Das Anwesen ist eine Doppelhaushälfte mit drei Schlafzimmern. Es befindet sich in der attraktiven Stadt Portstewart an der majestätischen Nordküste. Die Stadt hat einen malerischen Hafen und eine Promenade mit einem zwei Meilen langen Strand. An der Promenade finden Sie einen Kinderspielplatz, ein Planschbecken und vieles mehr. Das Haus liegt abseits der Hauptstraße, buchstäblich etwa sechs Minuten. 8 km zu Fuß zur Promenade.
Es gibt einen offenen Wohn- / Essbereich und eine separate Küche im Erdgeschoss, mit zwei Doppel- und einem Einzelschlafzimmer (mit robusten Kojen) im Obergeschoss. Der Wohn- / Essbereich, der Flur und die Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss verfügen alle über Holzböden. Die Treppe und der Treppenabsatz sind mit Teppich ausgelegt. Draußen gibt es eine Garage, in der Sie Ihre Neoprenanzüge aufhängen, Ihre Surfbretter, Fahrräder usw. aufbewahren können. Es gibt einen ziemlich großen Vorgarten und umzäunte Seiten- und Hintergärten, um die Kleinen zu schützen. Auf der hinteren Terrasse gibt es Gartenmöbel (Tisch und Stühle). Im Kohlenhaus gibt es auch Brennstoff für das Feuer. Wi-Fi ist verfügbar.

Es gibt so viele Dinge zu sehen und zu tun in der Umgebung und darüber hinaus. Hier sind ein paar Vorschläge;

- Flanieren Sie zur Promenade und stöbern Sie in den Geschäften
- Gehen Sie vom Haus über den Hügel zum Küstenweg, zum Strand, nach Barmouth oder zur Promenade und darüber hinaus.
- Spielen Sie Bowling, Tennis, Putten, Golf oder Surfen am Portstewart Strand. Innerhalb weniger Kilometer gibt es Golfplätze in Portstewart (3), Portrush (2), Bushmills und einen 9-Loch-Platz zwischen den beiden Häfen.
- Im Osten besuchen Sie Dunluce Castle, die Bushmills Distillery, den Giants Causeway, die Carrick-a-Rede-Hängebrücke, Ballycastle und Rathlin Island. (Bringen Sie Ihre National Trust Card mit)
- Im Westen besuchen Sie den Mussenden Tempel und die Downhill Demesne für einen Spaziergang.(Eine der meistfotografierten Szenen in Irland)
- Fahren Sie mit dem Zug von Coleraine nach Derry / Londonderry, einer der größten Eisenbahnstrecken von Michael Palin. Gehen Sie auf den historischen Mauern von Derry.
- Eine Fähre bringt Sie von Magilligan nach Greencastle in Donegal, wo Sie wunderschöne Tage auf der Inishowen-Halbinsel verbringen können. (Erkundigen Sie sich bei der örtlichen Touristeninformation, ob die Fähre fährt.)
- Sie müssen sich die Antrim Coast Road ansehen, die als "eine der fünf besten Autofahrten der Welt" bezeichnet wird.
- Ein Tagesausflug in unsere Hauptstadt Belfast dauert nur etwa 1 Stunde und 15 Minuten.
- In Portstewart gibt es viele Restaurants, oder probieren Sie zur Abwechslung Portrush.
- Die nächste Touristeninformation befindet sich in Coleraine. In der Bibliothek unterhalb des Rathauses an der Promenade sind einige Informationen zu finden. Die Bibliothek verfügt auch über einen Internetzugang, der für Mitglieder kostenlos oder gegen eine geringe Gebühr verfügbar ist.

Thank you, Michelle, for coming to see us again, the purpose of your visit being ‘The Open’ golf tournament. We were delighted to host Scott, yourself and oldest son along with his 3 college friends, all very good golfers. The quality of their golf was evident when during a round on the Portstewart course, a recent Irish Open venue, a score of 4 over power was submitted for a first visit to the course, exceptional. They described their visit as the “Trip of a lifetime”, coming from Phoenix, Arizona and your recent move to Virginia, they really enjoyed the dunes golf, the surfing and all the wonderful sights of the North Coast. Highlights being the Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge and Dunluce Castle. We are looking forward to hearing more about the boys in their future golf careers and to hopefully seeing you again next year.

