Hi Jessica: Thank you for the amazing review. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. We felt compelled to reply to your comment about check-out instructions. The check out instructions are automatically triggered in our software for all of our 70 homes to be sent 24 hours prior to departure, that would be the morning of the day before you leave. In fact, sometimes we have Guests complain that even a day before is too early. All that said, we appreciate the input. We just didn't want it to mislead future Guests. Hi Alyson: We are absolutely thrilled that you enjoyed the home and all of the amenities and features that both the Homeowner and Management Company strive to include to create a memorable Guest experience. It's fantastic that you were able to use so many of the Resort's amenities, especially in what is typically a colder off-season. Regarding the forms and requirements, we too wish there could be less. North Carolina is one of the highest regulated real estate and vacation rental markets in the country. We have document mandates from the State of North Carolina, Town of Lake Lure, and the Resort community where you stayed. Each have their own requirements for the distribution of documents and collection of information. The VRBO documents executed by Guests do not meet the standards set forth by the State of North Carolina. Regarding printing driving directions, you are correct that the address works fine by GPS in a major airport. The reason we have your print out the directions is because Lake Lure has terrible cell service and some Guests will depend on GPS 100% of the way. When they lose service, the lose directions and get lost in the dark. Thus we advise you print them beforehand. Regarding check-in instructions, I reviewed your reservation and email history. Check in instructions were indeed emailed to you the day prior to check in, which is the normal procedure that was outlined in all your correspondence once you booked the home. I remember you sent us a screen shot of your Guest Happy Stays app looking for the directions there, but all our prior correspondence to you instructed to check email for the check in instructions. All that said, I'm extremely happy to hear you felt our staff was "always great to respond quickly" to help you with those logistics. We typically don't leave sheets in the home for the pull out couch, as most Guests don't use them and they would go "stale" sitting in a closet or drawer. Had we known beforehand you wanted them, they would have been awaiting your arrival. Again, we are happy to hear our Housekeepers delivered them immediately for you. After every stay, the Housekeeping Inspector is required to submit photos of every room. Those inspection photos attached to your reservation had clear vacuum tracks. However, we don't want to second guess your opinion. Just as with the sheets, if you would have called, we would have immediately dispatched a Housekeeping Team to rectify any deficiencies. The rag and spray we will just need to admit was human error. We strive for perfection, but sometimes make minor blunders. Hopefully that didn't cause too much inconvenience.
