A Wonderful Stay

Absolutely loved staying at Il Turione. Spacious and comfortable. Perfect location. And there is parking which is a rarity in Assisi. Property managers are kind and helpful. I will absolutely stay here again!

A peaceful and heartwarming stay

A green paradise in the middle of one of the most beautiful historic centers of the world. The owners are very friendly and heartwarming people. We definitely will come again.

Comfortable apartment, helpful hosts

This apartment is neat, very well fitted out, with a comfortable bed and a good kitchen. Francesca came by several times, and was always available by phone And the location! Just above the San Rufino church, a short walk down to the town square, and the bus from the train stops about 30 yards away. We really enjoyed our stay.

Clean, quiet, comfortable

Our apartment was very clean, the hostess was very kind and helpful, and the location was o.k. It is at the high end of town so it was a lot of hill climbing to get back from any sightseeing. Beautiful little garden area.

Great Location! Clean!

We had a wonderful time! Franchesca and her mother-in-law were welcoming and kind. The apartment is clean and appropriately furnished. Excellent location for visiting all the sites yet quiet. Private parking (gated and secured at night) was a significant bonus as there is limited parking throughout the city. As a side note, heed the wisdom of using a small vehicle as the streets are very narrow with tight corners. We will return!

Basically Decent or Decently Basic

Location was excellent, in the upper town, walking distance to everything. Parking included right on site was very much appreciated. The actual apartment unit was very basic, fully furnished by IKEA, including furniture, crockery, cutlery, linens. No coffee maker was included, but we bought every day from the bistro down the street. Virtually no supplies were included. You would not want to weigh over 200 lbs and try to use the shower. The partition wall between us and the next neighbor was very thin. The host spoke not one word of English even when she was collecting the tourist tax. Would we stay there again? One of us might, the other would not.

ich dachte, so etwas gäbe es gar nicht!

Geräumiges Grundstück mit Parkplätzen und Garten buchstäblich direkt am Dom von Assisi! Die Wohnung hat nur Tageslicht von oben, für uns vollkommen okay. Bett groß und fest, Bad auch neu und in Ordnung. Küche okay. Tisch zum Sitzen, lesen, essen im Freien unter einer Pergola, mit Blick auf Campanile und Burg/Rocca. Wir haben es SEHR genossen!

Auf Grund der Fotos anderes erwartet

Auf Grund der Fotos im Internet hatten wir uns ein bisschen was anderes erwartet.. ABER: die Lage (5 Gehminuten ins Zentrum von Assisi) und Ausstattung des Appartments waren durchaus ansprechend und sauber, die Vermieterin sehr nett und zuvorkommend! ein großer Vorteil war der hauseigene Parkplatz. der kleine Garten direkt vor dem Haus ist nett angelegt und lädt zum Sitzen ein,

Tranquillo e in posizione centrale ad Assisi

Famiglia con due bambini, abbiamo trascorso una splendida vacanza di quattro giorni presso un degli appartamenti Il Turrione. Siamo stati accolti dai gentilissimi gestori che ci hanno dato utili consigli su cosa visitare e dai quali abbiamo anche potuto comprare dell'ottimo olio umbro di produzione propria. L'appartamento é nuovo e tenuto molto bene; completo di ogni cosa e perfettamente corrispondente alla descrizione in internet. Un piccolo giardino, con delle bellissime rose, permette di godere di momenti di rilassamento. L'appartamento per quattro persone é molto comodo e abbastanza luminoso. Offre anche un collegamento internet WiFi. Si é immersi direttamente nel cuore del centro storico di Assisi, con vista sul campanile della chiesa di S. Rufino e sulla Rocca Maggiore. L'appartamento é posizionato in maniera ottimale per raggiungere a piedi la piazza principale ed un'infinitá di negozi a meno di 5 minuti. Il parcheggio privato all'interno dello stesso cortile é estremamente comodo per chi viaggia in auto, in quanto é praticamente impossibile parcheggiare ad Assisi e da una maggiore sicurezza di notte e di giorno. Consiglieremo Il Turrione a tutti i nostri amici e torneremo di sicuro!

