Beach Candy - Beachfront Family-Friendly Home!

Welcome home to Beach Candy, an expansive 2-story beachfront oasis located in Surfside Beach, an unspoiled fishing community conveniently located just south of Houston. The soaring two-story ceiling in this open floor plan provides gorgeous views of the water from almost every room of the house. With a large lot running from Blue Water Highway to the Gulf, guests have their own private drive. This home allows ample outdoor space for families to savor their time with their loved ones.

Family-owned and managed, Beach Candy offers personal touches such as flexible arrival and departure days, beds made upon arrival, and high-quality linens and towels. We provide coffee and tea for that first morning on the beach as well as staples such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, hand soap, and laundry and dishwashing detergent.

At Beach Candy, we provide all that guests desire for an enjoyable day outside and inside. For time at the beach, we supply plastic buckets and shovels, boogie boards, and beach chairs. Visitors can hang out in the expansive yard and play on our built-in washer game court or our bean bag game board. After a day at the beach, Beach Candy offers entertainment options such as high-speed internet, Xfinity cable TV, board games, puzzles, and a collection of books and DVD’s. Visitors will enjoy smart TVs in every bedroom.

One of its most inviting features, Beach Candy's large deck beckons guests with ample chairs and umbrellas. Visitors can walk out on the deck to enjoy the breeze on their face, the beautiful blue water, and the soothing melody of the Gulf waves. For those with small children, guests can close the gate to the stairs to keep the little ones safe. The panoramic view of the Gulf waits 24 hours a day.

Summer is not the only season to visit the coast. The offseason offers empty beaches, more affordable lodging, and an opportunity to enjoy the tranquil surroundings and slower pace without the crowds.

This house is well decorated, feels lovely inside. You can’t beat the option to sit on the patio at sunset. It’s right on the water, easy to send kiddos back and forth and not worry.

Very nice beach front property, we had 7 adults and 5 kids and were very comfortable Amy the owner was great at communicating with us to see if we needed anything or had any questions. The house was well accommodated with all the necessities, plus all the things we needed for time on the beach. Chairs, sand toys and boogie boards. Would most definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Fall Break

Beach Candy was the perfect spot for our relaxing Fall Break beach vaca! The house was just right for 2 families- even 3 small families would fit! The weather was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the beach and the back porch. We will definitely be back again!

Perfect place for your family

Three nice bedrooms plus the three full size bed in the loft made this a perfect set up for our family. Super quick walk to the beach… nice deck to sit out in and enjoy the evenings. Owner was great… easy communication. Highly recommended for your next Surfside stay. 👍

Very nice. Loved beachfront view with crashing waves and breezes but Gulf water is muddy not clear blue. Great walking on beach but Texas beaches are open to the public and cars/trucks are allowed and a few did donuts. Drive in to Surfside was thru a lot of industrial and chemical plants. Did enjoy the stay as not many beachgoers in mid-February and had a quiet relaxing time.

This house was perfect for our family! Plenty of space and fully stocked with plenty of games, puzzles, and beach toys. The beach is just a short walk from the house so it was easy to make trips back and forth when the kids were ready for a break. We are definitely planning on a repeat visit in the future! After driving through Freeport (not so pretty) the beachfront was much better than expected. Clean beach, quiet and private. The house was perfect for what we needed. The owner had communicated well with us so we had no surprises. They checked in via text during our stay, but were not intrusive.

Easy to locate, looked just like the pictures. Clean, nicely decorated, A/C worked awesome in the extreme heat. Kitchen well stocked, very good TV instructions, big chairs on the deck for wave watching. Great suggestions for restaurants for several evening meals. Very very good communication with Amy before and during our stay. We had a lovely time.

Always a fabulous time!!

I can’t say enough good things about Beach Candy! I’m a multi-year renter and have such a great time each year. The house is always clean and beautifully laid out. Kitchen is incredibly well stocked. Tons of places to sit and hang out together both inside and out. Beach location is great. I take my 23 yr old son and his buddies down each year and it’s everyone’s favorite trip. They are great hosts and the consistency of each visit is great! Can’t recommend them enough! Ready to book for next year!

Best Rental Ever!

The most friendly hosts that I have experienced yet. The ease of check in to the easiest check out. The home is very welcoming and doesn't feel like a rental at all! It's as if a family member allowed us to use their home. It was very well equipped with everything you might like to have. The beach views and access was fantastic! Loved the outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Sunrises were amazing! My family and I would love to return. It was a great family vacation!!

Having grown up in Pasadena, I loved to travel to Surfside beach with my family. Along with my grandparents, my aunts, and my mother, we would all pile into our precious one room beach house for the weekend. Immediately upon arriving, we clambered down to the surf to build sandcastles, collect thousands of shells, romp around in the water, and visit on the deck overlooking the Gulf. Preparing the meal was a family affair, as we would all pack into the car together to drive into town to select fresh fish and shrimp for supper. After our feast, as the sun dipped into the horizon behind us, we would cluster around the kitchen table to play cards or watch the tiny, grainy TV. Fully satisfied and a little sunburned, I would fall asleep under an open window, lulled by the sound and smell of the waves. I loved every minute of these weekends and treasure the memories to this day.

After Mike and I married and established our family, we wanted to continue this tradition, nourishing this same love for beach life with our three children. This desire awakened a passion to invest in a house where we could continue to create these wonderful family memories for ourselves as well as for others that come to visit our home.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Returning to Surfside Beach was the only choice for Mike and me. In Surfside, we step back in time. A single road leads in and out of town without a skyscraper or large hotel chain in sight. We relish eating at one of the locally owned restaurants, lingering over savory food as we watch for dolphin in the water. The slow pace in Surfside allows us to relax and embrace the simpler pleasures of spending time together.

With this house, Mike and I possess every item on our beach house wish list. We enjoy beautiful Gulf views from almost every room. We can step out on the spacious deck, listen to the surf, and enjoy a drink as we relax and reconnect with nature. For our family members that have young children, the beach is only steps away so that we may gather on the beach for boogie boarding, sandcastle sculpting, shell collecting, and frolicking in the water. Most importantly, this warm inviting house allows us the opportunity to recapture the slower pace of life as we draw closer to our friends and family. With this beautiful home, we come full circle back to my childhood as we establish more memories with those people most important to us.
