Excellent stay in Atlantic Beach!

My mom, our dogs, and I had a lovely time staying at The Pineapple Place in Atlantic Beach. It was walking distance from the beach, restaurants and a local brewery, which we loved! Check-in and check-out were very easy and Patrick was extremely responsive to any questions we had. We can’t wait to come back!

Great place to stay!

This is a great little place to stay! It had everything we needed. Close to the beach, quick drive to Morehead City so husband could scuba dive, nice deck. Loved that it was dog friendly. Patrick, the owner, was awesome and so accomodating when we had a small changes of plans. Highly recommend!

Mother and son beach trip.

We had an excellent stay at the pineapple house. I can't think of any amenities that were not available to us and the house was clean and comfy. The beach and restaurants were just a short walk away and the locals were all very friendly. I would definitely recommend to others looking for a vacation rental.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, cozy, and just as pictured. The large deck became our favorite hangout, perfect for grilling and unwinding after a beach day. One of the highlights was watching the 4th of July fireworks right from the deck. It was absolutely beautiful and felt so special!!The outdoor hose and shower were super convenient, especially after sandy adventures - for both us and our pup.The location was perfect for walking to the beach and exploring nearby shops and restaurants.Also, a big shoutout to Patrick, who was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Everything about the experience was easy, fun, and peaceful. We’d absolutely love to come back!

Fantastic Home and Location

Booked through Hotels.com but hoping to leave an additional review on this site. Beautiful property located within walking distance to circle, restaurants, and beach. Patrick reached out to us prior to check in to make sure everything was ok and to give us more information about the property and made sure everything went smoothly for us.. The condo was amazing and it had everything we needed. Eric and I enjoyed out stay very much and I highly recommend staying at this property. We will definitely be booking with Patrick again soon!!

Perfect Getaway!

My kids and I have been vacationing in Atlantic Beach for 15 years. We owned a cottage down in AB but sold it this year and we were looking for a place to rent for the 4th of July. Pineapple Place felt like a home away from home for us. The hosts, Patrick and Amy, were so friendly and accommodating, and they made sure we had everything that we needed for our stay.The deck was just perfect! There is a constant breeze no matter the time of day, and the location is convenient for everything! The outdoor shower was refreshing after a day at the beach and our Golden Retriever had a great time as well! Our family highly recommends Pineapple Place for anyone looking to vacation in the Southern Outer Banks!

Delightful place in a perfect location, just one drawback

We very much loved our stay here, overall. The large deck is perfect for that morning coffee or to enjoy dinner from the grill, and the inside is very quaint and relaxing, just as the photos show. The location is incredible-- beach access is just a 2 minute walk! The owners were super friendly by text, check in was easy, and we were very pleased. The only drawback is that the shower is either broken or intentionally throttled so that it cannot go above mild lukewarm (the lever won't let you turn it beyond half way). The other sinks have normal hot water, so it's specific to the shower. If this were changed/fixed, the place would be one I highly recommend, but I probably would not rent it again unless the problem were corrected.

Window air conditioners won’t cool the unit

A/c not large enough to cool it. Front door fell off the bottom hinge when I opened it . Rotten doorframe. Pet hair everywhere. Unit was not clean on arrival.

The window units were recently replaced, with one in each bedroom and two in the main living areas. We are currently on the waiting list to have a permanent mini-split system installed.-The front door has been repaired. The bottom screws, which were stripped, have been replaced.-As a pet-friendly home, it can be challenging to remove all pet hair from couches, rugs, and other areas. Depending on the dog breed and the length of their stay, it may take a few cleanings to fully address this issue. If there were any other issues regarding cleanliness, please provide specific details so we can address them appropriately with our cleaning staff.Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. This unit was in a good location with parking for two cars per unit and it was clean. The unit itself has a good layout and adequate amenities. Loved the deck! However, the window A/C units barely kept the condo cool enough, even for a cold natured person such as my husband, who actually complained about the warmth. As a hot natured person I struggled with it. I also did not care for the closed in feel that comes with blocking half of the already small windows with these units. We never could get the TV to work, but it was not a major issue since we had a full family schedule of events for my husband's aunt's 90th birthday. According to a note in the condo information booklet, there is an issue with receiving cable TV service in the area. We had our phones and PCs to keep us in touch and entertained during our limited down time. I'd like to say I'd rent this unit again, but will not unless the A/C situation is remediated with a split system that offers more efficient, effective and less obtrusive cooling and heating.

Cleanliness

Was an adorable house. Loved the porch but could have done a better job of cleaning we believe. We found some things there that were not too appealing such as what we thought was a feminine pad behind bed all balled up, then we were not notified that there were ant and bug traps underneath beds and one out in the open beside toilet which our dog got into. Thank God she did eat it and we caught her. Sofa smelled putrid. Pulled out cup holder on chair outside, and someone’s fake nails were in up holder. Piece of hair on wall in shower. Underneath lid on toilet, looked to be a drop of urine. We notified owner and property manager. I cleaned after finding all this and disinfected. But didn’t deal with the finger nails but sent pictures to property manager and to owner. I wasn’t offered a discount which would have been nice. We were thinking about leaving but decided to stay. There was a odor in there, but aired it out and got air conditioner going one day and got better. It had been sprayed for bugs about three weeks before we arrived. It was supposed to be odorless but I did smell a odor on wall. But could have just been how wood smelled? The blankets we had had a strong odor. Manager said it was tide. My eyes watered. She gave us a new mattress pad and new blankets which smelled much better without the strong odor we experienced our first night there. So that was helpful. The owner and manager were very nice and listened us to our feedback.
