Geh weg von der Autobahn! Die Silver Willows "Ursa" Kabine ist eine der neuesten Mietkabinen der Region und wurde im Herbst 2016 fertiggestellt.

Ursa, oder "The Bear", ist die Schwesterkabine von Silver Gates bestbewertetem Mietobjekt Sarva ("The Moose", VRBO # 316248). Diese Hütte befindet sich auf der östlichen Wiese eines 4 Hektar großen Grundstücks, das im Westen und Norden von Kiefern und Espen gesäumt ist. Soda Butte Creek ist nur einen Steinwurf entfernt. Hohe Kiefern sorgen für Privatsphäre zwischen den beiden Kabinen. Die Unterkunft befindet sich an der Südseite von Soda Butte Creek, sodass Sie nicht in der Nähe des Autobahnverkehrs durch die Stadt sind.

Diese Kabine bietet bequem Platz für 4 Personen (1 Queensize-Bett, 2 Doppelbetten) und eine zusätzliche Luftmatratze für einen fünften Gast. Bitte beachten Sie, dass ein fünfter Gast die Gebühr für zusätzliche Personen in Höhe von 30 USD pro Nacht berechnet.

Ursa befindet sich in der kleinen Stadt Silver Gate in Montana, 1,6 km außerhalb des nordöstlichen Eingangs des Yellowstone-Nationalparks und 4,8 km von Cooke City entfernt. Das Silver Gate / Cooke City Gebiet ist beliebt bei Wolfsbeobachtern (das Lamar Valley ist nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt!) und Parkbesucher, die dem Trubel der größeren Grenzstädte entfliehen möchten, sowie Wintersportler, die die Erholungsmöglichkeiten in den Beartooth Mountains nutzen möchten.

Die Unterkunft Silver Willows liegt abseits der Autobahn auf einem 4 Hektar großen Waldgebiet, das von Soda Butte Creek begrenzt wird, der durch die Unterkunft auf dem Weg in den Yellowstone-Nationalpark verläuft. Diese Kabine bietet Platz für bis zu 4 Personen auf einem Queensize-Bett (im Hauptschlafzimmer) und 2 Einzelbetten (im Dachgeschoss), alle mit Memory-Schaum-Matratzen. Es ist eine großartige Option für kleinere Gruppen und Familien, während größere Gruppen die Sarva-Kabine in Betracht ziehen können.

Da sich die Unterkunft südlich der Autobahn befindet, haben Schneemobilfahrer einen schnellen Zugang zum Bannock Trail und können direkt von der Unterkunft in die Rodelgebiete im Hinterland fahren. Im Jahr 2016 haben wir zusätzliche Trailer-Parkplätze auf dem Grundstück für diejenigen, die in ihren Schlitten ziehen, hinzugefügt.

Our stay at this mountain cabin was an absolute dream, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the serenity of the location was profound. Tucked away amongst the towering trees, the cabin felt like a private, secret paradise with a few cabins just near enough to create the safe feeling of "neighbors just in case." The soft, melodic sound of the creek just steps from the porch was a constant, calming soundtrack to our entire trip. A really nice place. Not as secluded as it looks in the pictures, but it’s a small little town and everything is just kinda all together. The cabin is really nice and homey and has everything you could need for cooking . And you will want to cook because there isn’t much as far as restaurants go. But it’s by far the most beautiful entrance to Yellowstone.

Lovely cabin in the woods

I spent 4 nights in this house a short drive down a gravel road from the highway. There are several adjacent properties but all are partly screened by trees and it is a quiet neighbourhood. The inside of the property has comfortable and good quality furnishings' and appliances and is very clean. It is about a mile from the entrance to Yellowstone National Park, and this is one of the quiet entrances so no waiting in line!. I greatly enjoyed my stay here and I would happily book this property again.

Wonderful family vacation

We came to see and explore Yellowstone. We were able to do so easily with the location of the cabin so near the Northeast entrance. The cabin was beautiful, clean, well equipped and comfortable. The proximity to the Soda Butte Creek through the property was amazing and the kids loved being able to explore the property and sandbar. The property owners, Max and Jenn, we’re incredibly kind and helpful. They provided information on sites around/ near town. Overall visit was absolutely fantastic.

Cabin Near Yellowstone Entrance

This cabin was exceptionally clean and very well stocked. The kitchen was beautiful and equipped with newer, modern amenities. We brought coffee, extra toilet paper, paper plates, and other basics—but there was no need. The hosts had thoughtfully supplied everything we needed (aside from perishables).The living area had a comfortable new L-shaped sofa, and the bed was also very comfortable.A few things to note: the listing description could use an update. There were cabins on three sides, separated by a few trees. Due to overgrowth, we couldn’t see or access Soda Butte Creek from the cabin, which was a disappointment. It wasn’t clear which parts of the four acres were available to explore, as cabins seemed to occupy most of it. Out of respect for the privacy of neighboring guests, we didn’t wander far. It appeared that two neighboring cabins had creek access.That said, we would definitely stay here again. Silver Gate’s proximity to Yellowstone is unbeatable—we never waited more than two car lengths to enter the park. Most mornings we entered around 6 a.m. and drove straight in. Lamar Valley was quiet and peaceful at that hour.Also, don’t miss the Beartooth Scenic Drive—absolutely breathtaking!

