The property is awesome, a secluded, peaceful, private retreat not far from Traverse City downtown (18 minutes). We came up for a wine tour. The house is spacious and has everything you could ask for. We really enjoyed the fire pit. Plenty of space for 4 couples.The owner very responsive to questions. Easy check-in and check-out. Would stay there again.

Amazing once again!

This was our second time staying at this property and it did not disappoint again! We had a bonfire, relaxed in the hot tub, fished, played games on the screened in porch, enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning. This place is amazing and a definite must stay. If you want an up north cabin close to town but put far enough to be quiet, this is it! Already looking forward to booking for next year.

Loved the property. River right there, tons of space for kids to explore, secluded and quiet. All the appliances you need (bring your own kcups or coffee). Comfortable beds and furnishings- slept like a baby!

Would Stay Again

We had a girls weekend here the past summer, and this place was great for it. It was spacious and clean, and the area was very private and quiet. The outdoor space and hot tub were great additions. Would stay here again!

Wedding Retreat

We needed a place to stay while celebrating our daughter's wedding nearby. I found the River Bend Cottage on VRBO. It was so perfect for me and my family to all be in the same house instead of multiple hotel rooms. The cottage is cozy and quaint and the owners made check in very simple. We could definitely see ourselves coming back!

Amazing!

This property is located right on the river and absolutely gorgeous! The photos on the listing do not do it justice. It is so peaceful and relaxing. This is by far the best rental we have ever stayed at with our friends and we certainly hope to be able to rent this property again. Everything was cozy, warming and comfortable. The towels even smelled fresh and amazing! A definite 5+ star place to stay if you love cabins and the river like we do!

Traverse City excursion

The property was beautiful. Lots of land, beautiful stream right off the deck (above) and screened porch (below). I was worried the 25 minute drive to the wineries would be too far but it was very easy (and quick!) to get to where we were going. We loved using all the amenities too - hot tub, fire pit outside. Very relaxing!

Place was very beautiful! The cabin aesthetic combined with all of the wonderful amenities created a memorable experience that we will all treasure for the rest of our lives. Host was absolutely phenomenal, friendly and quick to respond to all my questions. The place was stocked with everything you need to enjoy yourself. Great Summer Family Vacay

The location on the river felt secluded but was close enough to all the things we wanted to do. Dinners on the deck, s'mores around the fire, a bit of hammock time by the river, card games, hot tub time, and lots of touring around the Traverse City area made this a great vacation. When wi-fi issues arose, the owner was responsive and sent the caretaker to follow up. The issue was not resolved while we were there, but not because of lack of attention. And hey...we were on vacation, so we didn't want to check in with work anyway! All in all, this house was a good fit for our group. We only wish we had more time to relax here.

Exceeded Expectations!

Pictures do not do this property justice!! Our group came up for a wedding and we were all amazed at the gorgeous views, and the spacious rental! We all wished we could have stayed longer! This property has everything you need, we were thrilled when one of the group needed an iron and there was an iron and ironing board in the laundry room. Spacious, well maintained, very clean and inviting! Firepit was amazing! The host Evan was great to work with and very accomodating. I would definitely stay at this property again and again!

Relax on the river.

We really enjoyed this house. It’s a beautiful house in a beautiful setting on the river. Plenty of room for us to either get together or spread out. We took advantage of near by horseback riding, golf, fishing and kayaking. A fun and relaxing vacation.

Serene Tranquility

We had the most incredible time at the Riverbend Cottage. We arrived to find the house extremely clean and were thrilled to have a kitchen with all of the amenities we could need. The property is secluded and quiet, and right on a beautiful stream. We loved having dinner on both the screened in and upper porches, and ended many evenings roasting marshmallows at the firepit. Only a few miles from Traverse City, we were able to go into town for what we needed quite easily. Wayne was a delight to communicate with and we really appreciated the ease and friendliness and willingness to support us with any needs. We can't wait to come back!

Great place to get away from it all!

Beautiful property in a beautiful part of Michigan. The house and grounds were as expected -terrific! Pictures were accurate for how everything was set up. The kitchen was well stocked with most everything you could need, plus more. Deck areas (one screened in and one open) were our favorite hang-outs. Grandkids had great fun waving to the kayakers and canoers paddling by on the river just by the decks. Lots of light switches - but thankfully all well labeled. Having 2 washers/dryers made for easy laundry time for our group of 8. We had plenty of space - as well as areas to 'disappear to' if you needed some alone time. Overall, it was a great week - even with Covid-19 to deal with - we enjoyed horse rides at a nearby ranch - Swimming in Lake Michigan, as well as both bays by Traverse City - Strawberry picking - Brewery's were open for some adult relaxation. All within 15- 40 minutes of the house. Highly recommend. Owners prompt in responding to any questions. You won't regret staying here!

Beautiful view on lovely wooded average.

Stayed for a week. 8 people total and we were all comfortable. Loved the house and location. Evan was very patient and spent a lot of time explaining everything to us plus was available for any ? So close to everything yet felt so secluded. So many places to sit and congregate or go off on our own. It was perfect and we will be back!
