Tolle Lage: ruhige und schöne Nachbarschaft. Lake Tahoe Golf Course (18 Löcher) und Lake Valley State Recreation Area direkt vor dem Haus. Der Washoe Meadows State Park, 2 wunderschöne kristallklare Flüsse und viele landschaftlich reizvolle Radwege liegen nur wenige Blocks (1 bis 2 Gehminuten) vom Haus entfernt. Dennoch ist das Haus sehr praktisch, nur 4 Meilen von der Innenstadt von South Lake Tahoe, 7 Meilen vom See und etwa 10 Meilen vom himmlischen Skigebiet und allen bekannten Casinos in Nevada wie Harrah's und Harvey's, 30 Meilen von Kirkwood Ski, 25, entfernt Meilen von Sierra-at-Tahoe Ski. In einem Umkreis von 8 km finden Sie zahlreiche Restaurants und große Supermärkte wie Safeway und Raley's.

Das Haus ist neu renoviert mit rotem Eichen-Hartholzboden im ganzen Haus, verknoteten Kiefernholzwänden für jedes Zimmer, brandneuen Badezimmern und Möbeln usw., sehr geräumig, 25 m², 5 großen Schlafzimmern, 3 kompletten Badezimmern.

Das Haus verfügt über 5 Queen-Size-Betten, 2 cal King-Size-Bett, 2 Futons in voller Größe. Alle Bettwäsche, Bettlaken, Bettdecken und Handtücher sind aus 100% hochwertiger Baumwolle in reinem Weiß. Jedes Bett bietet eine hochwertige Tagesdecke und eine warme Decke. Das Haus kann 6 Autos in unserer Garage und Auffahrt parken.

Alle Möbel sind brandneu. Wohnzimmer hat eine hohe Decke offenes Foyer mit riesigen Dachfenster, sehr offen und geräumig. Das Haus bietet auch einen brandneuen Tornado Foosball-Spieltisch und 2 Großbildfernseher. Kostenloses Internet, Chromcast, Kabelfernsehen usw.

Camp Bachelorette

We had a bachelorette group, and the theme was “Camp bachelorette.” The cabin was perfect for it! There were plenty of beds for everyone and it was very spacious for when everyone was hanging out. It was in a nice little neighborhood and not too far from downtown. Overall, things were great! I’d book this rental again.

1st the positives, location 5*, we loved the access to the walking and bike trails, fantastic neighbors. Allowing larger dogs was a major draw. Andy the host was responsive to our concerns (we needed a new mattress, smoke detector chirp, and vacuum not on site) He was quick to respond and replaced the mattress (still needed a box spring) brought a ladder for the smoke detector and delivered a vacuum. The negatives, the property is suffering from much deferred maintenance, while clean on the surface when we arrived, we realized that several areas needed a deep cleaning and since we were staying a month, we pitched in. As mentioned in other reviews, the deck was splintered, and the living room seating was not adequate for the expected occupancy.

A Great Place

We are very happy with this place, it’s proximity to bike trails and hiking as well. We are very satisfied and comfortable with its spacious bedrooms. The entire house suits what we needed and very tidy. Having three full bathrooms were a big bonus. The owner was very accommodating with us. His kindness to our group is very much appreciated. Perfect Weekend Getaway

I stayed here with my teammates for a quick weekend ski trip. Andy is a very communicative host and all instructions for the house were straight forward. The entire process went very smoothly and the space is exactly what we needed for the weekend. Plenty of bed space to host a large group. Clean towels and sheets. It was raining all weekend so we didn't use the outdoor deck or grill but indoors was cozy and perfect for our game nights. I don't think the drive way is large enough for 6 cars as listed but we only had 4 cars. The only note is that the smoke alarms are very sensitive - it set of once for a steamy shower and another time for the toaster.

Good house but some things were missing

The house was in a good neighborhood. The agent was responsive. However, some things were missing. The living room seating is not enough for 10-12 people. Only six people can sit at a time. Not enough seating in the living room. The downstairs bedroom has rat poops in the corners. Therefore, cleaners need to do a better job with cleaning. The ice maker was broken. There were no wine glasses. The fireplace did not work. I will give the house a 2.5-3 stars.

Enjoyed our stay, potential to be a great rental

The positives - the house has a nice layout and had plenty of space for our group of 8. The bedrooms were comfortable. The owner is responsive. Opportunities to become great - The home needs additional maintenance, cleaning and care. We attempted to use the oven our first night and it filled the home with smoke, rendering it unusable. That led us to discover that several smoke detectors had been disabled. Outside of the dishes and drink ware, the kitchen supplies are of poor quality and condition. The gas fireplace was disabled. Cobwebs and dust were noticeable.

More kitchen supplies have added, Informed our cleaning company regarding the oven, cobwebs, and dust, etc. They will pay more attention to those areas in the future. Good place to stay

It was a good place to stay. We had 12 people for a family reunion, with about 20 others at different homes near Fallen Leaf Lake. There were a good number of queen/king beds so sleeping arrangements went smoothly. As noted on other reviews, it’s pretty dark in the house so so better lighting would be good, and some bulbs need replacing. We were having nightly “reunion” dinners so we had those at the other homes because this one was just too dark, especially as it got later in the day. Plus the deck needs serious work if guests are really going to enjoy any time out there. The picnic table is all dried up and warped and just needs to be thrown away. It’s not in any shape for entertaining. Overall the place worked though. A 17-page “rules and instructions” document is far too much for people to read. This needs to be broken down between between Rules, Check-out Instructions, and Helpful Info. Otherwise the guests aren’t going to read it.

