Historisches Linton Postamt

Willkommen im historischen Linton Post Office. Dieses schöne, charaktervolle Gebäude wurde 1880 erbaut und befindet sich im Zentrum der malerischen Gemeinde Linton im Westen von Victoria.

Linton ist eine malerische alte Goldfeldstadt, etwa 25 Minuten westlich von Ballarat und 2 Autostunden von Melbourne entfernt.

Das Postamt hat eine großartige Lage mit einfachem Zugang zum Skipton Rail Trail und Goldfields Track und eine kurze Fahrt zu den benachbarten Landstädten im Westen von Victoria.

Das Postamt wurde von seinem ursprünglichen Zweck in ein komfortables Haus mit drei Schlafzimmern und zwei Wohnbereichen umgewandelt, das bequem Platz für 8 Gäste bietet.

Zwei Schlafzimmer haben Queen-Size-Betten und das dritte Schlafzimmer hat ein Einzelbett plus ein Etagenbett (das untere Etagenbett ist ein Doppelbett und das obere Etagenbett ist ein Einzelbett).
Alle Betten verfügen über Heizdecken, Kissen und Bettwäsche.

Während Ihres Landurlaubs können Sie im geräumigen Wohnbereich eine Reihe von Aktivitäten genießen: Bücher, Filme, Brettspiele oder einfach nur am offenen Feuer entspannen.
Die Küche und der Essbereich bieten allen Komfort von zu Hause. Eine voll ausgestattete Speisekammer mit reichhaltigen Frühstücksartikeln und Zutaten für die Zubereitung einer Mahlzeit am ersten Abend ist vorhanden und kann von der Heizung mit langsamer Verbrennung genossen werden. Eine voll ausgestattete Küche und ein Grillbereich werden Sie nicht enttäuschen.

Historic and homely

We loved our stay here, my first impressions were of how clean the place was, it really felt clean. The Historic Linton Post Office combines a lovely historic home with all the modern day requirements for comfort without ruining its appeal and character.We loved the fire in the kitchen.Having some provisions for breakfast, milk, coffee, (good coffee), and a biscuit available made our trip much easier and we could just get on with enjoying our time.The lounges were comfortable as was the bed and we had the best sleep here.Thanks to Denise for maintaining this lovely place and sharing it with us.

Just a wonderful relaxing place to stay for both you and your pets. Its a real gem of a find!Denise has thought of everything that you could possibly require. The walking trails are so easy to access especially when travelling with dogs. Linton it self is such a lovely village and the locals are so friendly. Ballarat is an easy 20 mins drive away. I would definitely recommend the Historic Linton Post Office for anyone to stay at. I hope to return soon. Thank you again Denise for a wonderful stay.

Country charm

The Linton Post Office is a charming place to stay and we very much enjoyed our stay. The beds are comfortable and the house is very spacious - especially the front room. We were there on a bitterly cold winter's weekend and the fire in the front room was no match for the cold, so we adjourned to the kitchen/dining room where the pot belly stove kept us warm. I would like to return in warmer weather to enjoy the front room - the original post office retail space as it has such charm and comfort. The split system in the hallway also helped with the heating and the electrical blankets very welcome. Denise was a great host - providing information we needed but left us to enjoy the property. The homemade jam was delicious!

Lovely property in a quiet and pretty town

The Linton post office is a spacious and beautifully presented accomodation. The bedrooms were cosy (we needed the electric blankets) and the wood heater kept us warm and happy in the dining room. The town is very quiet and presents a welcome chance to walk and admire wildlife and farm Animals. This was a really lovely place to stay.

Fabulous!

What a lovely and homey place to stay. We were in Ballarat for the basketball tournament over the long weekend. We arrived in Linton to a warm house with the fire burning. Denise was amazing and went out of her way to make everything perfect. The town is just gorgeous and the locals really friendly. There was live music at the pub and a game of pool. Thanks for having us. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here. The old Linton Post Office is perfect for that weekend getaway.

Charming country stop over

Beautifully renovated with excellent amenities. Host was amazing giving recommendations for places to eat and how to easily locate. Lovely stay in the country

Older property with lots of charm. Ballarat is known for it's cool winters and it lived up to this. The wood heater provided lots of warmth and a lovely atmosphere to this rural township dwelling. The kind host provided us with some supplies to begin our stay. I had grown up in a similar home, so it brought back many happy memories. Recommended. Lots to see and do in` Ballarat and surrounds.

Booked this property for a family of 4 visiting from the UK. Everything was perfect . Denise responded quickly to any messages I sent. Check in was simple and house was well set up for a family. Provisions for a simple dinner and breakfast was in the kitchen. I would highly recommend this property.