Perfect Base for The Open

Met Geoff & Hilda when we arrived...morning check-in request accommodated. The house is spotless, yet comfy & has everything needed for a week long stay.Convenient to Portstewart promenade- we walked which was 5-10mins & similar up n over to The Strand Beach. Both were on hand to help/communicate with if or when required....great hosts & a lovely house

Thank you very much for your kind words. We try our best to ensure that our property reaches the high standard we would expect when renting a property. The situation and the amenities around us are excellent. We have had guests of all ages and many returning guests. We started hosting 13 years ago, in our first year we had a lovely couple with a 2 month old baby girl. They have come back to us every year. They now have 2 lovely girls and 2 handsome boys. They love Portstewart. Unfortunately this is our last year and they will be our final guests. Marvellous location

Marvellous location with easy access to the Causeway Coast. Lovely walk between Portstewart and Portrush and couldn't resist Morelli's sundaes. Geoff and Hilda go the extra mile to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

Excellent Location

We were very pleased with our stay at Portstewart, everything was as described and the owners instructions on operating the appliances and heating were easy to understand. The home lacked for nothing and we would recommend this home stay to anyone. The Pizza shop on the corner and bakery around the next are also worth visiting.

Fantastic house at a great location

Geoffrey went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The house was extremely well appointed with every gadget you could ever need - it felt like being at home! We were ideally situated to visit the Giant's causeway, Dunseverick, Benone Beach and many more beautiful places. Thank you Geoffrey!

Golfers paradise

We were staying to play golf and the house is centrally located in Portstewart 2 minutes from Portstewart GC and 10 minutes from Portrush GC. We didn't have any problems and the house was well furnished and kitted out. Would definitely stay again.

Hilda and Geoff gave us a warm welcome and lots of information to help us enjoy our holiday. The house is clean, light, spacious and has everything you need. It is in a good location and a short walk from Portstewart Promenade and shops. My husband and I enjoyed staying there and would like to return in the future.

We had a great break. The house was centrally located to both the beach and the promenade. Well equipped. Very clean. Lots of little extras for the children. Loved it.

Lovely comfortable, child friendly home

We are a family of 5 and we had a wonderful stay in porstewart. The house is really well presented and is very cosy! Geoff and Hilda could not have been more helpful and they really have thought of everything that's needed in a family home. The location is also excellent within easy walking distance of the prom and the beach. I couldn't recommend this accommodation enough, a real must if you want comfortable family accommodation in portstewart.

Spotlessly Clean House in a Great Location

We have just returned from a 4 day break in Portstewart staying in this lovely house. The house was Spotlessly clean and had everything we required for our stay. A very well equipped house and very comfortable beds. Great location to explore the North Coast. Could not find fault with anything. Our hosts Geoff and Hillary were very jolly and provided us with an information booklet prior to our stay, telling us everything we needed to know. I would certainly recommend this property to others.

Beautiful 'home from home'

Just spent a lovely week at this property with my daughter and 2 young grandchildren. The house was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well equipped. The enclosed back garden was perfect for our 3 year old. There were lots of games and even buckets and spades for trips to the beach. It was an easy 10 minute walk to the promenade with its array of places to eat. We received a very warm welcome from Geoff and Hilda on arrival and would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone.

Comfortable holiday house

Stayed 4 nights in August with our daughter and 2 grandchildren at Geoff & Hildas house. The dealings i had with them from start till finish was over and above what i would normally get. All instructions about the house and places to go were very beneficial. The house had plenty of space about it and had many extras inside it. The rooms were spotless and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable with extra bedding if needed. I can only highly recommend this house for anyone to have a holiday at the Antrim coast.

