Wonderful first days for new Austin residents

We had way more than normally expected from an experience of this sort: all the items you normally need when at home like, towels, soap, flour, coffee, sugar, all kitchen utensils, books in the shelves, etc. We certainly had the best of Austin and this helped us through our process of relocation. For the price, this is surely better than many long stay hotels.

Fransisco and his family were wonderful guests. They made our place a home. They began to quickly learn Austin and all it had to offer - great grocery stores, lots of places to shop and wonderful coffee spots. . We enjoyed suggesting schools and neighborhoods. Their daughter is delightful and quickly became an Austinite.! Welcome!

awesome owners

we stayed here June '15 for rot rally. it was nice and cozy. room for our trailer. neighbors were friendly also. the ac froze up but Cody's daughter was on top of it and came over and then called actually repair. was very awesome to have her do this!

Love, Love this house.

I doubt I will ever stay in another hotel. This house has sold me on VRBO and I hope this house is always available when I travel to Austin. Clean, homey and oh so convenient. Thank you Cody for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.

Great Location and Value

Great South Lamar location within walking distance of Broken Spoke, Torchy's Tacos, and much more. And a very short drive or bike ride to downtown, South Congress, Zilker Park, etc. Very comfortable and very well-stocked home, had everything we needed. We did have an issue with the AC the first night but it was just a clogged drain line and was fixed the next morning. I see a guest in June had a similar problem so they might want to have this checked. I would definitely come back on a future visit to Austin.

Wonderful - just like home!

This was a mother daughters getaway in Austin and first time using Homeaway. I was a little out of my comfort zone but it was fantastic! We were close to everything. Friday vintage shopping and dinner at East Side. Saturday hiking. We stopped at HEB and made dinner at home away from home. Fully stocked kitchen (nice cookware). If I go back to Austin, this will be my first choice!

Weekend Getaway

Cody's place was as comfortable and immaculate as it could be! Everything and anything my friends and I needed for an enjoyable stay could be found. The beds are extremely comfortable. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze. The location was great; it was so close to south congress restaurants, coffee shops, minutes away from downtown and Barton springs and Zilker. I will definitely be back! Thank you!

Amazing value, beautiful accommodations!

This 2 bedroom apartment is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need. It is perfect for people who like to cook or just don't want to eat out all the time and can't travel with all of their kitchen stuff. The kitchen items in this apartment are very good quality. Nice, thick bottom cookware, good knives, large fridge space, toaster, blender, toaster oven, microwave, and even coffee and condiments! There are tons of clean towels and all the beds have super clean white bedspreads on them. You can tell that everything has been washed right before your arrival. This place is top quality and so well cared for. The owner was very considerate of our needs and even offered us an air bed for our son to sleep on. Excellent experience, highly recommended!

Terrific!

The property worked perfectly for me and two school age children. It is centrally located to some highly recommended BBQ and Cafes. The Host included suggestions for local entertainment and eating establishments that worked wonderfully for us. The duplex is located in a safe cul-de-sac that the kids could play in and included covered parking off the street. I hope to get back again next year for spring break.

Comfort + everything you need is SOLA

The hosts were my first impression. They were easy to connect and communicate with, friendly and helpful. The condo offers a generous open space living and dining room plus two bed rooms. The condo also offers a generous patio with bar-b-q. The location is perfect, in the heart of South Austin and just minutes from downtown. We enjoyed great food at several Tex Mex restaurants, the HopDoddy hamburger restaurant, and local coffee shops. Our stay offered an easy commute to the Hill Country and wine tasting plus we got to Austin City Limits for a Texas New Year's eve. It doesn't get much better.

perfect house

This is probably the best house I have ever stayed at in Austin. I have stayed at lots of places mostly friends houses. This place exceeded all of their places. Perfect location in quiet neighborhood. Such an easy drive north to downtown and get to come back to the quietness. House has everything you need, I mean everything!!! The price is fantastic, absolutely no complaints. Will definitely stay here again.

Cute, comfy, clean & great location!!!

My two friends and I stayed here for a girls getaway. We've rented through VRBO numerous times, and Cody's house is one of our favs! The duplex was adorable and so well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean. We had never been to Austin and didn't know the city at all, but It turned out to be in a great location! We were initially concerned that there was only one bathroom and three women, but there was a vanity area in the master bedroom that was a pleasant surprise and an added bonus! The back patio was nice, although we didn't get to spend anytime out there because there is so much to do in Austin. Cody was wonderful to work with. The only recommendation I have is to pack a set of ear plugs because there is a new condominium complex going up behind the house, and the construction started at 7:00 am. We will definitely be back to Austin and will stay here again!

