The place was super cute, clean and host very responsive. We had an issue with the door i sent a text and someone was there within maybe 10 min to fix it. It wasn't a lake view but the lake was very close. As soon as we arrived we saw deer in the back and a coyote we named Roxanne. The kitchen had everything we needed to grill, cook and bake. And if you forget anything thre is a grocery sote 3 minutes away.

Perfect Stay

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin had everything we could think of needing. The beds were comfortable. The location was close to everything in Canyon Lake. We will come back!

Great Cottage

My wife, kids (ages 4&6), and I really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was incredibly clean and the kids loved the bunk beds. The walk to the lake was easy. The setting was peaceful and we even saw deer outside our cottage one morning. We would defined recommend to friends and would come back in the future.

Nice quotes place

Lake level was low due to drought the previous year. So little bummed about that as it says water front but all in all a nice place to stay

The Perfect Reprieve

Life has been crazy for us this summer-a mix of hard and good. Who doesn’t need a stylish little cabin to get away to?? From the ambience to the amenities, we loved our experience so much that we already booked a stay, in the very same cabin, for August. The Phyllis Cabin smoothed out the wrinkles of hardship and helped us focus on the joy of the future. We felt privileged to find home in the Hill Country and can’t wait to come back!

Hi there Manuel, Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. We are so sorry that you felt our company was unprofessional. We are also sorry that you welcomed yourself to check into a unit that was not assigned to you with a very large dog which was not disclosed prior to check in. This property is not pet friendly for the safety of our guests. You did not disclose your pet on your rental agreement. Our housekeepers let you know that your unit was not yet prepared for a check in and you welcomed yourself to check into another guest's reserved unit. We worked as diligently as we could to correct the mixed ups that occurred as a result. For future reference, we recommend disclosing all animals and confirming any earlier check in prior to your arrival to a rental property. We would also like to note that we accommodated a refund for the issues that we encountered with that mix up despite the unwelcomed pet, which topically results an eviction with the forfeiture of rent. Thanks! HCPL

Almost Everything was EXCELLENT

The process and communication, the location and lake access, the cleanliness and supplies were all EXCELLENT. I LOVED the location and amenities and they were a steal for the price. My only issue was the couch and bed. To be clear they were clean and adequate and we definitely didn't come to sit inside all day. But the bed made a loud creaking sound when you get in, out, or turn over. The mattress itself was okay, but overall, tt was really not what I'd hoped for. The couch was serviceable, but the wood frame (which was sturdy and nice) was topped only by modest cushions that although they were clean and neat, were definitely not what I'd call comfortable. Would I stay here again? Most likely as it was the best all around option I saw in the area in this price range. Would I recommend it? Definitely, but with those 2 caveats.

We are sorry the mattress and sofa were not to your liking. The sofa was chosen for durability in mind given the proximity to the lake. The owners knew it needed to hold up to possible wet clothes etc. which limited the options. We will definitely pass this on to them for consideration when these items are due to be replaced.

Home Base Christmas Tour

This unit is upgraded so cute! We came for a quick weekend stay to go see lights in the Hill Country. This cottage was the perfect home base. The view of the lake from the window, the deer and the access to the water for the kids was a plus. We went to New Braunfels, Fredericksburg, Johnson City and Boerne. They were all les than an hour away. We had a gret stay!

Great getaway location!!

Great getaway location right on Canyon Lake!! If only the Jacob's Creek Park bank fishing had been better... :-( We're already looking at our calendar for best time to book our next stay, even without prime fishing!!!!!!

Great place for the whole family

Great spot for lake access, swimming and fishing with the family. Bunk beds are full size beds and very strong. Great view and a short walk to the lake. The BBQ pit is heavy duty and will not disappoint. I enjoyed my stay with the little ones.

Adorable boho cabin

As soon as we opened the door we were pleasantly surprised to find the cabin was as advertised . The cabin was decorated well with modern and boho touches . The kitchen was great and loaded with everything you might need . It was very very clean ! The bedroom was great with these large queen mattress bunk beds and a separate queen bed . My 4 year old happily slept on the bottom bunk in the same room . The cabin has literally anything you might need . It’s cozy and comfortable and we loved it enough to want to go there again on another occasion . It was nice walking to the lake and hanging out outside . There’s plenty of deer roaming which was fun to see . The views were great ! I would recommend taking water shoes or Tevas as there are lots of rocks going down near the water . We really enjoyed sitting outside drinking wine and listening to music on the Bluetooth they provide. The location is great too and we were able to make day trips to Austin and Fredericksburg as well . There is a good grocery store near by where you can buy anything you need and a lovely little Italian restaurant as well amongst other things . The only small issue I had was that I wanted to check in earlier and I wasn’t really given an option too . They kept telling me they would notify me the day of and no one ever reached out so we killed time going out to eat at the Italian restaurant. So just know check in is at 4 and unlikely you can check in earlier. I wasn’t super upset about it but when there is some flexibility it’s nice and welcomed . But this cabin is great so don’t hesitate !

Great Weekend getaway

Absolutely perfect for our family's weekend getaway. The cottage was clean and had everything we could possibly need. Short beautiful walk to the lake with a wagon available to use to bring all of our beach needs. Will definitely book and stay again!
