Beginnen Sie Ihren Tag mit dem ungehinderten Sonnenaufgang über dem türkisfarbenen karibischen Ozean von den bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten auf der Dachterrasse aus. In der voll ausgestatteten Küche können Sie mühelos frühstücken, bevor Sie sich auf den Weg zu den Abenteuern des Tages machen. Mehrere Strandclubs sind weniger als 10 Minuten mit dem Golfwagen entfernt, oder in 10 Minuten können Sie Ihre Zehen im Sand am Playa Norte haben, einem der bestbewerteten Strände der Welt. This was one of the best VRBO’s we have stayed in! It was very clean and equipped with everything we needed, including extra beach towels, pillows, etc. It’s larger than it looks in pictures even! The concierge was great, very helpful and responsive. Two of the beds are very comfortable, the 3rd (non master king), was hard but it worked out for my kiddos. The pool was great, shallower area for my 1 and 4 year old and a little deeper area for the bigger kids. The south end of the island is quiet and beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet and very nice. We loved it here!

This is a decent house for the money. It could have been cleaner but wasn't horrible. Mostly the floors didn't feel like they had been cleaned. We loved the location. The pool area doesn’t get much sun. It's mostly shaded. The hot water is amazing for showers. Very hot and we never ran out. The wifi is great too. The outdoor furniture needs updated and cushions replaced.

Perfect stay in Isla!

The home was exactly as described. Very clean, well kept and is equipped with everything you need. The pool area is beautiful! The location is perfect. Close to many beach clubs and restaurants. The host was always quick to reply to any questions or concerns we had. The dishwasher was broken as was the outdoor shower, but they told us ahead of time, so there were no surprises. We would definitely stay here again!

Let rentals go back to owner and client

The property manager was great, we had a family emergency and only our adult son and his wife could make it with our grandchildren. Its vrbo thst we will never use again, the rental contract at the time of booking did match the booking We would go back to the house but only if no rental platform like vrbo or airbnb was used. We go to Mexico 3 to 4 times yearly and have better understanding, communication with and of the property when we book direct.

Power outages

Would make sure with property managers the power outages were fixed. Two nights without power was horrible. Also the air conditioner flooded. We had to shut Air off for two days in main area. It was hot to cook. Home needs more cookware. If you plan on cooking. But overall was perfect for our family. Pool was perfect. Loved location. The upstairs patio was breathtaking.

The power outages are due to an issue on the island with a part the local electric company is having a hard time finding. They just started doing rolling outages to keep power on for the island until the part is found. We are just learning of this ourselves and found it is a temporary issue. We are sorry this occurred during your stay, but it was not caused by us or our team. We strive to provide an amazing vacation experience and a great home to stay in. You commented on how you enjoyed our home otherwise. Additionally, you failed to mention the service we provided because we did not cancel your vacation when your family had passport issues. We were accommodating and agreed to provide a full refund up to the day of check in, this allowed you time to get your passports and go on this vacation. We are open to constructive feedback, and we appreciate the feedback about the cookware which we will review to see if items are missing and need to be replaced. Giving us a 3 star review for items out of our control like the CFE power outages, while we understand you are frustrated, so are we, it just ruins our ability to rent our home in the future for a this short term issue which doesn't accurately reflect the service we provide and the quality of our home for other guests.

Perfect Home

We absolutely loved this property! We went to Isla with friends and their home was the perfect place to stay. Clean, organized, and beautiful. Don and Lori were great hosts in preparing us for our trip. They sent emails thoroughly explaining everything about the home and the island. They provided all resources that we would need to use while we were there. Colleen was a huge help booking excursions!! Ana was helpful most of the time...we ran out of filtered water half way through our stay. They said if this happened to contact Ana, we did, she said she would bring it and NEVER showed. So we had to buy our own jugs. Lastly, it says there is an additional twin bed in the master - there is not. We thought we were going to need it but luckily we were fine. But it could have been a real problem. Overall I definitely recommend this property and working with Don and Lori was a pleasure!?

