Cute place!

Check in was easy, staff was fun! We had a very small hiccup trying to get in there door but the property owner was on it and had it fixed in seconds even though it was past 9 pm when we got in! Small but big! lots of room to sleep! Nice play to sit and watch the water. Very cute place, the vintage set up we really enjoyed! Will book again!

Cutest little condo

The property and outside of the builds is rough looking, but everything works. The elevator is slow but definitely beats climbing 3 flights of stairs! The inside of the condo is super cute and was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and utensils.

Spring Break

Condo is small but has everything you need. Cute decor, plenty of towels and bedding. Kitchen has all things needed to cook. Stove/oven is small so keep that in mind if planning meals there. Hosts are easy to communicate with when needed. Condo is in an older property but there are efforts to keep it up. The pool we used was clean and well kept and appears to have been heated. Property is within 5/10 minutes of the USS Lexington and aquarium.

Super cute condo! We loved the 80s theme! Great use of space! The area is older, but appears there are some efforts in process to clean it up. The condo itself was well maintained, although when arriving there wss some cleaning we needed to do. Great view, relaxing, and each access to beach. Owner wss very easy to cimmunicate with and accompanyiating!! Appreciated her! The gal at the condo checkin was not very friendly. space!

Wonderful condo for family of 4

We loved the condo! The kids had a blast with all the games and the record player! I love the nostalgic feel of the condo. They had plenty of beach accessories to use as well as condiments stocked in the fridge. We felt welcomed right away! It’s right on the beach. Two pools. The view from the balcony is great as well. Super close to the souvenir shops and the aquarium!

Perfect for a family of 3!

Our stay was great. The layout of the condo was perfect for our 15 month old to get all of her steps in without getting into anything she wasn’t supposed to. We enjoyed the view of the beach from the patio and loved how close we were to the aquarium and the Lexington! The only bummer, which is not in the control of the owner of the condo, is that the elevator was not working in our building. Not much anyone can do about that unfortunately but again, nothing to do with the condo itself! Thank you for letting us stay there! We loved our trip!

Awesome condo!

I brought my 8 and 10 year old daughters for a last minute trip and we had a great time. The condo was so cool, we will be coming back and bringing dad for sure so he can check out all the records and play pacman. The property of Villa del Sol is pretty old and needing lots of work but inside the condo we were comfortable. It had everything us 3 girls needed for a couple of days. Beds were comfortable, shower was hot. There are two pools onsite, the kids enjoyed those. The super close beach access is my favorite part, I love but having to load everyone in the car and bringing all the sand in the car with us. We'll stay here again!

Great access to bay beach

The condo has great games, a good little kitchen for quick meals and super close access to the bay beach. The bedroom carpet is worn but the rest of the condo was great and well stocked with anything you might need for a trip to the beach. We are a family of 4 and it felt like we were vacationing in a tiny home in a good way :). The hallways and stairways of the community need some upkeep and the elevator was out of service mostly.

Cleanliness issues

The condo wasn't as clean an I expected for the cleaning fee charged. The sheets were clean and the beds were made, but the towels had hair in them. There were lots of dirty doors and general areas. The refrigerator still had shredded cheese from another occupant and the shelves were filthy. There was no dish soap or other cleaning supplies to be able to clean up before we used it or after. Also, you could tell just the easy to reach areas had been swept and mopped, but behind and under furniture had dirt and food debris. There were also used toiletries in the bathroom. The communal trash cans seemed to be emptied regularly. We didn't visit the pool or any other areas. We stayed in the condo and then left to visit areas outside the property. More attention to the condo itself is needed.

Roaches, unwashed sheets No communication

We picked this place knowing the age and possible issues and we were willing to deal with the construction and outward appearance of Villa Del Sol. This unit looked nice and since we had our 10 year old son with us we thought the game would be something fun. We arrived and the AC was set to 85 and it was very balmy inside the unit. No big deal, no problem. Turned the AC on, and we were good… starting unpacking and I checked the book to see if there was any information we needed to know. When I pulled the book off the kitchen counter and opened it, 3 roaches scurried out of the book and over the counter. I was able to kill one and got a picture. That’s when we were really thinking we have a problem. So my wife checked the sheets on the bed, sure enough, there were many small black hairs (maybe, hopefully from a dog) in the sheets and there was some kind of food spot. That was all we needed to confirm we could not stay here. I called the two numbers listed in the book as the owners… no answer. So then I attempted to contact VRBO. Made my way through the system and got in touch with a help center. Went through the story and the operator confirmed this was an issue and we talked about eligibility for refund and/or placement in a different VRBO unit somewhere. She assured me they would look into getting us another place to stay and that I would receive an email from somebody with options. I haven’t heard anything and now I’m out of space to explain how i

Please know that we have a very good housekeeper who takes great care in making sure the home is 100% clean and sanitized and we're sure she would have changed the sheets on the bed. Regarding the pests, we know that because of our location, we have to stay on top of this so that it does not become an issue and we have pest control out two times a month. We did not have any missed calls on this day, but if you would have left a message we would have returned your call as soon as we could. Again, we are sorry about this and wish we could have given you the 5-star experience we know we can deliver.

Gut: Check-in und Kommunikation
Was okay for sleeping. Pool was nice in evening to swim. Easy access to Corpus and Portland. Pictures online need updated as Condo furniture and flooring is changed. Bathroom ceiling needs cleaned. Floor in kitchen cracked in front of stove and the silverware had 3 spoons. Barstools are different from pictures as well. For us it worked out as we were there very little and only slept and showered.