Has potential, but needs alot of work

First the positive- the place was very clean. It’s hard to find a 5 bedroom for the price. It was roomy enough for 12 people. A short walk to trails and streams and close to Paradise park. My grandsons loved that. Plenty of room to park 6 vehicles. Now the negative- the outdoor patio was a disaster- one of the kids got a splinter on the deck. The deck was splintered with chipped paint. The picnic tables are a hazard, one was actually broken, the other bowed and warped. No propane in the bbqs. It cost us $25 to get a new tank. Amenities in the kitchen not so great- I went to make spaghetti and there were no pasta pots or Dutch ovens to make a batch of sauce. No baking sheets either- I had to go purchase them. The bedrooms did not have dressers and the bedroom we occupied did not even have a closet, so my husband and I had to live out of our suitcases for a week and we were tripping all over them. No sheets or blankets for the futons. Many of the outlets wouldn’t work because the plugs would fall out of them.The whole house was kind of dark and in need of a facelift. The bathrooms were the only place that were up to date, but you had to be careful of the shower faucet handles. It has potential, but needs to have the negatives addressed.

Great place for large groups

We loved our stay in South Lake Tahoe and Andy’s place was perfect for our large group. Right from the start Andy was very quick to answer any and all questions about the property and the area. We had a few issues upon arrival but Andy called immediately to address the issues. The bedrooms were large with very comfortable beds and great bedding. Although the house is a cabin and seems dark there is plenty of lights in all the right places to brighten it up. The 3 full bathrooms were also very well lit with plenty of room. The living room had comfy seating with a large TV that was perfect for relaxing. The large dining area had plenty of seating for our group to all eat together and play games. Although the handle was completely broken off the oven, it still worked and we used it two evenings for dinner. The dishwasher was used nightly and did a great job as did the washer and dryer. There is a large deck that we did use but it’s not in very good shape. If this area was updated it would truly put this house as super prime location! (hint, hint Andy) There was also a gas grill but it was unusable. The house was located perfectly for all our activities. Several hikes within walking distance. The lake and casinos were a very short drive. Beautiful golf course also very close. There were fans located in the upper bedrooms if needed but even in August the temps dropped down to the 50’s in the evening and the house was very comfortable. Our whole group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house and would definitely return.

Nice location, but home needs some updates

“Newly renovated property” is certainly a stretch for this home. I will echo what the most recent review said. The house wasn’t very clean, this after the cleaners were there until 4:15 PM and my family and I having to wait outside as we were supposed to check in at 4:00. Your feet would be black if you walked barefoot in the home for a little bit, the outside deck is in terrible shape and you can’t even sit on it, the deck and picnic table is extremely warped. Additionally, the bbq is falling apart, the oven handle is broken, the shower curtain and rod in the downstairs bathroom fell down when my 68 year old mother simply tried to close it while taking a shower. Also, the fridge inside didn’t seem to keep things too cold and the light inside it kept flickering, and the freezer door doesn’t open all the way without hitting the wall. On the positive, the bathrooms and the bedrooms were nice and the best parts of the home. The location of the home is also great, we did enjoy taking walks along the golf course at twilight and the area around the home was quiet and peaceful. But, on the flip side regarding the bedrooms, if you were in the downstairs bedrooms you could hear every step someone took upstairs. I know this reads like I’m a complainer and negative, but I’m really not these are just facts of the house. Each door in the house, especially the door that leads to the garage creaks extremely loud and with young children, this wasn’t great. In summary, the house was in a great location and quiet neighborhood but the house is anything but quiet if you have more than four adults and any kids.

Nice location, needs updates

Overall it was a nice stay. Bedrooms and bathrooms are nice. Kitchen needs some work - old cookware, oven handle coming off, freezer doesn't open all the way. Mostly the back patio needs work. BBQ was propped up, missing a leg and dirty. Back deck is very worn and needs replacing. Not too usable. Owner communicated well. Quiet, nice location. (Have to drive to town & lake.)

Great Getaway

We had a great stay! Far enough away from the crowds and close enough to take part in any event within minutes. A great getaway experience with a gracious host who answered questions quickly. Will stay again in the future!

Retreat

House was very clean. Beds were comfortable and it was nice we all had separate bedrooms. Very close to activities in town but far enough away for privacy. The property is between two golf courses with lots of bike/walking trails. We found two cute restaurants just 2 mikes away in Myers for breakfast or lunch. Really quiet neighborhood. Rachel and Andy were quick to respond to questions. I would highly recommend this property.

Spacious for Big Group, But Issues with Appliances and Quality

The property was in a great location, and very spacious for a large group of 10 people. All bedrooms were very large. The quality of things was OK - some appliances didn't work, garage broke on us first thing, and lack of trash space due to a big group being there before us made it difficult to clean up at the end. Overall, it got the job done, but some things need updating.

Thanks for this good comments. Sorry for the unexpected one of the two garage door broken. We have that garage door fixed since and the spring was broken. For trash space, we asked our guests to put the extra trash on the garbage can inside garage. Since it still not the best solution, we will install another outdoor metal bear proof garbage box. I have contracted the garbage box installer, and it is in queue to be done.

This house is right next to the Lake Tahoe golf course and also next to the Upper Truckee river inside the Washoe Meadows State Park. There are river side trails a few minutes walking from this house. There are also nice long biking trails at the beginning of this street. It is quiet and with great surounding.
