Perfect place for a family getaway!

We had a wonderful time at this vacation rental home near Bethany Beach. The house was spacious and clean, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the central air conditioning, the washer and dryer, and the private patio. The location was great too - just a few miles from Bethany Beach and close to many other beaches in the area. We also enjoyed spending time at Bethany Beach Boardwalk, and the beach.

Felt like home

Great stay!

This was our first time staying outside of the town of Bethany, and it was a wonderful experience! The house was more clean than many properties in town, and it was a welcome change from the sticky counters at other rentals… we were so thankful it was not like that here! The biggest bummer was the lack of an outdoor shower or rinsing station. That would make this place even better, though this is officially our favorite rental in many, many years. We stayed at this property recently, and had stayed next door before so were very familiar with the development and the properties.The home is a 4-star home. The layout is good, it's pretty up-to-date, well-equipped, and the furnishings are nice.We gave this 3 stars, because of the management and hosting experience, and a misleading listing regarding what's included with the property.There are multiple layers of management involved with this property,:a hosting company (Evolve) and a separate property management company. This caused confusion and frustration about the towels and bed linens that the property listing stated are included with the property. After contacting the hosting company to confirm, it took more than 2 weeks for them to get back to me, and then they said that towels/linens aren't included. I showed them a screen shot of the listing, and it took another week for someone to get back to me, saying that they don't deal with that, the prop mgmt co does. All in all, it took 4 weeks and texting with the property management company to get the towels/linens confirmed. And those, and several "included essentials" weren't at the house when we checked in.The total host fees for the booking (on top of the per-night fees, and not including the VRBO service fee) was much higher than other properties. This included a property mgmt company "property damage protection" charge that is never refunded, and seemed to be a way to add an additional charge.

Large townhouse

Although our stay was nice, I feel it necessary to share my experience regarding the linens....I was very surprised to be contacted by the property management company and told that I HAD to rent all the bedroom sheets from a third-party vendor or my reservation would be cancelled. This is NOT what was listed in the property description on VRBO (it says you CAN rent them) so be prepared to have that added expense. Now the comforters and pillow shams are not rental items, they are provided. I am not sure there is logic in having to rent sheets but still sleeping with pillows and comforters that are provided? Hopefully the comforters and pillows are laundered after each use??!!! If your washing comforters and shams after every turn over, why wouldn't you just wash the sheets you provide as well? Seems very weird to have to rent sheets but comforters are provided? There were no toiletries of ANY kind provided. Other than these drawbacks, it was a very convenient house for family members of all ages.

What we enjoyed about the place: very clean, very spacious, location. Decorated nicely, full stocked kitchen, great back yard. Agent or house contact was easy to reach and responded quickly. Close to everything will definitely return. Our only issues: air fresheners were too overwhelming for asthma/allergy sufferers. We had to unplug them. There was no lock on master bedroom door. Adults need to be able to lock the door. And the the master bedroom closet was not available to us. Yes there was small rack in the corner but it was not sufficient for our dresses. Luckily we did not utilize the kids room and was able to use that space for our outfits and suitcases. Beside these issues the place was great. Saw in a previous review about noise...which was not a concern. You heard something ever now and then but no reason not to stay here. Neighbors very friendly. Check in/check out piece of cake. Like I said this place was almost perfect! And will stay again...

Convenient location - very spacious!

The property is exactly as described. I would heed the other reviews which were also accurate: the trucks unloading at Giant and other stores are constant and loud, especially in master. But - we're heavy sleepers and after the 1st night it didn't bother us. The coffee machine also still needs to be descaled. Otherwise the kitchen is a great layout with many handy tools. I would lose the electric can opener and giant toaster oven to open more counter space, I would definitely add a foot stool/ladder of some kind b/c upper cabinets are hard to access, and I'd add tongs (but I just stabbed our corn with a grilling fork). These are just minor/personal preference things - it's generally a really functional kitchen and well laid out. It's about 4 miles to the beach, and it's a straight shot in - so while there's some traffic it's an easy commute. I highly recommend avoiding grocery stores on Saturday (I forgot). Or just run in for a few things- it's super convenient and a short walk. Unexpected bonus- I did not realize there was a small pool in this quiet and friendly complex. An outdoor pre-shower site + real bathrooms make it a fantastic little spot. We only used it once - but it was awesome. All around- a great stay. We rent somewhere different every year, and we missed having an outdoor shower- but this is definitely on the list of places we'd stay again!

Problems at rental site

The house was nice, but every night we heard trucks unloading their goods at the stores right behind this property. Strip mall and Giant about 100-125 feet to rear. this noise went on all night and made it difficult to sleep! Had to ask for a new Door Entry Code since the one we were given did not work well. Bethany Beach was bizarre with trench like effect close to ocean. Quick drop off on entering the surf. Dewey beach much nicer. Major difficulty getting food venues or even a pizza= !st night took 4 hrs to get a pizza after 4 attempts. Will not visit here again. Peter

Beautiful condo and great location! Was a bit pricey compared to other places and even just other weeks during the course of the year. My only complaint was that I called evolve vacation rentals to let them know of 3 minor things that needed fixing and was told someone would be out by the next day latest but no one ever came during our week visit plus I was concerned that they might think these issues were possibly my fault which is why I called within 2 hours of check in....other than that we loved it!

Beautiful property!

Great, spacious property that’s perfect for a larger family. Close to supermarket and conveniently located near quiet Bethany beach. Property could use some minor work. For example, bunk bed was wobbly and I did not feel comfortable using the top bunk for my child. Coffee maker light showed that it hasn’t been descaled for a while, dressers in bedroom had scratches. Very minor adjustments but overall well maintained property. Would recommend and stay again.

Vibrant, Beautiful Home!

I truly am enjoying my stay in this gorgeous home. The pictures don’t do it justice - it’s so nice that I wish I could live here! All amenities listed were available, and beaches, restaurants and other activities are a short drive away! Very nice pool. Jeff, our guest contact, has been very helpful and responsive to all questions and needs we had. I will definitely be back very soon!

The house was beautiful and inviting. All the amenities were there. The property contact was very helpful and responsive. And everything was was within a 30 min drive. I look forward to my future stay :)
