The place was great! The location alone with walking distance to downtown (less than 0.25 miles) made it worth it. It is also a 5-min drive to the RMNP entrance. Only word of advice is the steep latter for the kids. Make sure they take their time up and down from the loft and face the appropriate direction.

Overall the property was efficient for our needs. Our adult son enjoyed the loft for privacy very much. Our only complaint was the proximity to other houses being so near. The pictures made it look like the space around the fire pit was bigger than it really is. You are basically in the neighbor’s backyard. Not private at all! Being near town was great…our grandson enjoyed going to the park often. We would have enjoyed a better view of the mountains too but we enjoyed being near the marina and lake. Be prepared for a rustic cabin experience. Cozy and comfortable overall.

Our location right in the middle of Grand Lake, with easy access to the marina, lake, and mountain views, is part of what makes this cabin special, though it does mean homes are situated closely together as is common in this area. Great clean place that’s SO convenient to town!

We LOVED our stay at Sutzme. It’s 1/2 block from the square and all of the shops, restaurants and nightlife. The interior is cozy and clean and being able to bring our dog and use the nice yard (also well lit at night) was a huge bonus. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

This is the perfect quaint spot for a cabin getaway! It is well stocked with essentials. Being walkable to downtown was perfect for us. We especially loved the fire pit seating area and swing. Would recommend!

Great spot great management

The location is about 6 minutes walk to the marina and a 4 minute walk to town which is amazing. The space itself was wonderful and as advertised. The yard was very cozy as well. Management was particularly great to work with. Would stay again.

Adorable mountain cabin

This Grand Lake cottage made me feel nostalgic as if I were visiting a beloved family cabin. It was beautifully curated, and the book and game collections were great! A 2-minute walk to the village! A nice yard and two porches with comfy furniture. Kids would love the loft!

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay with our family of 5. We lived that we could easily walk to restaurants and shops. The cabin has everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed completing the scavenger hunt in the cabin and learning its history. When looking at photos of the outdoors, I didn’t realize how close we would be to other cabins. This wasn’t a problem, minus the neighbor’s dog barking, though.

Cozy stay worth repeating

Our family of 4 with two young children and dog enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin. Our almost 5 year old loved the upstairs loft area. He was very careful going up and down the steep stairs- which was a fun adventure for him. The host was very thoughtful in setting up this vacation spot- we had everything we needed. The proximity to town, the lake, and local playground was a nice walking distance for even the little one to make! Wish we had more time to stay longer!!! We are very grateful for this cozy and relaxing experience. We highly recommend this cabin.

Great location, not the most comfortable place

Great location! Great kitchen! Lots of basics available. The beds and furniture weren’t comfortable. And trying to get the cabin to be not too hot or too cold was a problem. It was perfect if all you are looking for is a home base- but we were stuck inside a couple of the days and it wasn’t great for that.

Cameron, thank you for your stay, we appreciate your feedback. Colorado weather does fluctuate quite a bit this time of year. We have equipped the cabin with two dual heating and air, remote control fan components, in addition, an electric heat radiator, and of course, guests are welcome to use the stone wood fireplace. While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, mattress taste is subjective, and we have never received any complaints about this in the past. We do supply extra bedding sheets and attempt to make everyone’s comfort level a top priority. We're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences. As is evidenced by the many great reviews, these owners are accustomed to providing five-star experiences, and we look forward to this property hosting many happy travelers.

Convenient and stress free

This is very close to town and a super convenient cabin especially if you bring pets. It’s nice to have a somewhat private backyard. We were able to put our dogs on long leashes and hang out in the back together. We didn’t have any issues with anything at all during our stay. This cabin felt very private and serene. My son spent half his time just hanging out in the hammock. The beds were comfortable and the TV has great streaming options. We didn’t cook much but anything you need is there. The towels were soft too 😊

Great Location Near Everything

My best friend and I had a great stay at this cabin! I agree with other reviewers that the loft area is accessible only by a steep ladder. We loved sitting at the kitchen table, playing cards & listening to the hummingbirds. We were also disappointed that the chimnea pictured is nowhere to be found on the property (we brought a lot of firewood from home) & the grasses out front look as though they could use a lawn mower. But other than that, we loved our stay!

Response from owner: "Thank you for your stay. I love all the humming birds. Yes, the stairs to the loft are steep hence the note in the description. We removed the chimney temporarily due to the East Troublesome fire, however we have added it back with better fire protection. Sorry you brought all the firewood. We also had the yard mowed.
