Spektakuläre offene See vor Eigentum und nur wenige Schritte zum weiten Sandstrand. Atemberaubende Sonnenaufgänge und Mondaufgänge über den Lake Michigan von innen, auf dem Rasen und auf dem Sand.
Dieses einzigartige Ferienhaus ist von einem 50-Fuß-Glas eingeschlossen See Veranda hervorgehoben. Es ist mit bunten handbemalten Möbeln, einem einladenden großen Esstisch, einem Vintage-Rocker Sammlung geschmückt, und kundenspezifische Polsterung. Sollten Sie in einer Wippe zu kühlen wählen oder einen Schlummer nehmen auf der Liege ist der See Veranda ein Besucher Favorit. Bitte nehmen Sie einen Moment unser Gästebuch einzutragen und Ihre Cottage-Speicher hinzufügen.
Das Blaue Schlafzimmer hat ein Doppelbett und eine Kommode und einen eigenen Eingang zur Veranda.
Die Peach Schlafzimmer hat ein kompaktes Doppelbett. Nicht für hohe Schwellen.

Wonderfully relaxing stay

Our family enjoyed 10 days on the beach. The cottage is set up beautifully with everything you need. Walking on the beach, enjoying the water and a fire at night brought memorable moments for my entire family. We are so happy to have stayed here.

The Seagull Cottage was a perfect place for our family of four to unwind on the sandy beach of Lake Michigan. The cottage is stocked with anything you need, and everything is organized and easy to find. Our stay was very peaceful, I think we saw maybe a dozen people walking the beach over our six day stay. The cottage and town is full of history, and we recommend visiting the dirt track races on Saturday night in Plymouth. We could not have asked for a better place to stay, or a better host. Mary was extremely responsive and made sure that we knew all of the ins and outs. We highly recommend this property of a day stay or a month!

Wedding Weekend

I booked this lovely house for my family during my wedding weekend and it was the most beautiful stay! The house is full of so much history and we all loved reading the stories that went along with it. The location was beautiful and we’re so lucky to have gotten the opportunity to make our own memories there. The hosts were so nice and accommodating, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!

Lake Michigan stat

Quaint historic Dutch cottage on sandy Lake Michigan. Cottage had all the comforts of home with multiple areas for family members to gather. The porch along the lakeside of the cottage was a wonderful space to hang out in the evenings. Kitchen was well equipped with adequate counters and cupboard space to store our food. Hosts were very attentive and responsive.

Great Cottage on Lake Michigan

We enjoyed our week at Seagull Cottage. The weather was great and we took advantage of the sandy beach every day. The cottage had everything we needed. The large porch overlooking the lake was terrific for meals and just relaxing.

Great stay! Amazing beach!

We stayed with our three small kids for two nights and absolutely loved it. The cottage is small but had everything we needed, the online information and description is 100% accurate. The beach is absolutely the draw of this place!!! So much wide open sand, it’s private, not rocky, and the water is about as warm as you can for Lake Michigan. We would definitely stay again!

The Seagull Lodge is a beautiful comfortable cottage right on Lake Michigan.

The Seagull Lodge is a charming cottage that showcases the Dutch heritage of the families who lived here and who have transformed it into a lovely lakeside cottage in modern times. We loved hanging out in the comfortable long porch that faces the lake, the large lawn and beach area. The bright design of the kitchen was well equipped to work in. You can see the lake from every room. We fell asleep to the swishing of the waves crashing onto the shore at night. We took walks on the beach and the wooded lane behind the house, swam in the cold lake water as the waves crashed into us and kayaked when the lake was calm. The kids played for hours where the sand met the water. The shallow beach made it very safe for children. It was a wonderful Lake Michigan experience.

Better than imagined!

Perfect multi family getaway. The beach is super close to the house. The back porch is fully screened in and totally perfect - we ate all our meals out there. You can hear the waves crashing in as you sleep. All the basics and more are provided for and signs and instructions are perfectly clear. 110% satisfied customers!

First family vacation with young children was a success!

So hard to summarize all the many wonderful things about this stay, but I'll try to hit the key points. The check in process was a breeze, and directions were very easy to follow. Cabin was clean upon arrival, with the exception of some sand in the tub, but that's to be expected and didn't bother us at all. All necessary amenities for basic cooking, and the variety of games/toys for the kids was great! The backyard and beach were heaven. Aside from the insect visitors (mosquitos and black flies were very persistent), we had nothing to complain about with this gorgeous stay. We all know you plan for bugs no matter where you go in Wisconsin :) Bedding was all clean and fresh smelling. Lots of extra pillows/blankets. Our kids played on the beach all day long with the exception of one stormy morning where the waves were quite a sight!! Hope to be back in the future.

Fantastic experience!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Seagull Lodge! The beach was just beautiful and we spent hours and hours in the sand and water each day. The views were stunning! The house was smaller than what we are used to, but our group of 10 (+baby) still fit comfortably there and enjoyed the variety of games, toys, and movies that the hosts provided. We loved the Dutch decor and the welcome windmill cookies were such a fun touch! We loved the nearby town of Oostburg and took walks in the neighborhood where goldenrod and other beautiful wildflowers bloomed. Mary was easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions promptly! It was definitely a trip to remember!

Another great summer vacation at the Seagull Lodge

We returned for a second time to the Seagull Lodge, this time with grandma in tow, and had another great stay. As I noted in my review last year, the lodge is not “hotel modern” but it’s well equipped, comfortable and full of quirk and charm, with tons of room for a family of 4 to spread out and enjoy. We were lucky to have perfect weather, and we spent all day every day at the beach. This year we brought an inflatable stand-up paddle board, which was really fun for our 5-year-old and served as a comfortable place for adults to hang out on the water without spending all day in the cold lake.

Relaxing week at the cottage!

In addition to spending time at The Seagull Lodge my husband and I love to swim, ski, hike, backpack and hang out with our family.

The Seagull Lodge is located on land that has been in my mother's family since the late 1800's. My husband, son and I are fortunate to be the current owners of this property. Since we are not able to get there as often as we would like, we decided to list our cottage for use by others who, we are certain, will find it as special as we do. Our sons honed their crawling skills on the beach, learned to bike up hills on Smies Road, became strong swimmers by challenging each other to make it to the second sandbar and have spent hour after hour playing in the sand. The four of us (now along with their significant others) continue to gather at the cottage every summer. The Seagull Lodge is a wonderfully peaceful, laid-back, private, and magical place. We are certain you will create your own memories with a stay at our property.

When I come to the cottage I don't like to leave. For quick trips into town I prefer to bike with my backpack to hold the groceries. I love the natural beauty of our lake and wooded surroundings and relish the peaceful; yet dramatic setting. Long walks on the beach and country roads are a favorite as well as reading, socializing, working on projects, and playing games with family and friends.
