Your much-needed retreat begins at this large 3-bedroom house 300-feet from Lake Michigan. This wonderful property features 3 queen beds, a twin bed loft, and a pullout queen sofa sleeper (sleeps 9 in total) - perfect for a family or group getaway. With amenities like WiFi, AC, radiant heat, and on-site laundry, guests can relax and unwind in this quiet forest home. The 2 bathrooms in the home enable your option of a quick post-beach rinse in the shower or a relaxing soak in the tub. A large living room provides extra space for lounging, catching up on your streaming TV, or playing board games with the family. The large dining room table is perfect for hosting family meals or competitive card games. The quiet yard on this low traffic street enables lots of great playtime, hunting for frogs, or just waiting for the many deer visitors that regularly pass through. And don't forget the ping pong table and the foosball table in the basement awaiting it's daily challengers to see who takes home bragging rights. 300-feet in one direction is the sandy beach of Lake Michigan where rock skipping is a must. 300-feet in the opposite direction of the lake is a locals favorite supper club where you can enjoy an old fashioned and a fish fry. Newly offered in Spring 2025 as a vacation rental following a recent renovation, this is a great place to call homebase while you're away. We are sure you will enjoy your stay. Great Stay

We truly enjoyed our stay here. Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the proximity to the beach and nearby golf courses. Great location that was close to everything, but had an up north feel with all the trees.

Great family getaway!

Our family loved staying here! The highlight was beach access. Although it wasn't right on the beach, access was only a couple of minutes away walking to the end of the street and down a very short public path. Couldn't have asked for a better beach to hang out at throughout the stay. The rental had a homey-vibe, but was very well kept and had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive before and during the trip.

Up North feel only 2-1/2 hrs from home!

We loved our week at 217 Juniper, Sheboygan, WI! Lovely comfortable home only 300 ft from our own private beach! Did alot of exploring the area and enjoyed every minute of it. Our family of two adults and four kids had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful, updated old home. It was spotless when we arrived and stocked with everything we could need - towels, dishes and even beach toys for the kids. The ping pong table in the basement was a huge hit. We loved hearing the waves from the house and appreciated the short drive to Kohler-Andrae State Park, which quickly became one of our favorite spots. The location was perfect for enjoying Lake Michigan and exploring the area. The house had plenty of room for all of us yet still felt warm and inviting. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommend!

Lake weekend

Our family of 5 was very comfortable at the house. Everything was clean and well maintained. We loved the location for beach access! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The bikes and beach chairs were a nice addition. We enjoyed several area restaurants and didn't cook much but the kitchen had everything we needed. Our favorite restaurant was the Black River Grill just down the road. Make sure to call for reservations well in advance. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone!

We had a great stay at Dan's home. Upon arrival we noticed that the refrigerator was not working and shared this information to Dan. By the next morning, it was replaced! We had great line of communication and really appreciated the prompt responses. The highlight of this listing is the accessibility to the beach - it can't be beat!A few notes as you consider this listing: 1) There is no dishwashwer on site, so be prepared to wash dishes if you plan to cook a lot!2) The bunk is wobbly, probably best suited for a child not an adult.

Though a refrigerator suddenly going out is not something one can predict, I am super proud to have had coolers with ice immediately delivered within 60mins that night and a brand new refrigerator installed by 10am the next morning while you were out for coffee, minimizing any inconvenience. I appreciate you recognizing my super responsiveness in your review. Regarding your other notes, I’d advise closer attention be paid to listing details which indicate no loud power/water-hungry dishwasher is present in this eco-friendly quiet forest home. Both the listing and the welcome book clearly state the twin size bunk bed is indeed best suited for kiddos (not typically preferred by full-grown adults) while adults should consider sleeping in the several Queen beds that are available. But good news! We have restabilized the bunk following your visit and it is again safe for the bunkbed fans it’s intended for. Safe travels.

Comfortable well equipped house steps from the lake

Our family stayed five nights at Dan's house in Sheboygan Wisconsin. The house was very clean, full of comfortable furniture and bedding, and well equipped, including many supplies and amenities that aren't found in many places.Communication with the owner host before, during and after the stay was superb. There is a well-researched guest book full of information about the house and with detailed information about area attractions. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement on a rainy day. Out the front door and down the bottom of the cul-de-sac there's public access to the lake, and we enjoyed dipping our feet in and splashing around, although the water temperature at about 55 was a little chillier then what we were used to! The neighborhood itself is very quiet. There's a restaurant right on the corner of the road but we never heard any noise from it. It's an hour drive to Milwaukee and attractions there but there's much to do in Sheboygan as well. Just 5 minutes up the road, there's a Lake Park with parking, a pavilion and restrooms. It was quiet and nice.The kitchen is especially well supplied, two different kinds of coffee makers that already had paper filters for the one and some k cups for the other. Lots of pots, pans, dishes, utensils, even glass containers with lids for storage. Paper goods, wraps, etc., ere there, which was nice. Dan as a host was great, always available and helpful. He clearly is proud of the property, with good reason.

Wait til you get there and you’ll know for yourself why this neighborhood is so great. The trees, the deer, the beach, the water, the park down the street, the cocktails down the street. One hour north of Milwaukee and one hour south of Green Bay. It puts you close enough and yet far enough away from everything.

This house was hand-built with care and detail by the previous owner whom you will find a framed picture of in the living room. Ed was a custom woodworker and did a great job capturing the forest in his house design and a smart layout with lots of pocket doors allows for customization to your needs as some folks turn in early and others might stay up late. It’s so welcoming and comfortable you will hate leaving, but will love returning to that vibe once again.