A rare jewel in Assisi

The online photos do not begin to do justice to Il Turrione. The garden is fabulous, with the most incredible fragrance of roses and jasmine imaginable. The location, which is surrounded by the ruins of an ancient Roman ruin, has plenty of enclosed parking. Lissia and Franco, the in-laws of the owners, live on site, are always available and keep everything meticulously taken care of. In fact, the very best part of Il Turrione is not the wonderful apartment, super convenient location or gorgeous setting, it is the owner, Francesca, and her family. Upon arriving, you'll feel, as we did, that you are coming to see old Italian friends. We honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay. And we'll be coming back!!

Great location with a friendly family, in the beautiful Assisi

Nice apartment, within the walls of Assisi, with a private parking, and a beautiful terrace. We were welcomed and shown around by the mother (mother-in-law) of Francesca. We met her (and her husband and daughter) regularly when she came to water the plants. Very nice people who always wanted to chat, unfortunately they only spoke Italian and we did not. Francesca's came to greet us the 2nd day and when we left. The mother-in-law also wished us a good return journey and warmly embraced me (Gerda). An ideal place from which to visit Assisi, with its many attractions, shops, restaurants.

Wonderful location with magical garden

We could not have asked for a better location for our stay in Assisi. The beautiful garden made it all that much better. Our apartment was very clean and our host, Francesca was helpful and available for questions and suggestions. Our only request would be a good reading lamp in the apartment.

Wonderful Assisi

The property was clean, had everything I needed, gorgeous outdoors and so close to the shops and restaurant. It was just perfect. I was greeted by Francesca's Mother-in-law (sorry I forget her name, I was only there two nights) and although she did not speak English we communicated well, she was lovely and they responded to all my requests immediately. Beautiful, gracious people and a lovely place in an ideal location. I loved Assisi :)

A really nice apt in a charming city!

Assisi is a gem! The Turrione is every bit in keeping with the character of the town. It is inviting, clean, bright, airy, very comfortable. Francesca's mother-in-law and daughter met us and were super attentive to our needs. Her mother-in-law was so helpful and brought us detergent and an iron and table cover; she is just a delightful, warm, genuine woman. She gave us good recommendations for restaurants and checked on us each day. Francesca came by the next day to meet us and ask if we needed anything. The large garden with fruit and olive trees is a welcome refuge after a day of sightseeing. The property is just inside the walled city but has its own gate and parking area so there is no concern for your car. The apt has wonderful crisp, absorbent towels, plenty of hangars, pillows and blankets. The kitchen was stocked with coffee and the like. All in all, a wonderful stay and we would go back without hesitation.

We loved our time in the Turrione.

The apartment was well-appointed and very comfortable. Plus there is a garden outside where we could relax, eat, enjoy the sunshine and sounds of Assisi. We were close to everything. We met Francesca when we got there - and eventually most of her family. Their warmth made us feel right at home and really enhanced the whole visit. Wish we had had more time to stay there.

Lovely place with great location

Would not hesitate to recommend this place. It is a spacious well equipped place with parking and a garden to sit in. The location is close enough that you can walk almost anyplace but secluded enough that you can escape the tourists. The owners are very helpful and accommodating even though we didn't speak the same language. Francesca's English is very good. Can hardly wait to go back there and hope I know a little Italian by then.

Nice Apartment in great location

My husband and I really enjoyed our time in Assisi. The apartment was comfortable and clean. I liked hearing the church bells every morning. We were traveling Italy by car and it was so convenient to have a parking spot right next to the apartment. One of the best features of the apartment was the beautiful garden where we ate all of our meals. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay there again ADC

Excellent location with a lovely view from the garden

This was a very spacious, well equipped apartment, within easy/flat walking distance from Piazza Matteoto bus terminal which was at the end of the line from the station. Our apartment (4) only had the front door (no fly wire) and ceiling windows which opened electronically a small distance, and closed automatically when it rained. Hence, the rooms could get quite hot through the late afternoon. Our host only spoke Italian and another guest assisted with translation when Franchesca (daughter in law who speaks English) was at work. The washing machine was greatly appreciated as too was the lovely outdoor grassed area set up with table and chairs to have lunch/drinks. The view in the late afternoon was stunning. Our walking shoes were in great demand as everything was "down", and what goes down, must come "up"!! Assisi is beautiful and there are wonderful restaurants and fabulous local wine, but alley ways can be narrow and steep. There are stairs everywhere. Abounds in history, culture and religion.