Perfect little gem!

Three of us traveled to Austin from Denton for a weekend visit with friends. We were SO impressed with Cody's perfect little escape in South Austin. It was expertly appointed with anything you could possibly need for a short stay -- or even long term. The decor was eclectic, the furniture was all super comfy, the patio is a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the night air. We could not have been happier with the place and will definitely keep it in mind for future visits.

Quaint property in a lovely area.

Property is lovely - looks exactly as pictured. The home was very well kept, with plenty of towels/washcloths, closet space, and a great iron! Adequate parking between the driveway and the coldesac, in which the property is located. Overall, excellent stay & Cody was very helpful with any requests that we had!

Cozy Home in Perfect Location

We stayed for 2 weeks in December while working and visiting family. This place is comfy-funky and has everything you could possibly need to make yourself at home. Furniture and beds are comfortable; all cooking utensils plus spices and teas and other goodies; laundry and dish washing and cleaning supplies; doodads for a small office; fluffy towels (including beach towels); information about Austin; and tons of wonderful books (including some kids' books). When the weather's nice, the large back deck is pleasant (and has pots of fresh herbs). Fabulous grocery store Central Market is very close, as are tons of fun Austin restaurants. The location is so central it's easy to get just about anywhere in Austin from here. And Cody is a joy to work with. We'll definitely be back.

Great property in a quiet but convenient location

The property was very clean with great amenities, nice deck, and quiet neighborhood (despite some short-term street construction nearby). We stayed there for ACL weekend. While it was a little too far to walk by foot, it was a short drive to closer parking. Had we brought bikes, it would have been an easy ride to Zilker. Also very close to Kirby Lane and Taco Xpress for breakfast. The owners were friendly and made the stay extremely easy. Recommended for anyone visiting the city with a car or bike.

Perfect Location & Great Accommodation

We had a great time in Austin for the weekend - made even better by the perfect location of Cody's unit. Walking distance to the Broken Spoke, a short drive to South Congress and 6th Street. Cody's recommendations on eateries in the area were all fantastic, we tried them all! The accommodation was clean & comfortable, we really appreciated all the little touches included - so much better than staying in a hotel! FAMILY HOLIDAY VISIT

Great location in South Austin. Convenient to all areas of the city and a quick drive to see the kids who live near Salt Lick. The place is very well appointed with everything you may need if you cook; we went to numerous restaurants within a few mile radius and never ran out of selections. great location

We rented this property during Labor Day weekend. We were in Austin for LEGO Kids Feast. There are 4 of us: my husband, me, my 10 yr old boy, and my almost 3 yr old boy. We love the location of this property. We visited Amy's ice cream and Kirby Lane while we stayed here. The drive to the Conventional Center was easy too. The home reminded me of a 2 bedroom apartment. When we were there, it was hot and a lot of mosquitoes. So we didn't really use the outdoor patio. The A/C unit was loud but to us, it is perfect for white noise while we slept. Overall, it was a better than renting a hotel. Cody was really nice. I'd love to stay here with my family again in the future.

Great location!

We came to Austin to visit friends and family after moving away in 2010. We loved staying in "funky" South Austin. We were able to visit family in far South Austin, Friends in North Austin and walk to many restaurants with ease. The duplex was a perfect size for our family of four. My 10 year old and 7 year had plenty of space and the master bedroom is very spacious. The pantry was well stocked with staples and there were plenty of clean towels (included beach which was a nice surprise). The decor was modern Austin....I loved looking at the Austin pictures. There was also a wide range of books and some children's games. The only reason the property lost one star was because it needed a good dusting. It was clean but there was dust on most surfaces. I also wished the deck area had been washed better for us to enjoy. I would recommend this property for anyone visiting Austin. It was great and I hope to stay there in the future!!

Winter Stay

We really enjoyed our stay on Cody Court while we visited Austin this winter. The location was a perfect base for exploring the Austin area. Our accommodations were very nice and well stocked with all the appliances, linens, laundry facilities, etc, that make for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the “Austin” feeling décor and the variety of books on hand to enjoy. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet for being in such a busy city. Our hosts were wonderful and eager to make our stay enjoyable. We would highly recommend this home away from home to anyone visiting the area.
