Our family lives in Minnesota, and we started coming to Panama City Beach for our 'Spring Break' vacation in the late 1970's. In 1992, my son suggested we purchase a condominium in Panama City Beach since we all can't wait each year to return and sink our toes in the pure white sandy beaches and splash in the gentle emerald water in the Gulf of Mexico.

Now, my children bring their children -- and everyone considers a week at the beach to be the 'best' vacation they ever get to take. I can't wait to get up in the morning, get my coffee and book, and head out to my private balcony and start enjoying the idyllic calmness of beach life!

I have been to beaches all over the world and none compare with Panama City Beach. The soft white sandy beach is never hot on the feet, there are no broken shells or coral to cut your feet, the waves are gentle, and the water temperature is delightful. I also like that the beach is not as crowded as many other areas I have been. Panama City Beach is great for 'family vacations' (which is what I like!), but it has many exciting places for the the young adult crowd to gather and make new friends.

I like being at the most beautiful beach in the world and still being in the continental United States where I can drive my own car, watch my favorite TV shows, shop at my usual stores, and feel very safe. Plus, there are so many fun things to do and great places to eat in Panama City Beach and nothing is more than 8 miles away!

The Regency Towers Resort Condominium is situated directly on the beach. Here are some of its amenities:

During the summer months, entertainment is provided 6 days a week (a big hit with families). Jet skis, parasailing, banana boat rides, and lounge chairs/umbrella rentals available right at the beach in front of the Resort.

You can walk for miles on the white sandy beach. Walk <2 miles to St Andrew's Park (Florida's most visited State Park), fish off the jetties or the pier. Take a boat tour to Shell Island in search of those perfect shells.

There are several golf courses within just a couple of miles (Marriott Bay Point has an 18-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus and Signal Hills Golf Course also has 18-holes).

For the kids, there is bungee jumping, arcades, go-cart tracks, mini-golf (some with black lights), haunted houses, mazes, arcades, a sky coaster ride, batting cages, a Ripley's elieve It or Not Ship (attraction), and WonderWorks. There is also a Dune Buggy Park attraction about 6 miles from our Resort. A Marine Park where you can swim with the dolphins. ZooWorld Zoological and Botanical Conservatory, Bear Creek Feline Center (BCFC) is home to Florida wildcats and exotic felines.

There are so many restaurants that you will have a hard time picking which one to go to -- but they are all good!!

--The waves are gentle so you can actually spend hours in the water
