Das Maison Guy ist ein geräumiges Familienhaus, das für das Urlaubsleben konzipiert wurde und auf einem Hügel mit weitreichenden Aussichten liegt. Die Villa liegt in einer äußerst ruhigen Umgebung, eingebettet in einen Korkeichen- und Kastanienwald. Während Ihres Aufenthalts können Sie das Beste aus beiden Welten, die Ruhe und Stille der Lage genießen, während Sie nur 5 Autominuten von La Garde-Freinet entfernt sind. Eine mittelalterliche Festungsstadt mit einer großen Auswahl an lokalen Geschäften und Restaurants, zweimal wöchentlich einem Markt und einer Fülle von Spaziergängen und Wildtieren. Nach St. Tropez ist es nur ein Katzensprung. Der Hafen und die Strände bieten beste Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants, Glamour und Nachtleben. Die Aufregung der glitzernden Küste bildet einen scharfen Kontrast zum örtlichen Dorfmarkt und den sonnenverwöhnten Hügeln von La Garde-Freinet.

Unsere gut ausgestattete, ebenerdige Villa verfügt über 4 großzügige Doppelzimmer, die im Mezzanin bis zu 10 Personen bequem unterbringen können. Mit großzügigen Terrassen zum Speisen im Freien und einem großen privaten Pool (11 x 5 m) auf 2, 5 Hektar großen Gelände, werden Sie schnell in die faule Routine eines französischen Sommers geraten.

Das Haus ist in 3 Bereiche aufgeteilt und verfügt über ein Doppel- und ein Zweibettzimmer sowie ein Bad mit Dusche auf jeder Seite des Wohnbereichs. Dies bietet ein gewisses Maß an Privatsphäre und Unabhängigkeit, auch wenn Sie es mit guten Freunden teilen.

La Garde-Freinet ist eine Stadt im Zentrum des Massif des Maures. Malerische Straßen führen durch Wälder mit Korkeichen und Kastanienhainen und erreichen das Dorf, wo Restaurants und Geschäfte den Hauptplatz umgeben. Wir genießen nichts mehr, als morgens ins Dorf zu gehen, um das frisch gebackene Brot und die Croissants zu sammeln.

Perfekt, aber....

Meine Bewertung bezieht sich nicht auf das Haus allgemein!! Dieses ist wunderschön gelegen, die Einrichtung ist okay, der Blick phantastisch, und wir haben den Pool geliebt. Auch die Kommunikation mit Emma war tadellos! Warum dann nur drei von fünf Sternen? Leider war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts nebenan eine Baustelle, und das hat das Wohlbefinden erheblich eingeschränkt. Allerdings hat Emma hervorragend reagiert, wofür ich mich noch einmal bedanke. Noch einmal: wir hatten leider Pech, aber prinzipiell ist dieses Haus bezaubernd, und wir können es - nach Abschluß der Bauarbeiten - 100% empfehlen!

Brilliant stay in a beautiful region

We were a group of friends and stayed at Maison Guy for a week. The house is as described, it is well equipped and offers space for up to 10 people. Maison Guy is the ideal place if you are seeking some privacy, it also offers a unique view on the striking sunsets of Provence. Emma and Philippa were very accommodating and really cared about us. I would certainly recommend Maison Guy to families as well as groups of friends.

Peaceful, Relaxing and Large Villa

We really enjoyed our stay at Maison Guy. It's a big house and Becky was super responsive. Could easily handle two families of four with two bedrooms on either side of the house. The pool is the best thing. It was about 100 degrees outside and the fact that the pool gets partial shade in the afternoon was great. The house cooled off at night - we slept with the windows wide open. And we'd shut the wood shutters while we were out during the day. No AC. My only reason for the 4 start is that It's a little further out than we originally thought from the listing. It was about a 40-45 minute drive to St. Tropez beaches and the last several miles are pretty windy and hilly. We found the walk into to La Garde Freinet (45 minutes) too long to be practical for a daily thing. It's not like you're going to pop out to the bakery and be right back. But it's only a 7 minute drive. Very peaceful an relaxing. Lovely sitting on the deck for breakfast. We enjoyed going to Grimaud for dinner (Clem's) and Gassin. I'd recommend it for those looking for a secluded retreat for families.

Mes amies et moi avons passé une agréable semaine dans la maison Guy. En automne, lorsque la météo est pluvieuse, il manque un peu de lumière dans la maison qui est bien enfouie dans une forêt de chênes liège. La mer est proche et La région est très belle !

Sympathique endroit, mais 0 pour Abritel!

J'ai réservé sur Abritel mais le contrat s'est fait avec Owners direct, législation anglaise. Tout cela on le sait après le paiement...Résultats, des différences entre le site français et le site anglais: 25€ pour la location de la table de ping pong (non noté sur le site français) au final, non demandé par la propriétaire, vélos payants...Autrement, pas de téléviseur opérationnel pour voir les chaines classiques. Il n'y avait pas de barbecue mais cela a été résolu dès le lendemain suite à ma demande. Bon passons aux choses sympathiques, la maison et les extérieurs sont tops.

Superb holiday.

Idyllic setting perfect for a family or group of friends or mixing of both as we did. Spotlessly clean and well maintained by Phillipa and Becky who are very helpful and friendly. Pool and facilities are excellent especially the showers!!! Only thing- Electrical appliances need updating- kettle, dishwasher and hob. Beautifully sunny ☀️ spots but a welcome shade can be found.

