Cozy and Comfortable

It was well worth coming all the way from Germany to spend our summer vacation at Hidden Bear Cabin in Egg Harbor. This beautiful log cabin was the perfect size for four adults and four children to stay in for 12 days. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare our own meals every day. The stairs up to the loft were quite steep for children to climb up and down so we decided to have two adults sleep upstairs and we used one of the large cushions from the couch in the lounge to block off the bottom of the staircase. The kids loved the toys and board games, the foosball table in the basement, and the hammock and fire pit outside. It was a lot of fun discovering all of the unique artwork and details within the cabin, such as bear footprints on the dining room table and a rustic wooden sled that serves as a coffee table in the lounge. The cabin is cozy and comfortable and its location in the woods makes it seems like you are miles away from civilization, yet Egg Harbor with its beach, shops, and restaurants is only a 10 minute drive away. Overall, we loved our stay and highly recommend this cabin to others. Thank you Sharen and Charlie Ireland! P.S. Beautiful quiet location and wonderful firepit with ample supply of wood were big attractions! Cabin and kitchen were equipped with everything you’d need for an outstanding Door County vacation. Our only suggestions are brighter lights in the living room would make reading much easier and all visitors should be aware there are very steep stairs to master bedroom on second floor.

We chose this property as a place to stay for my Son's wedding which was held in Egg Harbor. We wanted a place to escape from the crowd and relax amid the excitement and celebration. This property is amazing. The property is pristine and very well decorated. It is very close to all the action and secluded at the same time. Communication with the hosts was simple and prompt. We do not believe there can be a better place to stay in Door County.

This was our tenth time at Hidden Bear Cabin, and we always love staying there. It’s in a great location…secluded and yet not far from all the fun activities Door County has to offer. The cabin is very clean and equipped with everything you might need to make your stay comfortable. We’re already looking forward to coming back again next year.

The front porch…our favorite place for our morning cup of coffee.

A great way to end the day gathered around the fire pit underneath a starry sky.

This was a wonderful place for our family with young children to stay on our trip. The hosts anticipated every need- step stools, baby gate, shampoos, lamps for getting around at night, board games, campfire supplies, and even a radio! We enjoyed our stay and loved that it was so close to everything in Door County to explore all the towns. The hammock was a great way to spend the morning and the reading nook was a great place for bedtime stories. Would recommend to anyone!

Incredible stay in cozy cabin

This cabin was not only well-stocked with everything we needed, but also so thoughtfully arranged for easy set up for our 8 guests. Communication with the hosts was reliable and quick, answering questions within minutes of me texting them. The location was ideal -- tucked into a wooded area and so peaceful, but a quick and easy drive away from activities. We are already talking about making this an annual trip. Thank you for an incredible stay!

We stayed at this cabin for the weekend with our adult children. It was a great location for the 1/2 Iron Man in Egg Harbor which is what we were in town for. It was so peaceful and quiet and had everything we could need. The hosts were excellent with their communion and we hope to stay here again!!

Relaxing and Beautiful Cabin

My husband and I go to Door County every year and this year brought friends. This gorgeous, well maintained and clean cabin was everything we needed. It is in the perfect location to all the Door County things and then go back, enjoy a quiet evening around the fire pit or play games in the cabin. The stairs really are steep, but just go slow.

Hidden Bear Cabin

My family and I had a fantastic time staying at the Hidden Bear Cabin when we visited Door County. The cabin is in a great location for accessing all of Door County; nothing was very "far" away. The cabin met all of our expectations and more! Very clean, comfortable, and had a lot of fun games which gave us a lot of laughs in the evenings. We highly recommend the Hidden Bear Cabin and look forward to staying there again in the future!

Beautiful cabin in great location, with caveats

This really is a beautiful cabin in a great location on the Door. The grounds are quite nice and the location is very convenient to Highway 42 and close to Egg Harbor. Beds are comfortable with nice linens, kitchen is very well stocked with quality dishes and cookware, plenty of hot water, etc. The porch is a nice place to sit in the evening. They really went all-in on the log cabin aesthetic (authentically so; this is an actual log home) which I can see being especially appealing to "city folk" wanting that up north feel.So why 4 stars and not 5? The first and main reason is that the upstairs master suite bathroom, instead of a door, has half-height swinging saloon doors which afford little privacy, and are not pictured in the listing for the site. I think a standard bathroom door on a property of this caliber is not too much to ask. Second, the "ship-style ladder" leading upstairs makes it really hard to carry luggage up and down or just access upstairs in general. To be fair, this ladder is mentioned in the description and shown in photos, but be aware that it is not suitable for anyone with decreased mobility or for young children without very close supervision. I am a fit, middle-aged person but found navigating it a challenge (especially at 6am). If these things aren't an issue to you, then I recommend Hidden Bear cabin.
