Host was attentive. House needed maintenance. Carpet was very, very dirty. Master bath curtain rod needed reset.The water pressure in the Master bath shower was minimal. Towels were very gray and looked dirty. They were also very hard.

The place was really nice and inviting, and we felt right at home during our stay. The only hiccup was that the oven and microwave weren’t working because of a possible blown fuses, so we couldn’t use them. Other than that, everything else was great and we truly enjoyed our time there!

A great vacation Oxnard beach rental for 6 nights for our family of 10. Clean, comfortable, & well stocked. Includes laundry, pool table, & beach equipment. Beach a short walk and very few people. Our group had a great time, and would love to return.

The property is beautiful and the location in nice. But the kitchen was dirty, there was food in the utensil trays, and there were ants on the counter. Reaching out to the owner regarding these issues was met with rudeness. I recommend you keep looking.

Great location. Every year we do a family beach vacation, this home was large enough for the 11 of us plus allowed us to bring our 2 small dogs. Each family had there own bedroom and bathroom. Perfect for us.

Great house close to beach

We had a great stay here, house has plenty of room, great parking, washer and dryer. If you love reading they have plenty of book options and some fun family games to play. There are bikes, a wagon and boogie boards. Plenty of linens, so no need to pack beach towels. There are camping chairs which was also very nice to bring to the beach.

We do an annual family beach trip, to celebrate my husband's birthday. This house is a gem. It accommodates our family with the 4 bedrooms and baths plus allows my son to bring his two small puppies. Its a short walk to the beach. Stores are close by if you need anything. This is our second time here and we will continue to come as long as its available.

The house is beautiful, great kitchen, lots of room. Owner Robert is very nice, very responsive. Only thing that keeps it from rating five stars is the furniture in the first floor living room, namely the sofa bed which should be replaced.

Stayed here for a week (July 11-17th) and we had an awesome time! The host is very responsive and easy to communicate with. There were only 6 of us and we had plenty of room. With 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths everyone had their personal space. We didn’t have any problems during our stay. The house is stocked very well with just about anything you need to have a great vacation. Plenty of house towels and beach towels. The kitchen has plenty of plates, cups, bowls, utensils etc. There are games and books for family fun. We enjoyed a few games of pool in the downstairs great room. It’s only about a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet, we did chat with a few locals on our walks and everyone was really nice. We did love being able to open the large doors on the first and second floor and let that cool ocean breeze in! The beds are pretty firm but so are most hotel beds so not a big deal. We had a great time and would definitely love to stay here again!

Family summer trip

Very good location, walking distance to a clean sandy beach. Close driving distance to stores and restaurants. House is very nice, spacious with lots of amenities: cookware, dinnerware, utensils and glasses; towels and bedding all plentiful. Only the paper goods (toilet tissues and paper towels) were not enough for a 4 night stay.

Great location and large home!

The home is very large and in a great location. Can walk to the beach! Large kitchen with everything you should need. Pool table and game room downstairs. Plenty of seating in the open areas. Comfy couches. -the house could’ve been cleaner. Dirty carpet from spills, some dust and even a dead bug. The house really sleeps 9 adults I think. We ran out of dish soap right away and had to buy some and paper towels. We had an issue with the smoke alarm but it was resolved with the owner. Upstairs beds (not master) need to be replaced. Uncomfortable and cheap. Overall a very good stay!

Could have been better

Not thoroughly cleaned. Carpet in the dining room had pet stains and smelled. The outside sitting areas had not been swept or cleaned. The exterior glass had not been cleaned in quite some time.Maintenance appeared to have been deferred. The ice maker never worked. The internet provider called and said the service would be terminated due to lack of payment. The master bath tub had a sign warning of leaks. The internal workings of one of the toilets broke. The bathroom curtain was held up with safety pins.There were two garages. We were told we could use the empty one, but we were given the garage door opener for the one we couldn't use.

Loved Oxnard Shores from the first trip here. Huge beach, no crowds, lots to do around here. Boat trips to Islands, whale watching, jet ski rentals, two main harbors minutes away, golf, wine tasting, many restaurants with entertainment, kids friendly environment, bicycle rental nearby.
