Furnished nicely!

Unit was very nice and the kitchen was well equipped. It is beach front and provided a great view of the ocean. It is located in the middle of the island and very close to the beach club. The owner was very easy to work with.

Amazing View

Our family of 4 children 7 and 4 throughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The ocean view and getting to see deer walk the property is enjoyable for all of us. The owner was excellent to deal with and make sure our stay was everything we wanted. The kitchen is very well stocked, we cooked all our meals. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and spacious! I would highly recommend this property and we will certainly be back.

Fripp Trip

We really enjoyed our stay at Fripp. We’ve stayed at this condo many times. It is very conveniently located to the beach and dog friendly. Joanne, the owner, is responsive. Our only complaint is the bed in the master is very uncomfortable but she’s agreed to take care of it. We will be back.

A hidden gem

Fripp’s Island is a ideal getaway for families. It is a quiet beach with lots of room and the Resort has all you need. Just park and stay. The condo was just as advertised and we loved that our pups could be with us. Could not have asked for more.

Best Location on Fripp Island

Second straight year staying at this property, and making plans for a 3rd. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen is nicer than ours at home! Centrally located to everything on the island. Private pool and private beach access along with a storage shed for beach equipment. Can’t wait to go back!

Location, location, location

Ocean view, right at the beach, sunrise and sunset spectacular. Magical setting. Fripp is a very special place. One resident told us, “There’s not much to do here, and that’s how we like it.” That sums it up well. And the condo fully met all of our needs. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great stay on Fripp

Home from another wonderful stay on Fripp Island. This was our second stay at this condo. It is very comfortable, has great views, and is so close to the beach, the beach club and pools. The owner is wonderful to work with and was responsive to any questions we had. We appreciate that amenity cards are included, which meant my husband was able to golf every day! Great getaway!

perfect 2 bedroom condo

I recently stayed at a wonderful 2-bedroom oceanfront condo and wanted to share my review. The condo was not only nice and clean, but it also offered a convenient location right by the beach. The proximity to the ocean made it easy to enjoy the beautiful views and access the beach whenever we wanted. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Perfect Fripp Trip

Our stay was perfect! We’ve been to Fripp Island many times, over the last 20 years, staying at various locations. This location was, by far, our favorite. Beach access at all times, private pool, center island (making it convenient), quiet, and awesome view. The condo was very nice, well stocked, and plenty of room for our family of five…plus our miniature long haired dachshund. Our host, JoAnne, was great…very responsive and took great care to make sure our stay was comfortable. We will definitely book with her again.

Beach front beauty

Loved the location! Could see the ocean from the balcony of the unit. Close to central island amenities- adult pool (with live bands), Olympic pool, arcade, gift shop, and small store. Kitchen has been updated nicely with upgraded appliances and marble countertop. One assigned parking space located near unit. Short walk to the beach through the complex courtyard. Unit has a pool shared among the complex (highest depth is approx. 8 feet).

Fripp Island May 2024 week

The condo was fine and close to a number of amenities. The HVAC system needs to have a de-humidifier as the bathrooms and entire upstairs stayed at around 85-90% humidity when the A/C was not down to around 68 degrees. The condo is very close to the "entertainment" next door and going to bed early is not an option. The kitchen is well equipped and enjoyed cooking our meals there. Having a pet friendly policy is also nice to be able to take our aging dog and enjoy some walks on the beach.

Great Property

Nice and clean property. Very close to the beach, 3 swimming pools and a food court. Property is close to the Sandbar (a bar) that played loud music that could be heard inside the property until late at night a few nights during our stay. Property owner was very responsive and friendly. We loved the view from the balcony and enjoyed the deer and private beach. The only thing that wasnt enjoyable was waiting almost an hour on the bridge to check in as check in must be the same for everyone staying on the island. Early check in would be appreciated next time or have staggered check in so that everyone isnt arriving at the same time. Overall we would stay here again.

