Thank you Nicole for your comments and review! We are happy to hear you had a wonderful vacation and you and your family were able to enjoy the area and your stay. Regarding the different situations during your stay, we take reports seriously and do our best to address anything that is not functioning well when reported. We take pride in our vacation rentals and the level of care that we offer all our guests to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. We have numerous returning guests because of this. The water issue was reported at 5:52 AM on a Thursday and we replied back at approximately 8 AM on the same day, as soon we knew about it, we send our maintenance team to check and water was back by 10 AM. We cannot address an issue if it’s not reported and, in this case, it was mentioned just a few hours before we solved it. In this case, the service provider shut the water off not only in your Villa but all the neighborhood, which frequently happens in Costa Rica. The kitchen area, we do have 2 medium size ovens, one in each Villa, however we are working on improving it and looking into placing a regular oven size oven, that way it’s easier to cook/prepare meals. Housekeeping at that time was offered once a week and it was mentioned during the check in. Unfortunately, we never heard one complaint from you regarding dirty floors otherwise we would have addressed it. It is unfortunate we are hearing about this in your review, guest communication is essential in making sure your stay is as successful and stress free. Regarding your comments about our concierge, Cris; she is one of the best in the area, this is reflected in hundreds of 5-star reviews we have received which mention her. She is very prompt and offers the best service all year, even during holidays and high season (which I am sure you can imagine is super hectic). In your case, we looked into it and she showed us the numerous emails prior to your trip and that she even provided her personal cell number to you, that way you could access her faster and more direct. We work with many providers who offer great service and always try to take care of our guests as best as possible even when things go wrong. The transportation you booked was fully confirmed and ready to go prior to your arrival. When you arrived the provider did not have what was reserved and as a solution, he cancelled an original booking to accommodate your group, and this was happily accepted by you. However, when this was delivered, you then changed your mind and decided to return it. Our provider then lost that sale, as again he cancelled a booking to accommodate you, which he did because of the long-standing relationship that Cris has with him, and the confidence he has in her work. Even though you returned the vehicle you originally accepted as a replacement, the provider went ahead to process a full refund. For reference, during New Year’s or any big holiday, this type of refund does not take place with any company. In the end, Cris, went above and beyond and got you a free shuttle to move you and your group around and a car rental, which again is almost impossible during those dates. The tours and activities you booked through her all went well and smoothly. Unfortunately, the only difficult point is being focused on in your review. We would like to also close this out by adding that you contacted Cris a month after you left Costa Rica, for her help with sorting out payment details from other providers used during your stay and Cris happily obliged.