Yellowstone Spring Getaway

Wonderful 6 night stay in this beautiful "cabin" nestled in the woods by Soda Butte creek. Such a treat being literally minutes away from our favorite part of YNP...Lamar Valley. Cabin exactly as described but even better when you step in. We love Cooke City and Silver Gate (our third visit to this area plus a few more elsewhere around Yellowstone). Finding Max and Jen's cabin makes it even better. The thought and detail they put into their place is really special. Everything that one would need and more. We really appreciated the awesome photos of nature and whimsical artwork displayed throughout the home. I believe we've found a place that we'd return to with our next visit to YNP.

Cozy cabin in great location

We stayed 5 days in September, the cabin is well appointed, comfortable and clean. The ladder to the loft could be an issue for some but I don't know how it could be laid out any better. A great home base for exploring Yellowstone. We were not able to find a trail to the creek, it was overgrown/could use a weed wacking. Not a big deal since the weather was not ideal for outside sitting. We did enjoy the front porch when we could and loved seeing the lone bison come by. There are neighbors but we did not see or hear anyone. The other cabin on the property is near but there are trees in between, so no issues with privacy. I would recommend this property to others.

Wonderful Stay

I could go into great detail but to sum it up, this is easily the best host and one of the rare as advertised VRBO rentals we have ever stayed at. Max goes well above and beyond expectations to make sure you know what you are getting into, what you need, best airport to fly into, routes to take etc etc etc. He communicated with us early and often and seemed to genuinely care that we were prepared so we could have the best stay possible. Silver Gate and Cook City are amazing little communities with surprisingly good eateries. There is a trailhead at the end of the gravel road the property is on. Our best day there we never got in the car. We hit the foot trail that took us into the park for several miles and came out at warm creek about a mile from Silver Gate. That was an amazing journey. We would absolutely recommend this property or the one Max has next door.

Even better than anticipated

Pictures show a very nice cabin, but it was even bigger and nicer than I expected. The kitchen was very well appointed, had everything we needed. The owners did not skimp on any amenities, and in fact, supplied the unexpected (shampoo, shower gel). Super clean (thank you, Jessie), super nice, and super owners (easy communication). We really enjoyed the well-stocked movies, books, games, and Max's amazing photography. We had need of nothing. My children didn't want to leave. Beautiful property. My favorite was watching wildlife from the porch. Soda Butte Creek was only about 40 ft from the porch. It runs too fast (early June) to fish, but I would expect good fishing later in the summer. A lone bison grazed every morning next door (we referred to him as Barry). I was really bummed that we never saw a moose in the park, but on our return to the cabin the last night, there was one in the yard! Happy danced again the next morning as we were packing up because we saw a mama moose and her calf across the creek. We would definitely stay here again, and I'm already recommending it to everyone I know😊

Perfect Cabin in Perfect Location

We have stayed at many VRBO homes in the past and this one does not follow the trend of not living up to the photos. This cabin actually was way better than the photos and descriptions would show. The owners go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need. The appliances and mattresses were top quality (in fact my husband regrets not trying to find out the brand of mattress because he slept so well). We loved the gas fireplace and tankless hot water heater. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and was even stocked coffee, tea, condiments, etc. I chose the cabin mainly because of the location, which did not disappoint either. We enjoyed coffee on the porch, watching Soda Butte Creek and walking down to the water. One morning a moose and calf were wading by. The towns of Silver Gate and Cooke City were perfect quaint mountain towns to explore. We enjoyed the small businesses and restaurants there, as well as the constantly dominant mountain views. The proximity to the NE Entrance of Yellowstone NP was the real value. It’s our favorite part of the park to visit. We hiked several trails and saw a lot of wildlife (bears, goats, eagles, elk, wolves, etc.). We hated to leave this cabin and location. It was one of the best accommodations and locations we’ve had the pleasure of visiting.

Jenn and Max are based in Seattle, but were annual visitors to Yellowstone for many years before choosing to build a cabin near the park. Max's work as a nature photographer drew him to the natural wonders of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and the cabin was "a really good excuse to visit more often."

We were very fortunate to find a property that was so close to the park, is filled with trees, has mountain views and even has Soda Butte Creek running through it on the way to the park. It really felt like being in Yellowstone despite technically being outside the park boundary. Seeing moose grazing in our willows or spying one of the town foxes hunting in the meadow really makes us feel at home in nature. Even when we're tucked inside, we're constantly peeking out the window to see if any of our wild neighbors have come by to say hello.

We're excited to offer this new second cabin as an option for smaller families and groups. The cabin is in a great spot. Positioned on the opposite side of the creek from the highway, our guests are able to enjoy a fair bit of peace and quiet. There's also a stand of trees in between the two cabins, so concurrent groups can maintain privacy. During winter, visitors can ski out from the cabin, or ride their snowmobiles onto the Bannock Trail up to Cooke City and the backcountry. With so much of the property growing wild, we love going for peaceful walks along the creek, brushing past the moose's favorite willows and walking beneath the pine trees as woodpeckers tap away and squirrels gather food.
