The two of us stayed a week in August 2024.

The two of us stayed a week in August 2024. The house is obviously spacious for two! But it was also comfortable and well equipped and well away from roads so also very quiet. It was close enough to Lakeland for us to easily get to walks on the Northern and Far Eastern fells. It was close to Penrith, which we liked a lot, for shopping. And handy for the A6, A66 and M6. We rate Bumblebee Nook highly and would stay there again.

We absolutely loved our stay in Bumblebee Nook - home from home in every way.

We absolutely loved our stay in Bumblebee Nook - home from home in every way. Brilliant location for discovering the shores of Ullswater and Lowther Castle - a short drive away. The autumnal colours and picture postcard weather made for a stunning stay in the Lake District. We very much hope to return. This is a cottage with great attention to detail, good quality furnishings and simply a lovely place to be. We had a warm welcome from the owner too. We highly recommend visiting.

Bumblebee Nook provided a comfortable and convenient base for meeting up with family and friends and to explore the North Lakes. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, we particularly enjoyed lighting the log burning stove in the lounge which made for cosy evenings. The owners, Julie and Tim, were very friendly and helpful making for a memorable holiday.

The owners provided a folder filled with up to date local information which we found very helpful. Location wise this was a great base for exploring the Northern Lakes and surrounding areas. It is a peaceful location and we would be happy to recommend the house to our friends and family.

I stayed over the Easter holidays with my 2 children and had a brilliant time.

I stayed over the Easter holidays with my 2 children and had a brilliant time. Its a great holiday home, that is spotlessly clean with everything you could need. A short car ride away to Ullswater for boat trips and walks. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming, offering handy tips about the local area. We would certainly go back for a 2nd visit.

Bumblebee Nook is a little gem, tucked away in a very quiet idyllic spot. We loved the extra touches, vases of fresh flowers, complimentary bottle of wine and fudge! Cottage is very clean, comfortable and well equipped, with plenty of room for 6 people. Julie and Tim, the owners, live next door and couldn’t have been more welcoming.
