Anchors Away - Spacious Margaritaville Estates Home!

Emilee, thanks for leaving a revue as we really appreciate the feedback. I believe that I spoke with you on the phone during your stay concerning some dead bugs and toilets that appeared to not be clean. I inspected the home after your departure and determined that the toilets did have hard water rings from our hard, mineral filled water in our area, but that they were probably not dirty. They sometimes appear that way but, it is, in fact very hard water. I apologize for the dead bugs. The house is on a regular pest spraying schedule and once in a while a dead bug or two turn up. This is normal for our area as we have a lot of trees and a lot of water, two things that attract lots of bugs. It is possible that the pest control had recently sprayed and we overlooked a dead bug. Thanks again for the revue, this is one of our favorite homes and the only one we have with a hot tub and one of the very few homes that comes with two community pools. Also the home is located close to Margaritaville which offers a multitude of dining and recreation options including an indoor water park. Have a great day! Catina, thanks for your review! We appreciate the feedback. While this home is regularly treated for insects, it is nestled in the trees and the spiders have been especially bad this year. Please remember that it you have any issues just contact our office during your stay and we will be glad to address any concerns. Wendy, thanks for your review. This is certainly not the condition that we want you to find when you arrive at one of our rental properties. While it looks like we overlooked a number of items, if you should find that in the future, we are just a phone call away and would be glad to take care of anything that was not right. During the summer we are in the office seven days per week and we are only 10 minutes from this property. We have plenty of linens on hand and would be glad to replace anything that was overlooked. If you called to report these items during your stay we don't have a record of it. An element burned out which tripped the breaker and the part had to be ordered (it has now been repaired). While we try to catch everything during our property inspection, we are human and may miss something like the nail, curtain rod or loose counter. However if you contact us during your stay we can take care of issues such as those fairly quickly and without too much interference with your vacation, especially if it is something you are really concerned about. Please remember in the future that our contact information is located within our downloadable digital welcome book, posted on the refrigerator, is in your confirmation and in your contract. If you have any issues or need something please do not hesitate to contact us. Our cancellation policy is designed to protect our owners and guests investments. All of the properties that we manage are all individually owned and the rental income allows our owners to own a second home or condo and off-set the costs of owning that second property and allowing guests to use for their vacation accommodations. We encourage our guests to purchase vacation rental insurance from a third party, so that if they have to cancel for a legitimate reason, they will be covered. Otherwise we offer to try and re-book the property (and then give a refund if it can be re-rented) or in some cases we can move guest dates to another time frame (off-season) to allow for usage. You are correct, the carpet has reached it's life expectancy and is being replaced this winter. Concerning the spots on the ceiling, the roof was replaced during the spring (due to previous leaks) and then leaked again. And we apologize for the hot tub. A third party company takes care of the hot tub and apparently didn't come by to clean the hot tub. If something like that occurs, a quick call to our office and we can check on the status and get the hot tub company out to the property. Kathy, thanks for your review, we really appreciate it! Thanks for bringing the maintenance issues to our attention. Some of the items are being addressed during the off-season. The roof had leaked during the summer and a new roof is going on before next spring. While we check the hot tub before each guest, we have had issues with the trees surrounding the home dropping sap and pollen into the hot tub, making it a challenge when guests don't keep the lid closed during non-use. Due to this on-going issue, the owner is removing the hot tub this winter. We do have our properties sprayed but the spiders were the worst I have seen in the last few years. Also the carpet in the living room is being replaced as well. The carpet is very light colored, old and shows everything. In addition the owner is performing a number of updates throughout the home this winter. A number of these issues could have been resolved by contacting our office. Please remember that we are available every weekday during normal business hours and that we do have a 24 hour emergency number as well to assist our guests.