Over the past seven years we have welcomed very many new friends from other countries who live far from the coast and maybe have never seen the wide-open seas before. Many have been “blown away” by what they see. There is so much within such a short distance. We feel our home provides you with a comfortable, warm and homely place to stay, visit new places and take time to relax. Delightful holiday home in great location

Our family and I have enjoyed three holidays at this lovely home! It is bright, spacious and very tastefully furnished. It is immaculate and very well equipped. The garden is a good size and, as it is totally enclosed, it is safe for children to play. The location of the house is perfect - you are just a short walk into town and close to shops and restaurants. Our favourite was to walk over the hill and down to the very beautiful Portstewart Strand or take a delightful stroll around the coast into town. Our children loved fishing for crabs off the rocks...and they caught quite a few! We would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely house - an ideal base for exploring this beautiful part of the world.

Stay at Seafield Park, Portstewart

The location was wonderful, an easy walk to the golf course, beach and the Promenade. It was also very easy access to Ulsterbus services to get into Portrush, Coleraine or event Belfast (by train via Coleraine). It is also close to all the activities and restaurants in Portstewart, we would even take the bus to Portrush to enjoy the restaurants there, and it was less than 20 minutes door to door. The owners were wonderful and immediately addressed any questions and concerns and went out of their way to make our extended stay easier. We had the property for an extended period of time, and they assisted when needed. The listing was very accurate, we traveled with three teenagers so the WIFI access was a plus. The home was very clean and well manicured. I even had my cousin stay for a while and she loved it, she had a car and was able to access everything easily. I would definitely recommend Seafield Park to my family and friends.

Thanks Michelle, as you were coming all the way from Phoenix, U.S.A., we had to ensure you were in the right place to meet all your requirements during your stay. We are delighted that you were more than happy with our home. I hope you were able to complete a little more of your research at the University of Ulster, Coleraine, just up the road and your older son was able to “warm” up, well maybe just practice for the U.S. Kids World Championships at Pinehurst, North Carolina. There must be fewer places better than on the Portstewart and Royal Portrush golf courses. With so many golf courses available, this is surely a golfers paradise. You make an interesting observation when you mention getting around on the bus and train services, so you do not need to have ‘wheels’ to get around (I know you didn’t for a good part of your time). I know this was not your first visit to Portstewart, but I believe you also had time to take in a few of the wonderful sites in the area, as did your cousin from Canada, who, on her first visit told me she loved the area, with so many places to see. Lovely Place to Stay

My husband, two teens, and I stayed for three nights at Geoff and Hilda’s property in Portstewart. Geoff was excellent at communicating from the booking process through our stay. He kindly met us at the house upon arrival and led us through the amenities. Exceptionally clean and comfortable accommodations with convenient driveway parking in a safe, quiet residential neighborhood. There are three bedrooms upstairs, so each teen was able to have privacy, and the beds were very comfortable (perhaps even more comfortable than our beds at home)! We enjoyed the living room/dining area to unwind in the evenings. The kitchen is well-equipped; we used the kettle (multiple times a day!), toaster, oven, and washing machine. The fridge is small, but more than met our needs. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the Promenade & Strand and about a 20-minute drive to Giant’s Causeway and Mussenden Temple. We truly enjoyed our nightly walks along the Prom (Morelli’s ice cream is delish!) and the beautiful cliff walk. The sunsets were breathtaking. We would recommend this property without hesitation to anyone traveling to the area.

Thank you Meg for taking the time to write your very full complementary review. We were very pleased to host you, Mike and your two lovely young girls all the way from Massachusetts, USA. We are blessed to have a home in this most picturesque off places on the North Coast, a nice quiet area with friendly neighbours. Nice walks by the sea within minutes of leaving the house. You mention the sunsets, well did you know that looking out to sea from Portstewart Promenade on a sunny evening, was the inspiration behind Jimmy Kennedy’s 1935 song “Red Sails in the Sunset”. Always remember to take time to sit on one of the many seats on the upper or lower prom and look out for the sailing boats. Rest and enjoy the view towards Donegal and the fresh air coming off the Atlantic. Many guests do the coastal walk to Portrush probably 4 miles. We know you will have enjoyed the rest of your visit to Ireland. It’s a long way to come back to see us, sure you know where we are.

