Stepping through the white picket gate into this town home located in the gated Truman Annex community, in the heart of Old Town, you will find old-world charm along with high-end amenities. The open main floor has a beautifully renovated kitchen, a large sectional-sleeper and a 65 inch television. Upstairs are 2 ensuites each with well appointed recently updated full bathroom. A full size washer, dryer and gas grill are available. Just one hundred feet from the pool, this town home boasts 4 separate outdoor spaces. You will find the spot-on location to all Old Town Key West has to offer. An off street parking spot is included.

Great time in the Truman annex

Our place was very nice that we stayed in. Had everything that we needed to be able to cook for ourselves including the grill that came in very handy for a couple of dinners. The pool for this property is fabulous heated I might add just said overall great experience.

Perfect location and home

Two couples who always wanted to experience Key West finally got their act together and booked this home for one week. The quiet location away from the Duval Street highlights was perfect. The shared pool was just a few steps from the lovely back deck. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Ascension's Happy Place

Truman Anex

The condo was clean and convenient to area attractions. However there were a few issues … for the price we wish bikes and beach chairs were included as well as TV’s in the bedrooms . The bed mattress were very hard and uncomfortable . The back French doors were extremely hard to lock as we spent much time on getting them to lock correctly. The pool area and water was unpleasant. Overall we did love the location. Truman Anex grounds were lovely.

The front room’s bed was very noisy every toss & turn during the night. The back bedroom is small so kept hitting knees on the platform bed. It would be nice if the back bedroom had brighter lighting. Those aren’t deal breakers, so I would likely stay there again.

The property was in a great secured location. Fully equipped. Plenty of room for 4 adults. Our complaints: They need to invest in some mattresses and pillows. They were awful !! When booking the townhouse it did not state we had to go to the real estate office to get the keys for check in and return them when checking out. That was a huge inconvenience!

AMAZING Location Super Clean Condo!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family LOVED this rental! 3 doors down from a quiet pool and a short walk to all the shops and restaurants. Quick walk/bike ride to the state park too. Very clean and came with lots of extras in the kitchen (spices/coffee/foil/Ziplocs). I love to cook, so the sharp knives and grill were perfect! The staff at Compass were very accommodating with our requests and questions.Our family will definitely rent this unit again.

Perfect Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time in Key West with a week long stay. Our time at 225 Southard was perfect. The location cannot be beat. We were within walking distance to most things and if not the Duval Bus Loop stop was near. It was close enough for all the Key West action but far enough away in a more quiet community. The condo was well stocked for our needs. And the pool being close was a plus. Our favorite was the outdoor patio for morning coffee. Not having a downstairs 1/2 bath would make it easier for those who were older, but we were able to manage. The upstairs front bedroom was a bit noisy due to it being close to the road but seemed to quiet down after 10pm most nights. We visited during race week and I know Southard is a direct route to the race area. Thus, increasing traffic. In the past I had heard that the gates to the annex are closed to through traffic after 10pm. Maybe this is now not the case.

Truman Annex, a Quiet Oasis So Close to Everything

Only two issues, unit has no downstairs bathroom, pool had very little shade available and water in July very hot. Other than that, the charming, clean, quiet and well-kept spaces were exactly what he hoped for. We would definitely rent again, in a cooler month.

Perfect Location

VERY Spacious first floor, along with a spacious deck in the back, and a small porch on the front. Kitchen was well equipped with all necessities. Two upstairs bedrooms were unfortunately NOT spacious, but each did have a balcony. No TV's in the bedrooms only down stairs. It was necessary to buy toilet paper and paper towels, we stayed a week. A call to the office informed us they only provide these items for ONE night. There was insufficient drawer space in both bedrooms. The closets only had shelving for storage, it was impossible to hang any clothes or garments. The excellent location of this unit is it's biggest asset. We were located just a few steps from the main entrance, and Duval Street was a 10 minute walk. The lack of covered parking was a disappointment.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay Dale. We are aware that the owner decided to not put TV's upstairs and have noted that in the pictures of bedrooms. We always provide a starter kit of paper products and note in the contract that it is for you to buy what you need while you are here. Unfortunately COVID changed a lot of things. Parking is always at a premium in Key West and most is uncovered, but we always provide that luxury of a parking spot with all of our rentals. We hope to host you again in the future!

Well needed vacation!

This property is well located to beaches and Duval street without the noise. Well equipped with anything you might need to cook a meal. Only suggestion would be a grill for barbecuing and lounge chairs on the back patio. Also a fan on the patio would have been awesome. But even without these things it was a great place that we would definitely consider again.

It had everything we needed, except for the beds, they were terribly uncomfortable! My husband and I switched beds and both the beds in each room were very uncomfortable. We would have booked this property again for our trip in the fall if it weren't for the beds. Like I said the property had just about everything we needed and it's in a great location.