An idyllic stay

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in Maison Guy. The house is extremely well laid out and has great outdoor areas for dining, sun-bathing and lounging. The grounds are well-maintained, and some lovely old cork trees provide options for shade by the pool. The house is well equipped, with everything we needed for our stay, and Becky and Philippa, who clean the house once a week and maintain the pool, were a pleasure to deal with. The quaint village of La Garde-Freinet nearby is a lovely spot. It has all the facilities that one could want - a bi-weekly market, a fab wine shop, some cafes for people-watching, a few nice shops for browsing and adequate restaurants for lunch and dinner - without ever feeling too crowded. All in all, an idyllic stay.

I spent a week at Maison Guy with my three daughters and son-in-law. What a stunning property! Fabulous facilities in a property that is in a wonderfully secluded and idyllic location, yet near to the village when essentials are required. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a peaceful vacation but with major towns and the coast nearby if preferred.

Fantastic Holiday Home

We had the most amazing 10 days in Maison Guy - everything was perfect for two families. There were 11 of us and there was plenty of space for everyone. The house is lovely with everything you could want for a relaxing holiday, great pool, table tennis and a large terrace with a fantastic view. We ate out a couple of times but actually it was such a beautiful place there was no need as it lends itself to having meals/barbeques on the terrace. The kitchen is very well equipped and 3 showers meant there were no queues at peak times!! The pool was cleaned regularly and everything was spotless when we arrived. It was as described and more. The house is easily accessible by car to St Tropez, Port Grimaud, La Ramatuelle and Grimaud. It is also a lovely walk and cycle into La Garde Freinet. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home - we will definitely be back!!

Have a wonderful holiday in the villa its very clean,comfortable and well maintained there is everything you need within the villa. The garden and pool is weel looked after. I love the village good shops and restaurants. Easy to get to other resorts. I will definitely be going back.

Perfect holiday villa

Just got back from two weeks at Maison Guy. The villa itself was as near perfect as makes no difference - everything worked and it was just right for two families sharing. The big pool was perfect and the view from the terrace was stunning. Butterflies, lizards and even wild boar. Le Gard Freinet has pretty much all you need, but its a trip in the car if you are shopping. Philippa and Becky from Provence Property Managementcouldn't have been more helpful, friendly and efficient. Actually very reluctant to leave!

Happy days in La Garde Freinet

We have stayed in both Maison Guy & Cabanon Chadwick every year over the past 7 summers and both are now very much a home away from home. We love the laid back private relaxation that both properties offer and have shared them both with family and friends, who have been similarly enthusiastic about their stays there. The layouts of both properties are great, easy to clean and have all the facilities you could want. The view back down the valley from Maison Guy is really spectacular in the evening, please don't let the trees grow too big to block this out. The properties and pools are well maintained and if you should have a problem, the local team are quickly on hand to sort it out (the pool at Maison Guy turned green overnight in late May one year due to a sudden drop of yellow pollen from the cork oaks, Phillipa & Becky were quickly on hand to get it sorted and normal service resumed the following day). La Garde Freinet itself is a delight with many interesting restaurants, shops and a great market on Sunday and Wednesday. It is the perfect spot away from the hubbub of the Cotes D'Azure if your preference is to get away for relaxation. There are good local beaches which are uncrowded, even in high summer, if you are prepared to explore and walk a bit. Our favorite is L'escalet about 35 minutes away. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend either property to anyone, our only reluctance being that recommendations lead to them becoming harder to book when we want to go! If we had one criticism, it would be about the size of the tree over the pool at Cabanon, which had got very big by last year and put the pool in shade for a good part of the day. If you want a shady spot, the covered terrace with its amazing concrete sculptural table is just the perfect spot to waste the day with a newspaper or book and several bottles of the perfectly chilled local rose! Every year we say we will try somewhere different, but we just get drawn back to where we know we will have a chilled out relaxing holiday in great properties in a stunning location.

A great all-round venue!

What a fabulous venue for a golfing long weekend! Maison Guy and The Cabanon made a perfect venue for the 14 of us and even my golf could not detract from the 4 excellent courses that we played. Well done to Becky for the catering - next time we'll come for longer to make proper use of the pools and facilities!

Perfect house for relaxing vacation

We took this house for three weeks in the Summer of 2011. It is an excellent, perfectly-designed holiday home. The house was well-appointed and clean and the grounds and pool well-maintained. The house lay-out, with bedrooms on either side of the central living area, works very well, and the dining terrace overlooking the pool is particularly lovely. The property manager came regularly to check on the pool and gave us some useful tips about restaurants in nearby La Garde Freinet. The house is in a very peaceful location. We occasionally walked into town for dinner (about 25 minutes' walk), though a car is essential for shopping etc. One tip is that the house can be difficult to find on the first visit, so do get detailed instructions from the property owner. This was the perfect house for a very relaxing holiday. Fintan, Dublin, Ireland.

Wonderful holiday!

Just wanted to say we had a fantastic week at Maison Guy, thank you so much. The layout of your villa was just perfect for both of our families and we thought the little touches left for us were great. The views from the villa were stunning and surrounding area very tranquil. We has some great meals both in the village and in St Tropez and only wish the week had not gone quite so quickly. We look forward to returning at some point and thoroughly recommend the villa.
