morning and fixed the problem. Sometimes things happen, but it was so reassuring to know that the rental company took such good care of our family. Thanks for a wonderful time.

A Nice Rental, Just Needs Some Attention

We had a very nice week at BeaContent with our entire family. The home is very nice, but just has some areas where there are some needs, mainly in the bathrooms (chipping paint and drywall, some mold, drains not functioning, etc.) and in the sliding glass doors (doors stick, do not roll on the track, difficult to lock). We received information from the property manager regarding check-in/check-out that was a breeze, but there wasn't much in the way of home instructions once we got there, so it was a little trial and error. We also never found the 12 wristbands for access to the Corolla Light resort, so we weren't able to take advantage of that. The pool and hot tub at the home were perfect, especially for our kids, and the kitchen is well stocked as well! As a piece of advice to those who rent, the Shad Road beach access is nice, but the one just a little more north (just across from the lighthouse) is much better, easier to get on and off, and has a nicer beach as well as bathroom facilities -- its worth the (1 minute longer) drive. And, as a caution, the impervious pavers in the driveway can be a little tricky, especially for those in your party who are a little older. We had two ankle sprains in our party, so please watch your footing. Also, it would be helpful to have a copy of the rules for the Corolla Light neighborhood, as we had a gentleman ring the doorbell to scold us for hanging towels on the railings, which we didn't know was a thing. Overall, a nice rental that would be excellent with just a little more attention to detail.
