Great little cottage on Prudence with million dollar views. 7 min walk to Lighthouse Beach or just walk acroos the street and jump in. Host provided sheets which was a huge plus. Host was easy to communicate with and quixk to respond. Definitely would book again!!

Beautiful views from a very comfortable cottage.

Very spacious cottage with a great wraparound deck for watching spectacular sunrises, outdoor dinning and shady afternoons and evenings watching the ever changing vistas. 3/4 mile from the ferry and general store. Hiking, kayaking, visited the small library, museum, but most of all enjoyed a low key relaxing vacation here.

Great July 4th!

We brought friends to Prudence and needed another location to stay outside of our family home and this cottage was a great location to see them every day and right outside our 12 year old’s favorite beach…Sandy Point for some dock jumping! The house was as advertised and was great for two couples and two kids. The kids loved the bunks or as we called them, their “cubbies.” It was nice to be able to use the kayak and have easy beach access for when the 6 year old was done for the day!

Nice Stay on Prudence Island

The house was convenient and comfortable. The view of the water was constant. Good cross breeze through the house. It was nice to eat an evening meal at the picnic table on the deck and to relax in the deck chairs during the cooler parts of the day and in the evening. Access to the beach across the street was totally convenient (easy to run back and get something if you forgot it), and the beach is visible from the deck. And, the house was not far from nice walks and other water access. The fact that this rental PROVIDES SHEETS AND BOTTLED WATER made things a lot easier than other prudence rentals that don't provide them. And, although in my experience one does not really need A/C at Prudence Island, I found myself appreciating the window unit in the master bedroom. Having wifi was also a plus. The front room was a very nice place to hang out, with all the windows looking out over the water. It's not a luxurious place (no dishwasher, for example), but it's open, clean and bright. Quite a nice stay at Prudence.

We’ve rented on the west side of the island before, and this was a nice change. Easy to access all amenities of the village and shoreline

Perfect Location

My family and I loved our stay at the Douglas Cottage. We spent lots of time on the beautiful deck overlooking the ocean. Great location near ferry and the lighthouse.

Family stay

The property was perfect to meet the needs of our young family. The simple cottage is in an excellent location with beautiful views. The owners are very responsive and helpful and the neighbors were very friendly.

Island retreat!

My family and I have been vacationing on Prudence for over 10 years. We have friends on the island and are so comfortable with the laid back retreat. The Douglass Cottage is perfect for my family. Great views, close to the beach and my friends, ample room to stretch out and all the amenities. The extra bathroom is a godsend and the bunk room allows for kids and their friends to have their own space. The quality of the cookware and cutlery is a culinary hobbyist's dream. I like to cook on vacation and felt very comfortable in the kitchen to create. Langley, the owner, was extremely helpful and attentive. She made the process easy to book, access and depart. I will stay here every year from now on, so don't book my week, ha! Good times on P.I.and the island will provide...

Another amazing trip

This is our third year renting is the property just keeps getting better. This year, with new renovations and appliances, our time at PI was exactly what we needed for vacation. Per usual, owners were always available for quick easy communication before during and after our stay. Can’t wait for our next trip to PI!

Wonderful waterfront location with view of the lighthouse; refreshing swims in nice clear water; and a great deck to enjoy meals, games, cocktails, and reading. Good traditional beach cottage for relaxation and easy-going island life.

Nice place with great views!

Cute cottage in great location on prudence with good views! We had wifi, and AC and fans which was nice since it was a hot week! The deck the water a plus! We love Prudence!

Amazing once again

This was our second time renting the property and it was great. Langley is so great at answering quickly to any and all questions you have. The views and location are unmatched and I already can’t wait for next year! One of my favorite property’s to rent.

Prudence Island vacation

It was comfortable, no WiFi, no tv wasn’t happy with that. Pots & pans were very dirty, utensils were dirty, cups dirty had to wash before use. No instructions for how to use tv. The parking was not very good. Spider webs when first walked in where at key box is. The couch and bed were comfortable. No place to hang clothes inside. A lot of room for improvement . One of the doors in the living room didn’t close. The lights in the kitchen didn’t always work