Perfect holiday home

I stayed at this lovely house with a group of friends for the North west 200 motorbike races 8th _ 15th May. This was our second visit to the house having stayed at the house for our visit to the 2014 races. This year we had a full week of full sunshine ! Yet again the house was lovely and clean, well maintained, fresh and bright. Again everything you could possibly need was provided. The provision of towels was again appreciated as we were on our bikes so space on the bike is a premium. Two double beds and a set of bunk bed, bathroom has an excellent shower, kitchen has everything including microwave, cooker, washing machine etc. Garage is secure and gives access to the tumble drier. The rear garden is private and during our stay managed to have a BBQ. The property comes with garden table and chairs. In the garage were deckchairs, wind breakers and a number of fun bits for the kids to take to the beach. We made the most of the good weather and had several great days out on the bikes around Northern Ireland, there is so much to see. Port Stewart is a ten minute walk from the house and offers a lovely town with shops, pubs and take away. A large Tesco is a five minute drive. A fifteen minute walk takes you to The Strand which is a lovely wide beach. Alternatively walk along the coastal path from The Strand into Port Stewart.(great restaurant with a massive selection of cakes!!). What has never ceases to impress me when I have visited Northern Ireland is the very warm welcome from everyone you meet. You feel genuinely welcome and I always look forward to my visits to this great country. I can whole heartedly recommend this house for a summer holiday and hope it is not too long before I am back.

Yes I believe we have everything you require in the kitchen to cook up a dinner party, the fact is you will not always be in the kitchen. Take a few nights off and try a few of the very good reasonably priced restaurants. We cannot guarantee the wall to wall sunshine for 7 days that you got, but we will always try. Of course it is for the scenery and fresh air that visitors come to Portstewart and they are never disappointed. Hope to see you all back soon Simon, perhaps next year. Hilda & Geoff

Perfect location close to sea and promenade

We had a fantastic week in this property during the start of the summer sunshine of 2021. We were met by Geoff and Hilda prior to starting our stay and they gave us a full overview of the house. The house has everything you need and more. The hosts have thought of everything even down to a body board, buckets and spades which our 7 year old daughter loved. We booked a family boat trip online with Kintra Boat Tours leaving from Ballycastle Harbour. This was approx 2 hours viewing the cliffs, carrick a rede rope bridge and the Isle of Man. We visited the local Tesco for groceries and had nice take outs in the area as well as a nice family meal in nearby Anchorage. Breakfast was lovely in Bob & Berts and we had lots of different flavours of ice cream from Morellis. Thank you so much for helping to make this such an enjoyable week for us.

Of course getting out and doing things you would not normally do is all part of a holiday experience, like your boat trip which we still must do, sounds good. There are also trips available from Portstewart and Portrush. There is so much to do that one week just isn’t enough. Remember holidays are for relaxing as well, Coastal walks with all the fresh air you need, is one way to relax. We have many miles of walks along the coast. I am a retired Civil Servant, and for most of my working life I was in the computer software and security business. I was born in Portstewart and lived there until I got married to Hilda in 1971, when I moved to Belfast. Hilda trained and nursed in the RVH Belfast before and after we had 3 children. Hilda has now been a counsellor for the last 20 years. We have four grandchildren.

1 Seafield Park was Hilda's family home from 1966 after moving from Belfast. Two years later Hilda moved back to Belfast to train as a nurse in the Royal Victoria Hospital. We have owned the house from about 2001. It has been fully renovated and fitted out with high quality furnishings, kitchen appliances and units.
We try to ensure that the property in kept in 5 star condition, not only for our own use but to share with you, our guests.

We have 3 grown up children and 4 grandchildren. They have all spent many happy holidays in this house which is now fully equipped and modernised for present day living. The property is in a peaceful location yet very convenient to the beach, our promenade and all the magnificent scenery of the North Coast and Donegal. We have private parking and an enclosed back garden.
We do NOT have a hot tub, we do NOT have a sea view but, walk out of our lovely home turn left or turn right and within a few minutes you will have wonderful sea views and one of the biggest ...... tubs in the world (missing word "cool"). Anyway, a nice cool dip is better for you, so THEY say! Come and try.
