Beach access was great, walked right out and put our feet in the sand. The beach was not crowded at all, it was just those staying in the condos near us. The condo itself was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable! We brought our one year old granddaughter and she had a great “first beach” experience. Looking forward to coming back again another time.

Awesome vacation

We had a fabulous week with our family. The location is perfect, the beach is beautiful, with white sand and very few people. The appartement is very clean, completely renovated with everything you need ( kitchen with all the tools you need to cook at home) and has its private access to the beach. The swimming pool is clean and the kids enjoyed alternating beach and swimming pool. There are a lot of restaurants and activities to do nearby ( 10min driving) Great place!!

Beautiful condo and location

Our family was so pleased with this condo and location. It was very clean, well appointed, updated and literally steps to the beach. Great set up for our adult family and toddler grandchild. We worked with a local baby equipment rental company to get the additional things we needed for the baby - with all the stairs, 3 child gates are a must if you have a toddler. RVA was attentive to our needs throughout the process. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location and the condo was beautiful. The 2 levels were perfect for our multi-generational family of 6. This was the most well-stocked kitchen we have ever had the pleasure of cooking in. Great to have lots of beach towels along with all the beach goodies in the outdoor cabinet. Thoroughly enjoyed our time on the main deck area as well as the upstairs balcony.

It was a bit crowded for us, great location though.

Easy rental portal. Confusing when we checked in, sent us a code, however, unit wasn’t very clean. Dirty diaper under bed, toilets and showers needed a better scrubbing, area rugs dirty. For the rental price, it was sub par. The rental agency was very nice.

Wonderful Stay!

My family had a wonderful stay at La Playa. The property is well managed, accessible and fully stocked. Everything in the unit is to advertised and updated. The views are unbeatable and the access to the beach is so convenient. Everyone we met at the property was kind and welcoming. The pool is in the back of units which is nice when you have heavy winds on beach. We received a nice message from the property manager before check in. It is about 15 steps up to the unit which is the only challenge with older people but we knew that going in.

Enjoy dinner with Sunset View right from your balcony

Beautiful property right on the beach. We loved the pictures on the web, but its even better life. Super clean, tastefully decorated. With direct accesss to the sand and water from the balcony. Private, quiet, exclusive. WholeFoods is within 20 minutes, Publix is even closer. Plenty of towels and beach towels. Beds are super comfy. Parking was always available.We absolutely loved everything. Highly recomend. Thank you for having us.

The key code didn't work and this unit is not managed by the onsite office. Fortunately, the door was unlocked. But it was a pain to have to contact RVA to get the key code fixed. Also, the property has about 25 beach lounge chairs which is way too few for a 21 unit complex with at least 4 people per unit. Loved the location.

My family has been coming to LBK for over 50 years. We’ve stayed at LaPlaya for over 20 years. We stayed with our deposit transferring over from our reservation with LaPlaya to RVA this year. Considering returning if price is more comparable to LaPlaya and other resort prices. Prices listed online are extremely high considering few Amenities and smaller pool located on roadside. Recommend if prices are more comparable. Other items: We did not get into our unit until after 6:30 on checking day due to cleaning crew arriving at 4. Shower door in upstairs bath is loose. I did call and it was shared it needs to be replaced. Also, main floor toilet flushing chain continued to come off.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always love visiting Longboat Key! The weather was sunny and beautiful. Ocean was where you wanted to spend your time to cool off. We have stayed in this unit a year ago in April of 2001. Beautiful, updated unit unit. To be honest, i want you give you valuable feedback. I felt the unit wasn’t As clean on arrival. It smelled very musty. The sheets and towels were left in the dryer. I folded them. Two beddings I replaced as the sheets were dirty with hair and I assume food. The slider door was off the track. Also, the dishwasher was broken along with both shower drains were clogged. I called maintenance where they fixed the drains and slider. We never heard back on the dishwasher as he told us he’d make some calls. Not sure if you switched cleaning companies. Last year, the towels were even folded into cute animals. The pool chairs were never cleaned the whole week with debris from trees all over them. We did have a beautiful week but was disappointed on the number of things that were broke or not clean with the cost of a weekly rate compared to other units. I marked I would recommend based off last year not this year stay.

The Ideal Vacation Destination!

Fully renovated, completely stocked (kitchen & linen closets), clean, comfortable, and just steps away from the beach. The floor plan is a bit unusual since the master bedroom (with the ensuite bathroom) is on the first floor. There is no other bathroom on the first floor. And the other large bedroom with the ocean front balcony & sitting area, (which "should" be the master bedroom)is on the second floor and shares a small bathroom with another bedroom. This was a bit of a surprise but we made it work.All in all we enjoyed our stay and plan to return next year. The RVA staff was very professional, friendly, organized and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Unit #203D at La Playa Condominiums on Longboat Key!
