Very spacious for multi-family stay!
Had a wonderful stay while visiting with family from out of state. The house was very charming and in a quiet & peaceful neighborhood. We felt very relaxed and enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again when visiting the beautiful city of St Louis!

Would not recommend
Overall the layout was ok for large group with children and in a good location short drive to all places we wanted to visit. It was equipped with enough of everything you would need. Check in and out was easy and owners were quick to respond. We were told the cleaning crew had just been there before check in. Kitchen and living room areas were clean and nice aside from cobwebs in the windows. The bathrooms were far from clean, the doors were covered in dirty fingerprints and something was going on with the plumbing as there was a foul smell coming from the drains. Dirt and dust filled the cracks in the unstable banister, kids found dead bugs in the hallway. The electricity flickered on and off the entire time no matter if we had one thing plugged in or multiple. The neighbors next door were smoking marijuana and the strong smell was carrying over to our rooms morning and night. It is an old building so we were not expecting state of the art cleanliness, but a thorough cleaning and at the very least a door wipe down would have been ideal.

Disappointing
The property owners were great to deal with, very prompt with responding to inquiries prior to our stay. Beds were very comfy, kitchen very clean and well equipped, and the dining area was a wonderful gathering space for our family (8 adults and a toddler) to play games, hang out and eat. The disappointment was that the carpet was dirty and stained. Even the area rug in the living room under the coffee table was loaded with stains, so gross. Our little guy was playing on the carpet in the upstairs and picked up hair and dirt. The bathrooms could have been cleaner. The upstairs bathtub was dirty. My husband showered and had the unpleasant experience of realizing the dirt was due to a drainage issue, and he was standing in two inches of water by the time he was done showering. This meant we used only the small downstairs shower: 8 adults, one shower. There were less than two rolls of toilet paper. The owners told us after, when I expressed my disappointment with the house, that we could have called as they have a service that would have brought us more toilet paper which would have been great....had we known that was available to us. Not really sure why the cleaning service would not have made sure the bathrooms were properly stocked with toilet paper. The third floor has an outside door to the roof that was completely wide open upon our arrival. My 19 and 22 year old kids slept up there so I wasn't concerned with them "exploring" and there wasn't a ladder, so I was not worried about someone gaining access, but for families with younger kids.....and still, walking into a home and finding a door completely ajar is not ideal. The door does not properly close, even locked you could pull it open. The banister going to the second floor was unsafe. It was loose and the top step, being an old house, is a bit uneven. My disappointment is that the people that stayed a week before us ( I saw this only after our return) mentioned the railing being unstable. I would have thought the owners would have tended to that issue right away, certainly before anyone else was to be staying there or perhaps a warning? I expressed all of this with the owners after our stay, and they were apologetic but at the end of the day, we paid what we felt was a decent amount for a clean, safe house with two full properly operable bathrooms with the essentials and that was not what we got.