Thanksgiving at the beach

We needed to be in Beaufort over Thanksgiving week and know staying at the beach is worth the drive! We picked this property because of the location (perfect for easy beach access) and it is pet friendly. We had the entire place very nearly to ourselves, which made it nice and quiet. The appliances are fantastic and the bathrooms are beautiful and seem to have been recently updated. The soft furnishings could be updated (sheets, towels, mattresses) and I wished that I had my Dyson stick vac several times. I bought an amenity card, but never used it. Also, the grassy areas have stickers, which we didn’t know until our pooch had a pawful. We had a wonderful week and enjoyed our time on Fripp.

Review

Overall, great location. The property was not very clean. We had to do a lot of sweeping and tidying up once we arrived. The outside porch was covered with dead bugs, spider webs and debris in the corners. We did not sit out on the porch once due to this. We had a stain on our sheets in the master bedroom and had to wash them after we arrived. Many of the dishes had bits of food on them. Loved the area that the condo was in but felt the property could’ve been better.

Beach relaxation

The owner is very pleasant, responsive and great to speak with. Personal touch by calling and emailing me directly. Villa was great location to beach access and to the beach club pool and property pool. The deer were the BEST experience and I took advantage of petting the young buck! Villa is updated and cute. Nice furniture in living area for relaxing. Wonderful sliding doors for taking in the the view and the small balcony was nice for morning coffee. Excellent AC system. Kitchen is updated and appliances worked well. Bedrooms are spacious and blinds on the windows were great for keeping out that direct light coming up in the morning. Mattress could have been a little more comfortable. Only suggestion would be to provide a few beach towels and a starter roll of paper towels. It is a small thing but I am used to those being provided and didn’t buy those on our way onto the island. Overall great experience!

Not a refreshing place to stay.

The best thing about this condo was the view and the updated bathrooms. Beyond that I struggle to mention anything positive. The condo was not clean when we arrived. Before we could unload our groceries we had to throw away the food from the previous renter. The drawers in the bathroom had a used bar of soap and as well as toiletries from a previous renter. Several lamps had no light bulbs. Dirty cleaning rags were left in a pile in the laundry room with open cleaning products on the shelf. The kitchen was the worst room in the condo. We had to call the owner to have spoons brought to us as well as serving bowls. Several items were rusted and unusable. Only two eyes on the 25 year old stove worked. The air vents were thick with dust (hopefully not mold) and the whole place felt dirty. We have stayed on Fripp 17 years and have never had such a bad experience.

great beach - terrible condo

This was our families first stay at Fripp Island. We loved the Island and plan to return in the future! The villa is conveniently located next to the Beach Club where we could walk over and get coffee in the morning and ice cream in the evening. The only problem was the villa itself. It was so dirty when we arrived that we had to have the maid come back. It looked like she hadn't vacuumed at all and the baseboards were covered in dog hair! Unfortunately, she never could get it very clean because the vacuum she had didn't work well and had no attachments! We just had to try and overlook the dirty steps, furniture, and baseboards. It was obvious under the beds and furniture hadn't been cleaned in ages. There were even food wrappers on the floor. The only thing that has been updated is the master bathroom which was very nice. The rest of the house is poorly decorated, has old furniture, appliances and linens. The beds were very uncomfortable and are long overdue for new mattresses. The sheets were old and uncomfortable and the bath towels were very old and mismatched. We were afraid to sit on the couch without something underneath us (like a towel or blanket) because it was so sandy and dirty. It was hard to relax because we couldn't get comfortable on the furniture so we just stayed outside as much as possible. It is sad that the owners don't put some time and effort into maintaining what should be a beautiful property in a prime location. We had a wonderful week on the Island itself including a sunset cruise where we saw many dolphins. We really enjoyed Bonitas Boathouse restaurant and ate their twice. I would definitely recommend Fripp Island but absolutely not this property.

Wonderful Stay

We loved our stay at Fripp. The condo was as described and the view was beautiful! I loved having my coffee on the balcony each morning. The condo is right next to the resort club, so if there’s music at night, it can be loud; but the convenience of everything was great. We would love to stay here again.