We'll improve our emails to be more clear and ensure during the walk thru we show the grey Italian chair folds out into a lounger and then a twin bed. It may have been moved to another bedroom and we'll make sure our team moves that back during the cleaning. We also apologize that Ana did not respond to bring more water. Thank you for bringing that to our attention and we'll address both not having enough water initially and not responding. Terrible Check-in, Not a Single Extra, Misleading Listing

We were a party of six, with my parents (70s) traveling to the island and arriving hours before the rest of the party. For days ahead, I wrote several inquiries about check-in and clear directions to the house. Nothing. This resulted in my parents being driven up and down streets for over a hour after a long day of travel. The cab company recommended by the concierge service gave us both rescheduled rides that were each over a half hour late. Once there, there’s really nothing to accommodate a family staying there. No extra blankets, and they wouldn’t provide upon request. There was no shampoo, no dishwasher detergent. Those were provided beyond request but were missing. There is no outdoor shower, it’s welded shut and clearly has been for a long time, so the listing is inaccurate there. Then the clothes dryer broke. The pots and pans and knives suck and there was no option at all for food storage. I would say be prepared to bring absolutely everything.

This was a great place to stay. The house was beautifully decorated and well kept. The location to Punta Sur, restaurants and shops made it possible to not have a car at that end of the island.My only complaint is that the outdoor furniture was very worn. The roof top deck was great with the exception of ripped, weather worn furniture.

You can’t return a BAD vacation

I have been looking at this property since I bought a raffle ticket to win a stay. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Check-in was not seamless, although I sent a text message from the ferry terminal, the property manager arrived after me. The house was filthy. Food on the front of the appliances and some walls in the kitchen. Every glass in the cabinet was dirty and I had to wash them all. Speaking of which, the first thing I wanted to do was wash my hands and there was no hand soap anywhere. Dispenser on the wall for hand sanitizer completely empty. No shampoo, conditioner, or soap provided as indicated in the amenities. Sent a text to the property manager advising none of these items were provided. She finally replied to me 5 hours later at 10pm. I had already purchased what I needed. She advised she could send someone back to clean the next day. I was not interested as it would take a crew of 3 to work for a couple of days to get the house to par. It is not my job to supervise a cleaning crew. The house was supposed to be stocked and cleaned upon arrival and it clearly wasn’t. Ants were all over the kitchen, laundry room and some bathrooms. Bathroom mirrors still had someone else’s toothpaste stains on them. I have been to México over 40 times and have stayed in many resorts, hotels, villas and have never seen such a dirty home. It is pretty clear this is a failed subdivision (most homes are vacant) and the owners are doing as little as possible to get it sold and move on. As for a gated community, there is an old rope laying on the ground, not exactly gated in my opinion. I would be very skeptical about renting this property, it certainly was not a good experience for me. The golf cart rental arranged by the property was another disaster in itself. It is very unfortunate this home has not been taken care of, it could be quite beautiful if someone took the time to clean it properly. I could go on and on about what else was filthy but I think I have painted a pretty clear picture. There was also garbage floating in the pool when we arrived.

Amazing house

We stayed at this property for 6 days in August and had an amazing time. Everything was super clean, great bedrooms and bathrooms, equipped with all the things to cook, and a beautiful view from the roof top terrace. The owners were super with communication as well as the property managers. We would definitely consider staying next time!!!

Perfect Family Getaway

The house is beautiful! Views of the ocean from the roof, very nice pool area. Lots of space inside, really cool decor. Comfortable beds and plenty of bathrooms. The location of the house is one of the things we liked most, in a quieter area of the island, but still very accessible to everything we wanted to see and do. Our host was very attentive, answered all our questions, sent us a very helpful welcome book with information about the area and put us in contact with several people who helped us plan our time on the island. The property manager was very welcoming and helpful as well. We would love to visit again!

Great Time at Casa De La Risa‼️

Check-in/out were seamless; from earlier communications with both the owner & Colleen - concierge for property. Once on-site / the property manager, Ana was prompt to respond and extremely helpful! My family enjoyed the house/pool and all of the beautiful art throughout. For the most part, the house had most of the basics…I guess it would have been nice to have a 10” frying pan, dinner size forks and more hangers. Perfect Location!

Amazing stay at Casa de la Risa. It was very tranquil due to the location on the island. House is well appointed and bedrooms are a nice size. Would definitely stay again!

Enjoyable getaway

Our time at Casa de la Risa was very special. Our group had a wonderful time, the teen boys spent hours in the pool, having the kitchen was perfect for making meals together- we got groceries delivered by one of the supermarkets which I recommend to anyone planning a stay here. The one facet that contributed to frustration was that there was no wifi the entire time that we were there, and several of our plans were based on having wifi, including completing our mandatory covid tests to be allowed to travel back into the states. Our property host Ana was communicative and apologetic around this issue, and of course we figured out alternatives to our plans. Definitely would stay here again if I ever get the opportunity to travel to Isla Mujeres again.
